Synopsis
I had always thought that life and I were best friends, that luck would always be on my side, that I was the epitome of perfection itself but little did naive, little me know. Life is unfair, luck can be bad and perfection is easily shattered but I payed for it, I learned that information the hard and cruel way. Life betrayed me and took away my parents, perfection turned on me and disappeared before my eyes and luck? My luck went from bad to worse to worst. Have you ever had people in your life that stand by you, support you and give you good advice? If you have then you understand that those people become incredibly important people in your life that it's like they've become melded in you, they become part of your personality, your rock and you begin to admire them and believe that you would have never achieved what you have if not for them. You place them on a pedestal in your head, one far higher than yourself. Now imagine that those people turn their backs on you and betray you and you find out that all their "good" advice were just merely the worst possible advice one could ever receive wrapped up in a pretty pink ribbon. You find out that they are two faced snakes who came into your life just to deceive and destroy. The pain from that is simply indescribable, like if you were on top of a building and it begins crumbles from the ground up sending you falling down but this time instead of falling to your death, you fall down a dark well and begin to wonder a dark path of depression, guilt, self hate and depreciation and regret and I promise you that is a fate far worse than death. I loved watching Spy movies as a kid, I'd even dream about them. I always thought it looked so cool seeing the main character fly through the air and do awesome tricks and defeat the bad guy but everyone else around me disagreed. They all said that spies were bad people and were never to be trusted but I didn't listen, I only trusted what I knew. But when my childhood dream that became my reality was handed to me on a silver platter, I finally understood that all that glitters is not gold. The main character always loses everyone and everything and ends up alone and being a spy is far from the fantasy I'd imagined. A spy's life is nothing but a big lie and false documents made to deceive, infiltrate and annihilate the lives of others. I give you three pieces of advice to carry with you on this damned journey called life. Never, ever under no circumstances must you ever trust a spy they are wolves in sheep's clothing. TRUST NO ONE. Keep a good eye on your pillars, attack before they can make their move. Everything comes with a price some as just more horrid that others. ***** Author here, I hope you enjoyed reading the synopsis, it was really fun to write but for more elaboration; This story is about the adventures of Andrea and her three best friends but it focuses more on Andrea, as she's the main charcter but there are some chapters whers the POV will changeand focus on her friends ot those around her. Andrea, having growing up in a loving family, finds it hard to believe that all she has grown to believe is a lie. She discovers that truly everything is not as it seems as it seems in her world of undercover spies.

Chapter 1 - Prologue:An introduction

Prologue: Revenge is best served cold.

I dashed passed a large tree merely avoiding crashing into it and risking getting caught. If only I had brought my motorcycle along with me, I would've been out of here as quickly as I got in. I continued running taking random turns trying my best to shake the men off my trail. I made a daring turn into a narrow path only to make an abrupt stop- It was a dead end!.

'Why does this almost always happen?' I thought, now extremely annoyed.

I hurriedly began surveying my environment, desperately looking for any way to escape. I was in a cave, so I couldn't climb to anywhere and my comms were still not working. I had to think of something and fast or who knows what they'd do to me if I was caught but how in the world do you escape a dead end?

Suddenly, the sound of a gunshot echoed in my ears sending a rushing gust of adrenaline through my veins and soon after came the sound created by the impact of the bullet on the wall ahead of me.

'Damn it!' I hissed, I'd been caught.

I raised my hands above my head and slowly turned around to face them. I gave an awkward smile at five men who were all pointing their guns at me. The burly man with a scarred face and an expression harsh enough to give anyone the creeps spoke up "Give us the flash or die!". Everything about his voice expressed nothing but a thirst for murder and blood lust.

~~~~~~
I bet you're all wondering how I ended up in something as surreal as this, so why don't I start from the very beginning.
My parents were your classic run-off-the-mill romcom couples. They were inseparable -their love literally knew no bound. It was always something special the kind you'd rarely see in real life and probably only see in story books and fantasies.
They dated for a few months and got married in a grand wedding style. And a year later, they had me...and my twin brother Luca. My parents were mega rich so, Luca and I grew up comfortably, wrapped and shielded by the warmth of our parents unbreakable love. Everything seemed perfect, but who would have known that perfection could be easily broken- shattered to pieces like glass. All it took to destroy our perfect lives was one unfortunate, bloody night.
When I was a bit over 14, I woke up to the sounds of gunshots, panicked I got out of bed and dashed out of my room to follow the sounds and figure out what in the world was going on. I spotted Luca coming out of his room too, no doubt it was the noise that woke him up too. As we ran down the stairs of our villa, I could hear my mother's voice, she was begging... continuously.
I opened the door to living room which seemed to be the source of the noise. I stopped dead in my tracks at the most horrifying sight. A sight that sent my world forever in array.
My dad lay wounded on the floor and my mom... "Please, please. I'm begging you don't shoot. We'll give you whatever you want. Is it fame? Money? Recognition? Whatever you want. We have it and we'll give it to you." I heard her beg and I looked around to see my mother being held at gunpoint. "It's too late for that now miss, you and your husband made Mr. Dexter very angry."
"You... you stay away from my wife." My father said trying to stand up from the floor. "Where do you think you're going to mister? Get back on the floor" another man said knocking my father unconscious.
And with that, he pulled the trigger "Bang!" Her body fell to the floor. My heart raced, thudding on my ribs as sweat rolled down from my face. My mother had just been shot right in front of my eyes. "Mom!" I screamed in my head, desperately trying to run to her but my body won't move. Finally, I collapsed on the floor- my legs failing me and screamed, breaking into loud sobs. The masked assassins looked up from the mess they'd made, sparing us a few quick glances. "Sorry you had to see this kids. It was never meant to end like this." One of them said before they all escaped through the now shattered windows.
I quickly crawled to my parents "Mom! Dad!" I yelled sobbing, "Mom wake up please. Please mom just open your eyes and look at me." I said in between sobs before finally passing out.
Everything else that happened in my life was a blur.
I remember waking up at the hospital, frantically calling out for my mom and dad, to prove that all that had happened was just a silly dream and then I'd hug them and tell them about my sily dream and we'd all laugh about it and then go home together. But it never happened. That wasn't my reality.
Instead of my parents running in, Luca and my best friend, Maya came in. They told me what I already knew, that my mom was gone. They said that dad was badly injured and was in a coma but he wasn't going to die- which was good news.
I remember at the time I was so angry at my brother because he just remained stoic and nonchalant as if we hadn't just lost our mom. But more than anything I was burning with rage for the people who broke into our house and murdered my mom and I swore, that day, right then and there to make sure they all paid for their crimes and that Mr. Dexter...suffers after all, like the saying goes, Revenge is best served cold.
It wasn't until later, I stopped hating Luca when I finally opened my eyes to see that Luca wasn't to blame and that it wasn't his fault. Him being stoic and nonchalant was just his way of grieving mom. It was hard for him to deal with all this too, after all he was the one left all alone when I fainted. So I apologised to him and we made up.
Anyways, we continued staying with dad everyday until he woke up and in a few months, our lives were back to what seemed like our new normal. We had buried mom, Luca and I went back to school, all our damaged properties in the house were replaced. Our security guards had helped fight during the break in and some of them sadly passed. Among those who didn't die, most of them resigned out of fear while the others where fired and replaced because they obviously couldn't do their job and dad went back to work.
We were all devastated when we lost mom and we all tried to move on and look towards the future, well all of us... except dad. He was crushed and he threw himself deep into work. He barely ever slept, always stayed in his room and quickly lost interest in raising us-we practically didn't exist to him anymore. I didn't really blame him though after all she was his other ha lf, his soulmate.So Luca, being older twin understood what was going on and took it upon himself to raise the both of us himself. He gave me all the parental attention and care he could for an entire four years . Luca and I graduated high school soon after and dad sent us to live with our Aunt Siobhan, mom's sister.
Living with Aunt Siobhan was great, even though we only stayed there for a few months because a few weeks after we moved in with her, we got an amazing job offer from our uncle- Mr. Wilson. All we had to do was pass a test and the job was ours but I can't tell you what the test was,that part's confidential and if I told you... I'd have to eliminate you.
In a basic summary, Luca and I passed the test because we're awesome. We got the job, then moved in with uncle after a few months and now, we're undercover SPIES who stop the baddies and their hench men and help the good guys! It's the real deal.
Note: Incase you read the synopsis and saw there that the uncle's name is Mark, it is correct. His name is Mark Wilson.
