By late morning, the camp was already bustling. Ay was busy ordering all of the servants to repair the walls, go hunting and fishing, and oversee the preparation of the deceased's cremation since it would be disastrous for a pandemic to spread due to the bodies there.
The last battle demonstrated to them that the wooden wall was insufficient to fend off the attacks of the nightmare creatures, and this was only the second wave, so they would have to upgrade it to make it full of rock, but the only place they could obtain the necessary quantity of rocks was the Kobold Mountain, which presents a problem in terms of how they would respond to it.
Lau was relieved that the crops had not been harmed in the previous battle and that they were growing nicely as a result of her dryad's blessing. She and her employees were irrigating the farms as usual and managing the plagues; for the time being, the crops only needed morning attention, allowing the farmers to work elsewhere.
