Chapter 4 - chapter 3

A week passed after he adapted to his new life, making sure to visit his family once every once in a while. Before he got a text for him to get to Vought Tower for their meeting at the Seven's conference room, putting his headphones on he set to his playlist which was set up to match his normal superspeed without using his Speedforce.

The first song he set to play was {the Weeknd- Starboy} bouncing on his toes with the beat before blasting off, with the world slowed down dodging and weaving both vehicles and people before growing bold and started to run upward a high tower before using his speed to boost his jump.

Parkouring through the vents and other pipes and other odd ends in the rooftops, as he ran and flipped through the rooftops feeling the music and the tempo. The feeling was amazing making him feel like a ninja, which he kind of was in his last life, before he ran down the building stopping before the tower.

Going upwards to the room at a regular speed with a now normal set speed playlist playing, with some some employees excitedly raising their hands for high fives upon seeing him which he responded with giving them the high fives as he passed by with a smirk before entering the elevator.

The elevator stopped climbing up half way as Ashley entered the elevator with her hands filled with paperwork, he gave her a nod of acknowledgement to which she responded with a smile before he went ahead closing his eyes grooving with the music playing on his headphones while waiting for his stop.

Exiting he made his way to the Seven's Chamber to which he opened as he went in, some already there like Meave, Translucent and Black Noir who turned their heads to his direction. Getting to his chair he went ahead and took his seat while pulling off his headphones, he then greeted them with Noir responding with a nod and Translucent smiling in return giving him a nod.

Meave with her perpetual frown did not bother to respond only pulling out her phone to distract herself, Reggie also did the same looking through his account with which he has around 676,590,000 dollars on his bank making plans to buy himself an abandoned warehouse which he could renovate privately for himself. The Deep pulled up greeting everyone cheerily which everyone ignored, before taking the seat next to Reggie.

" Hey bro, I've been barely seeing you. What have you been up to lately?" He asked, looking at the most weirdest member of their team Reggie responded.

"I missed the part where that's my problem, what I do with my time is my business."

Raising his arms Deep tried to deescalate the situation "Woah woah woah, you've got the wrong idea bro. I was just making a small talk homie..... What's got your panties in a bunch huh?"

Looking at the Deep with annoyance Reggie responded "Let's make something so clear that your fish brained intellect can understand, we aren't friends, we are never going to be friends, the only reason I tolerate you is because you are a member of the seven otherwise keep yourself and your aquatic fetishes to yourself....did I make any sense to that pathetic excuse you call a brain?"

Looking deeply hurt by what was said he only nodded with a sad expression before moving to a different seat, before folding his arms on the table before putting his head on them.

Meave tried to keep a straight face yet failing miserably, Translucent still invisible except for his clothing's shoulders which were moving constantly indicating a silent laughter and Noir was just Noir.

"Aww poor baby, Come on A-train no need to be this cold to Deep eh?

.....Just kidding that was hilarious Ahahahahahahahaha!!!" Came a voice as Homelander made his appearance, the cape flowing behind him as he made his way to his head seat laughing all the while.

"Ahhh I really needed that, A-train remind me not to get on your bad side eh?" Joked Homelander, as he took a seat as his laugh was calming down.

"Now let our meeting begin." He said with a now serious expression, the team made their plans about their upcoming movies, shows, and other vise's to earn more money.

It went all the way to around five when they finished, as everyone was leaving Homelander called out for Reggie to wait.

"Yes how can I help you Homelander?" Asked Reggie causing Homelander to scoff and say to Reggie "Come now, how many times must I tell you to call me John? No need to be so stiff when we are amongst our own."

Reggie knowing Homelander's Character very well with his knowledge, and also many foes he had to deal with in his last life as an assassin so he did not fear him at all.

"I'll be sure to keep it in mind John, so what's up? Why ask me to stay?" Asked Reggie, causing Homelander to smile patting his back.

"Oh nothing much, just the fact that you've been active in saving civilians from robbery, buildings on fire, mugging... What's up with that? Are you trying to upstage us?"

"Nope, I just happened to be passing by when I saw those happen. And so instead of just letting people die I helped out, I don't care about the public opinions just helped out a bit"

Homelander was careful watching and listening to Reggie's heartbeat, his micro expressions, his perspiration and anything that would indicate his nervousness or deception. Reggie was not only coming up clean but also seems honest in his words, something that is quite rare amongst most of them.

Patting his shoulder Homelander gave Reggie a smile, nodding in what seemed like approval he the escorted Reggie to the exit as he said.

"Glad to hear so Reggie, well let me not keep you. After all all of us are busy with something important right?"

"Yeah thanks, do let me know if something pops up." Was Reggie's response as Homelander only chuckled in return, leaving the conference room and Homelander on his own. His expression changed instantly the moment he was alone.

"Developing a hero complex all the sudden huh?" Muttered Homelander to himself, as he stroked his chin deep in thought.

"Hope you don't get in my way of fame Reggie, wouldn't want accidents to happen (Smiling dangerously) after all I'm the one true hero, hahahahahahahaha." Deranged laughter filled the empty room.
