After a day of rest, I woke up the next morning only to be scared out of my wits by a little devil.
"WHOA! WHO ARE YOU?"
(3rd person POV)
Athena, frightened by the appearance of a little demon, jumped out of his bed.
"Prince Athena, what happened?" shouted Alisha as she entered the room, only to find Athena on the floor with minimal clothes on him.
Alisha, blushing at the sight of Athena, squinted and blocked her eyes with her hands, only to peek through a small gap between her fingers.
Athena, embarrassed by the situation, tried to divert Alisha's attention by pointing his finger towards the ceiling and asking, "Alisha, can you see this?"
Alisha, still blushing from what she had just seen, diverted her eyes towards the direction at which Athena was pointing and, while tilting her head to the left, asked in a confused voice, "What are you talking about, Prince Athena? There isn't anything there."
Athena, confused by Alisha's reaction, turned towards the little demon. Just then, a voice echoed inside his head.
"Hey there, still remember me?"
As Athena carefully glanced at the little demon, he realized it was Luo but in a smaller version. Athena, confused by the sudden appearance of Luo's miniature form, questioned, "How are you here, Luo? And why is it that only I can see you?"
Luo, with a big grin on his face, answered, "Heh! I will tell you that if you get me a freshly baked strawberry pie."
Athena, with eyes full of anger, started glaring at Luo. Just then, Luo, with a disappointed voice, said, "You are no fun."
"Alright, alright, let me start by introducing myself. I am Black, a miniature form of Luo the demon lord whom you met previously. I was created to help you with the dangers that you will face in this life."
MC's POV
This small, doll-like demon is a small version of Luo? The same Luo who scared me so much that even my soul couldn't move an inch?
But just then, a sudden series of questions entered my mind, "Then are your memories and the memories of Luo the same? Who is he? Why did he call me his son?"
Luo, with somewhat sleepy eyes, replied, "No, my memories are not in any way connected with my creator's. I am just a mirror image of my creator with just enough information to help you in any way possible. Your questions will be answered by my creator himself when the time comes."
Athena was shocked. Before his series of questions, Black was a free spirit that somehow had its own consciousness. But as soon as his questions were over, Black, unlike his usual self, replied with a recorded message in a machine-like voice.
Just as Athena opened his lips to ask another question, Black, with almost closed eyes, replied, "I think I will need some time to recover from the fatigue I just accumulated answering your questions. So I am going to sleep for a few hours. See ya later..."
What exactly is Black? What dangers was he talking about?
Many such questions pondered in my mind. But these questions were something that would be answered with time.
What I need the most is power. Whatever danger I am about to face will be the greatest one I have ever faced until now.
What I want is a type of power that can help me fix this damn body fast.
After that, Athena sat in a lotus position and started going through all the techniques he had learned in his previous lives. But as most of the memories of Athena's previous lives were sealed for some unknown reason, he had very few options to choose from.
At that time, Athena stumbled across the body enhancement technique he had learned on the planet named Platimus.
Platimus was a planet rich with mana as well as aura. Many of the powerful figures on Platimus were mostly magicians or knights. But there was one more type of energy that only Athena knew about.
It was spiritual energy. The spiritual energy, or in simpler words, spirit mana, was something only Athena was able to figure out after years of research. But he wasn't the first to discover it.
During his time on Platimus, Athena stumbled upon a ruin of an ancient warrior through which he was able to learn the 'Spirit Enhancement Technique.'
It was a technique similar to martial arts where, through countless training, the mana vessels throughout the body broaden, increasing the quantity as well as the quality of mana inside the vessel. The interesting fact was that the upper realm, where Athena had reincarnated, had an energy which, if broken down a bit, could be used as a medium for any techniques Athena had mastered in his previous life, be it martial arts, magic, or even Taoism.
Athena did not know why his body was not able to store any demonic energy despite his mana vessels being completely fine. And so, ignoring the problem with the demonic energy, Athena started to train in his Spirit Enhancement Technique.
TWO DAYS LATER...
MC's POV
The mana vessels that were clogged due to the impurities of this useless body have now somewhat opened.
I have also reached stage one of the Spirit Enhancement Technique. Due to me reaching the first stage of the Spirit Enhancement Technique, I can now feel some strength in my arms. And my body has now become somewhat muscular compared to all the skin and bones a few days ago.
Alisha enters Athena's room, even though Athena had ordered her not to unless he called for her.
Upon arriving, Alisha, disgusted by the smell of the waste secreted by Athena's body, exclaims, "COUGH COUGH. What happened here, Prince Athena?"
Athena, who was still channeling his spirit mana through his body, slowly opened his eyes, only to be disgusted by his own bodily waste.
"It's nothing, Alisha. I was just training after a while, and it looks like it has resulted in some of the impurities from my body being released. But why have you entered my abode even though I specifically told you not to do so?"
To which Alisha replied in a hurried voice, "Oh, Prince Athena, today is the day Walpurgis will be held. You are to visit the Walpurgis meeting today."
OH, I ALMOST FORGOT
Athena, suddenly realizing about the meeting, asked Alisha, "Alisha, for what reason am I being summoned for today's Walpurgis?"
Alisha was shocked by the sudden question from Athena. She became worried, realizing that Athena might have forgotten his memories prior to his coma.
"Um... Prince Athena, do you really not know why you are being summoned to the Walpurgis today?" asked Alisha with wrinkles all over her forehead.
Athena, confused and still not remembering anything, asked with a sharp tone, "Just what have I done to make your face like that?"
Alisha, realizing the current state of Athena, glanced at him with a pitiful look and answered, "Three months ago, you tried to rape the only daughter of Lord Asura, Miss Charlotte, while you were drunk. In accordance with your inappropriate behavior, Miss Charlotte used one of her lethal techniques on you, which resulted in you being bedridden for the past three months."
Upon realizing the horror the past owner of this body had committed, Athena, with his fist clenched and eyes filled with rage, sighed. "Just how many more of these evil deeds have you done?" he talked to himself with a harsh tone.
"Alisha, get me ready for the Walpurgis," said Athena with regret in his eyes.
15 minutes later
Athena, in his formal outfit, was nothing to scoff at. With white hair and skin as fair as snow (just like Luo, if you know), his charisma was just like any other royalty. And with the recent muscle built due to the Spirit Enhancement Technique, his presence had leveled up a notch. But the most unique feature of Athena was none other than his blood-red eyes.
Athena, in his formal attire, left his abode. Just then, he detected a strong presence with a very weak one right behind him. It was none other than Charlotte, together with her maid, waiting outside Athena's room.
"So, you have finally decided to show yourself after a whole three months, Athena."
"You shouldn't talk to his highness, the first prince, like that, Miss Charlotte," said the maid beside Charlotte in a very small voice.
Athena, mesmerized by the beauty of Charlotte, was stunned for a moment.
Just as Athena came back to his senses, a crackling voice of a young child shouted with utter disgust, "UGH, WHY ARE YOU OUTSIDE, OLDER BROTHER?"
It was none other than Greed with Queen Lilith. They, too, were heading towards the Walpurgis.
Athena, with a grin on his face, replied, "My, my, Greed. Have you forgotten what happened the last time you talked to me like that?"
Greed, embarrassed from the flashbacks of the past, decided to rush towards the Walpurgis, after which Lilith quietly followed.
