Inside Elise's abode was quite cozy and comforting. Rustic walls and furniture littered with different abnormal flowers and fauna some even emitting some sort of particles.
By the time they arrived it was already night.
Yet the room was as bright as day.
Or rather lit up like a the lilac sky of dawn.
Sitting on a roughed up soft couch.
He looked at the circular window that housed multiple flowers of different variety.
And in the middle of the window, kissed by Luna's light.
Shone a Silver flower that had sharp petals with nothing by pure white in its stigma.
It left an impression that it would last the longest amongst the others in the room.
Hanging gently by two green vines that held it from its right and left like a bridge. The left vine had a black and purple flower with many layers of wide petals, that one was as big as Fin's head.
The right had this peculiar flower, a flower that really stood out from the rest. If the flowers were already unique this one was like a combination of every flower in the room. Each petal swayed, each with different features, sizes, particles emitting and each with different color. The weirdest part was the stem, it was the most fragile looking stem he has ever seen.
Fin wondered how the stem could carry such weight of the dense petals.
Fin was amused for the first time in what felt like decades. A young boy really was not built to handle such trauma that Fin faced. Yet Fin kinda was, thanks to Teresa's care. But gods know that even with all the tools and training a 11 year old boy will not survive without getting out with a few psyche mishaps.
'Huh.'
Anyways the young boy couldn't be bothered. He just wanted to enjoy and savor this moment.
He didn't notice it, but the room was litten up by the glowing particles the unique flora gave.
Fin could feel being rejuvenated slowly just by being in this room.
And this room was just nothing short of heaven.
Fin thought embraced by comfort
'This is crazy.'
He couldn't help but be at peace here.
It's like he was here many times before.
And the aroma that permeated all throughout the room really gave it that nostalgic feel.
Uncontrollably he suddenly blurted with an easy relaxed voice.
"I could die here."
"No you wouldn't sonny. Even if you tried."
She replied from the kitchen counter at the right side of the couch.
"Damn I really said that out loud. The flowers are getting in my brain"
He awkwardly chuckled.
Now wearing her thick grey garments.
Cradling a cup of tea, she approached relaxed Fin with a smile.
"In fact they are"
She sat down right beside him and placed the mug on the spruce cofee table infront of Finsley.
"Huh?"
"Yeah, as we speak they are releasing all types of burden from inside your body. From physical to spiritual. Quite literally."
She chuckled as she saw Fin's pale face in shock.
"No way.. Wait Ms. Elise i may seem rude but how old are you?"
She smiled and replied.
"136 young sonny."
"Huh..."
Distracted Fin.
She grabbed his broken arm firmly but not to tight as it would hurt the boy.
"What happened? Oh nothing just wolves I guess.."
"Goodness gracious. Stay for the night, I will get this healed by the morning."
With a grateful voice that undertoned shame.
"Oh no, no need. Thank you for the hospitality you've done enough.. Trust me.."
"Oh that? It's okay son, you can take more of the fruits. I have an abundance of them."
Only shame in his voice.
"You knew?"
"I mean I doubt there could be anyone else here other than the two of us."
She laughed comfort and easiness followed.
'I'm safe here. I am so safe.'
The 11 year old boy in Fin surged back and submitted to this woman's kindness and comfort.
She hugged him and caressed his silver hair.
"You've been through a lot huh, by morning you will tell me everything"
"O-okay."
In her warm embrace he lost consciousness.
His body snugged leaving deep caveins on the soft surface of the couch.
Elise stood up and grabbed a blanket and made sure to cover Fin's body as a whole.
With Fin unconscious she quickly went to her kitchen and grabbed her knife with her right hand.
Slowly approaching the unconscious boy..
She sliced.
A yellow unfamiliar plump fruit held by her left hand.
She squeezed the juice and poured it in Finsley's mouth. Then she wiped his face and went to a yellow flower hanging on the side of a wall.
Putting down the knife on the table, she grabbed the flower. The flora was another of her creations it wasn't normal. It looked like the embodiment of spring and joy with its five sharp wide petals.
She held it tightly and rubbed it with the previous fruit.
She came to Fin once more and took of his makeshift splint. She rubbed the essence on his arm. The residue on her hand went to his chest and forehead.
With that Fin was gonna be healed by the morning.
And then that morning came, accompanied by energy brimming in Fin's body.
Elise's drank her tea as she provided her old soft legs as a pillow for Fin.
Gracefully caressing his Silver hair.
Slowly opening his eyes he was greeted.
"Goodmorning Son."
"Goodmorning.."
He slowly rose and sat up. Realising something was really different.
"A really great morning!"
His body was fully healed. No actually it felt like he was stronger than before.
He looked at the Grandma with his glistening blue eyes, he hugged her tightly.
"Thank you."
With her familiar comforting voice.
"No problem... Now what do you want to eat?"
"Uhmm.. Can I have a fruit salad?"
He shamefully asked.
Smilingly she replied with that tone.
"Of course."
As each chopping of the fruits vibrates. The particle emmision from the flowers matched it's tempo.
It was like fireworks.
But fin, he couldn't notice it. He was to pre occupied.
He decided, he was gonna lie. He was gonna lie to his saviour. His only comfort in this shitty city. He was gonna lie in this save haven filled with flora and a spectrum of smell and colors.
If the garden of Eden was real, he was the first one to indulge in its peace along with its master.
He wasn't gonna shamefully ask for her help as he used to hope in the cave. Things were different now. He had to leave this woman alone in his pursuit for revenge. It's not like he had restricted himself to use others anyways. He just wanted to spare her the trouble.
"It's done"
She said from the counter
Fin smiled.
"Oh, thank you so much Lola."
She took a seat beside him and placed the plate infront of him along with silverware and tea.
"Lola? I've always wanted to ask you what that means."
"Huh?i thought it was common to call old ladies who you respect. 'lola'?"
"Never heard anyone call me that. Maybe no one respects me other than you kid."
She chuckled.
"Goodness.. How can someone not respect you."
With a bright warm smile she replied. As she scruffs up Fin's head
"Hey, Fi-Fent. Would you like to stay here for the meantime? I mean don't you like it here my boy."
While stuffing fruits in his mouth.
"Su-. Im gonna have to decline."
With a dissapointed and confused old voice.
"Could I ask, what is your reason."
He looked her in the eyes, wiping gunk on his mouth whilst doing so.
"I have unfinished business."
"Oh right, what are you even doing here in the middle of nowhere son.?"
"Just a little sightseeing that's all"
'Huh? That was the trashest lie I've ever said. The flowers, it's the flowers and fruits..'
Trying to hide her worry she responded in somber
"Oh okay.."
They sat in silence.
The room seemed darker for some reason.
After a few moments Fin finished his fruit bowl.
"Well, Ill be off now. I really am grateful for everything you've done. So please don't worry about me and gift me more. You've done enough."
He stood up and opened the door with his newly healed left arm.
"Wait!"
"Huh?"
"Just wait a second. Here this is yours. Come visit me sometime okay."
She grabbed a bag filled with no more than 50 fruits.
Reluctant he drove away her gift.
"Oh no, please.. I have taken enough, and.. stolen a lot. So please, keep it. You've done more than enough, much so that I can't even begin to repay you."
Gently smiling.
"So start by accepting this. I insist."
Fin was lost in thought for a while.
Until tears appeared. He dashed towards her and embraced her tightly.
"Okay!, I swear I'm gonna visit you sometime later."
He grabbed the heavy bag of fruits shamelessly and wiped his tears.
Smilingly.
"I'll be off now!"
He opened the door and walked to snowy terrain lit up by the white sun. Seemingly less bleak and filled with newfound beauty
"Be sure to visit me sometime Fin!"
"Okay!! I swear to my life!"
They waved their goodbyes.
