(Pacey Michelyne)
**Blue Gem Company**
The Blue Gem Company, a prestigious three-story enterprise in the UK, is renowned for its exquisite jewelry and breathtaking designs. Owned by Pacey Michelyne, the company initially gained recognition due to her father's position as a minister, but it soon soared to fame thanks to Pacey's undeniable talent—though some whispered otherwise.
Pacey Michelyne walked into the company, her presence commanding attention. Standing at 5'7" with short brunette hair, her elegance and strict demeanor inspired both fear and respect.
Trailing behind her at 5'0" was Noon Thawan, her ponytail bouncing as she eagerly followed. "I told you working with me is hard. You better pick up your pace or you'll lose me," Pacey teased.
Realizing the jab at her height, Noon quickened her steps, blushing. "Stop teasing me; it's not funny."
As the two entered the elevator, Pacey burst into laughter. "I was just joking. You're all red now."
Noon, sweating, protested, "It's not my fault I'm short."
As Pacey's laughter subsided, Noon smiled. "What is it?" Pacey asked.
Noon looked ahead, still smiling. "I haven't seen you laugh in a while. It must've been tough."
Pacey replied, "I guess."
Arriving on the third floor, Pacey led Noon to her office. "Your desk is right here. If there's an emergency, just knock on my door," Pacey said, showing Noon her workspace.
Pacey then introduced Mrs. William, "She'll show you around and teach you whatever you need."
Pacey left the two and headed into her office.
**Ring**
"Mom?" Pacey answered.
"Pacey, honey, I'm sorry for the late notice, but someone very important wants to meet you. She's been a fan of your designs for quite some time, and I need you to welcome her. She's a VIP customer," her mother said.
Pacey sighed, "Mom, I'm busy. My schedule is full."
"Pacey, I'm asking for a favor. She really is an important customer. We must grasp this opportunity. Please do this for me, for us," her mother pleaded.
Pacey rolled her eyes. "I'll try to squeeze it in. Please send the information to my secretary."
"Thank you, honey! I love you!" her mother said happily before hanging up.
Pacey leaned back in her chair. "She only calls when she needs a favor..." she murmured, looking out the window. "Why do I get a weird feeling about this?"
**knock**
Mrs. William entered after receiving permission. "Miss Pacey, your mother sent in some–"
Pacey rubbed her temple. "I know. She called. Please try your best to readjust my schedule."
Mrs. William nodded and left.
**Meeting room**
Pacey checked her watch. The guest was still not here.
Noon whispered to Pacey, "Is the guest that important?"
Pacey smiled and shrugged.
Just then, there was a knock, and the door opened.
Luke Baxter, a slightly chubby Taiwanese man in glasses wearing a dark red suit, entered.
In a wheelchair was Rayen Ayelen, followed by Leon Davenport, a young Black man standing at 6'1", who pushed her wheelchair inside.
Rayen settled at the meeting table. "I apologize for not notifying you beforehand. My name is Rayen Ayelen."
So this was what Pacey's mother meant. Rayen Ayelen, the only heir to the Ayelen family, a billionaire known for their car business. Adopted by Gardner Ayelen and Vivian Clem, Rayen became the sole heir to the Ayelen fortune after her parents died in a fire.
Pacey smiled. "It's fine. I heard you were a fan."
Rayen smiled and gestured for Leonce and Luke to step outside. "Would it be okay if I spoke to you in private?" Rayen asked calmly.
"This–" Noon was interrupted by Pacey. Pacey shook her head, signaling it was fine.
Once everyone left the room, Rayen asked, "Is it okay if I hold your hand?"
A strange question. Pacey hesitated. "Well..."
"I promise I won't do anything weird," Rayen chuckled.
Pacey complied and reached out to Rayen's hand.
As their hands touched, both of their eyes turned white.
A voice echoed in Pacey's mind. "I know who you are."
Pacey quickly pulled away. "You—what are you?" she asked, standing up.
Rayen smiled and handed her a card. "This may seem unbelievable, but we have the same destiny. Like you, I have a special talent. Those things you see—they're not normal, and it seems they're getting out of hand. We don't have much time, Miss Michelyn."
"Get out."
"I'm telling you the truth," Rayen said as Leonce opened the door.
Pacey stands up," I said get out!".
Before leaving, Rayen added, "The world needs you. I'll be waiting."
Noon rushed to Pacey. "What happened? I heard a noise. Are you okay?"
Pacey gave Noon a worried look.
**Outside the elevator**
Rayen, Leonce, and Luke.
Luke broke the silence. "That was a little too rushed, Rayen. You should've given her a warning or something. Do you know how hard I tried to find her? She was a big deal, you know?".
Rayen glanced down. "But we don't have much time."
Luke sighed. "Why do you always say we don't have much time? Are you going somewhere?"
Rayen shook her head. "No...I'm just afraid things won't unfold prettily."
Luke questioned Rayen's statement and sighed. "You still have me, don't you? And Leonce too," he said, playfully hitting Leonce's shoulder.
Leonce nodded.
Rayen shook her head at Luke's antics. Soon, the elevator door opened.
**Michelyne's Estate**
Pacey glanced out from the balcony into the darkness. What was Rayen Ayelen talking about? And why did she feel such strong energy when touching Rayen's hand? What was that voice in her head? What did she mean by destiny and helping the world? How did seeing spirits relate to saving the world?
Pacey chuckled. Maybe this was just nonsense. Maybe Rayen was just playing with her.
Turning towards her bed, Pacey's eyes caught the sight of her bow hanging on the wall.
Pacey sighed. Why was this happening to her? Why her?
