Hearing the familiar voice, Su Mu's spirits lifted immediately.
He quickly shouted in response, "Mr. Guo, I'm over here!!"
Afraid that Guo Jiarui hadn't heard him, Su Mu called out a few more times.
Soon enough, Guo Jiarui arrived at Su Mu's location, bringing with him Qiao Jiaojiao, and the veterinarian from last time, Dr. Lin Can.
"Wow, what a huge tiger!"
Qiao Jiaojiao exclaimed in shock as she saw the large tiger lying beside Su Mu.
"Mr. Guo, this is urgent. The tiger has been unconscious for nearly twenty minutes."
"It seems like she's about to give birth, and the pain must have been too much, causing her to pass out."
Su Mu quickly explained the situation, as there were some things that couldn't be fully described over the phone.
Now that a vet was here, he naturally had to clarify the situation.
"Mr. Su, I understand. I'll examine the tiger first."
Dr. Lin nodded and approached the tiger, gently pressing on her abdomen.
His face suddenly turned serious.
"Old Guo, Mr. Su is right; this tiger is indeed about to give birth."
"And from the looks of it, this is probably her first time, so she's completely unprepared."
"If we don't intervene, the delivery could go terribly wrong."
"What should we do then?" Guo Jiarui's expression darkened.
Although he worked for the forestry bureau, he wasn't trained in animal delivery—that was the vet's job.
"First, we need to provide a warm environment for this tiger."
"We also need to prepare a good birthing environment. I intend to assist her with the delivery."
"But out here in the wilderness, there's no suitable place for that."
"The only suitable environment would be at Mr. Su's home."
Qiao Jiaojiao chimed in from the side.
"Mr. Guo, Dr. Lin, let's go to my house. I have some medicine for treating animal injuries there as well."
"Also, my grandfather was a vet and helped many animals in the past, so the environment at my place should be good."
"Alright, time is of the essence. We brought a stretcher this time, so let's carefully place the tiger on it and carry her to Mr. Su's home," Guo Jiarui decided.
Qiao Jiaojiao ran to the vehicle to fetch the stretcher.
Then, they carefully placed the tiger on the stretcher.
Su Mu and Guo Jiarui lifted the stretcher together and headed towards Su Mu's house.
A few minutes later, they finally arrived at Su Mu's home.
Inside, Su Mu prepared a large cushion for the tiger.
They placed the cushion on the table and then carefully laid the tiger on top of it.
Dr. Lin began preparing the tools needed for the delivery.
But just then, the tiger, who had been unconscious, slowly started to wake up.
Seeing herself in an unfamiliar environment, surrounded by strangers, she immediately tensed up and let out a roar.
"Ah!"
Qiao Jiaojiao, who had been standing a bit too close, was startled by the tiger's sudden awakening and fierce gaze, letting out a scream.
"The tiger woke up at this critical moment??"
"Don't be afraid, don't be afraid. We aren't going to hurt you; we're here to help you give birth."
Seeing this, Su Mu realized the tiger was very anxious. He quickly held her head, stroking her gently while speaking softly to comfort her.
Perhaps because Su Mu's touch was soothing, or maybe the tiger found some sense of safety in him, her initially tense body gradually relaxed.
Seeing this, Su Mu couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.
If his attempt to calm her hadn't worked, the tiger might have lashed out, endangering everyone in the room.
Fortunately, his comforting efforts had been effective.
"Dr. Lin, please continue with what you need to do."
"Whatever you need, ask Mr. Guo and Miss Qiao to assist you. I can't leave her side."
Su Mu warned Dr. Lin and the others in advance, as the tiger still needed his comfort.
If he were to leave now, it would only lead to one outcome—one that none of them would want to see.
"Alright. Old Guo, Xiao Qiao, I need your help next."
"Dr. Lin, whatever you need, just ask."
"The lighting in this room isn't ideal. I need one of you to adjust it. Also, I need a basin of well water."
"I'll get it."
The two quickly went to prepare the requested items.
Once everything was ready, Dr. Lin also prepared the anesthetic.
Considering the tiger was carrying cubs, he couldn't risk giving too high a dose.
"Su Mu, we'll need to try and make this a natural birth. I'm going to help push, but during the process, the tiger will likely be in pain. You must hold on tight!!"
Dr. Lin warned seriously.
"Dr. Lin, go ahead. I'll do my best to keep her calm."
Su Mu understood that the upcoming events would likely cause the tiger to become fierce. If he couldn't keep her calm, it could be very dangerous.
Dr. Lin put on plastic gloves, placed his hands on the tiger's abdomen, and began gently pushing.
As he did, the tiger immediately let out a heart-wrenching roar that echoed through the house.
"Hold her down!"
"You must hold her down!!"
Feeling the tiger struggle, Dr. Lin shouted.
"Old Guo, focus the light over here!!"
Suddenly, everyone in the room became incredibly tense.
Any mistake at this point could spell disaster for both the mother tiger and her unborn cubs.
So, in the room, there were only two sounds: Dr. Lin's instructions and the tiger's roars.
The others were too tense to speak, not wanting to distract Dr. Lin from his work.
Finally!!
After much effort from Dr. Lin, a small, fur-covered bundle, still wet with mucus, emerged!
"It's out, it's out! Xiao Qiao, give me the towel!!"
Seeing this, Dr. Lin sighed in relief and quickly asked Qiao Jiaojiao for a towel.
"Here, Dr. Lin!"
Qiao Jiaojiao handed over the towel, and Dr. Lin wrapped the newborn cub in it.
"Xiao Qiao, gently place the cub in the basket. Be very careful!"
"Okay."
Qiao Jiaojiao carefully took the cub, nervous about causing any harm to the fragile newborn.
Newborns are extremely delicate, and any mishap could put the young tiger's life at risk.
Fortunately, everything went smoothly.
Meanwhile, Shoushan, the dog, stared curiously at the little tiger cub in the basket, puzzled by how this small animal looked nothing like him.
However, Shoushan simply sat by the basket, not doing anything to the cub inside.
