They finally arrived at the penthouse, it was a little difficult to carry her in his arms out of the limousine but after struggling for a bit he managed to get out. He could have gotten out sooner but he refused to let the driver help even though the nice young man offered.

The Penthouse was empty when he got in, just like he wanted, he had asked the housekeeper to leave so he would be alone with Adeline.
