The year was 2024. It was a time of upheaval and division, and many were trying to scrape by. The streets were packed with the daily commuters in Palermo, Sicily, passing by the ancient architecture. Julius Kraser was walking home after another long day at his dead-end job cashiering in his local supermarket, another day of getting nowhere and having to listen to his boss complaining all day.
The weather was scorching hot in Palermo—36 degrees—and the beautiful blue sunshine was beating down on Julius, who was already sweating.
'When will this weather give me a break?' Julius thought before he was interrupted by a blaring honk. Julius didn't have any time to turn around as he felt himself getting lifted off the ground at breakneck speed. All Julius could comprehend was that he was flying higher into the sky towards space and felt trapped like he was caged. Suddenly, he managed to break free from his invisible bindings and turn around to see the carnage below.
'What is that? Me crushed by the truck, and why am I flying?' Julius screamed in his brain, as Julius was thinking this the scene below had blaring sirens and civilians running in all directions. The truck that hit Julius was mangled in between a few different cars that were pushed onto the sidewalk, killing Julius, who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
As the chaos unfolded below, the once downtrodden Julius kept floating upwards. 'Am I going to heaven?' Julius pondered 'No I can't be I don't believe in higher beings or is there something else out there?' As Julius was second guessing himself, he broke through the atmosphere, seeing the moon and, for the first time, realizing the true emptiness of space being nothing but glowing orbs in the distance. 'wait, if my body is down there, then what am I?'
Looking at himself for the first time since the accident, he realized that he was see-through and glowing in his favourite colour, royal red. 'That's weird. Why am I glowing? Well, at least it is my favourite colour, good old Roman royal red.'
After an unaccountable amount of time, Julius suddenly, without warning, came to a halt, making Julius nearly throw up. Luckily, he didn't have a physical body, or he would have suffered from motion sickness. 'What was that?'
Boom!! A sound similar to thunder but much louder and deadlier was heard. This sound was accompanied by a sudden crack in thin space brimming with power. The space around young Julius started to feel heavy and press him down. He could no longer move his arms; they were pressed tight to his body against his ribs.
"what the hell is going on? This is space. There should be no air in space in this weird spirit form to press me down."
"Hello young Julius Kraser i have been watching you," boomed out a powerful voice that would off made Julius ears bleed if he wasn't in spirit form.
"Wh.. Who are you," Julius said.
"HAHA, did I scare you, young Julius HAHA," the being said to Julius.
"No, I wasn't scared; I was just a little surprised after spending so much time floating," Julius replied.
"HAHA, sure you tell yourself that, anyway i have an offer for you are you interested?" The being said in a booming voice.
"If it takes me away from endless floating, then I accept the offer, but I have one question: Who are you?" replied Julius, excited by the fact that he could be out of endless space before he went mad.
"Good, excellent. I thought you would be interested in what I have to offer. Anyway, to answer your question, I am The Creator of this universe and all powerful in my own domain. Unfortunately, being The Creator can be boring sometimes, and I need entertainment. That's where you come in." said the Creator as he conjured up a chair for both himself and Julius.
As Julius felt himself getting pushed into the chair, he replied, "What, why do you want me to entertain you? You're a God. You can do anything you want anytime."
"It's not as glamorous as you think, Young Julius. Sometimes, it's lonely and boring all by yourself, plus omnipotence is kind of dull knowing what's going to happen. So I plan to turn that part of myself off so that I can watch your journey, Young Julius, wherever that might take you." thundered the voice of the Creator.
"Okay, as long as it takes me away from floating here, so I've seen this in novels before, so what's my golden finger?" hoped Julius as he replied to the almighty being before him, careful not to anger the great god.
"HAHA, I thought you might ask that question as a fan of Webnovels on your small planet called Earth. Let's make this entertaining. What power do you want?" thundered the voice of the Creator.
"Errr, I want the ability to see infinitely future technology and make it work in my new home. Also, I want to be immortal, and..." Julius replied after he had built up the courage.
"HAHA, HAHA you are asking for a lot young Julius i will only grant future technology power but it will be limited young Julius. Anyway we don't have long i have many responsibility's young man, chose a world from these three bronze glow to gold. Bronze is the safest world but also the lowest rewards and potential, while gold is the opposite of bronze; choose wisely, young Julius. Don't disappoint me." Replied The Creator
'this crazy old stingy god wants to send me somewhere to entertain him and still restrict my power; Ha, I will show him.' thought Julius, "I choose the bronze world Master Creator" As Julius said this, he felt drawn towards the golden glowing world, "no, no this isn't what I wanted screw you, Creator," Julius screamed as was sucked through the glowing orb representing the world of greatest danger.
"HAHA, that was a good show, but don't let me down, young Julius. Survive and entertain me or suffer the consequences of your inability to react to your new world," Said The Creator to endless space
Boom!! Resounded as The Creator left the area of space for a new quest.
