"Boom!!!!" A majestic tornado of thunderclouds gathered in the sky, shrouding the entire town in darkness. Winds howled, and bolts of lightning surged like serpents, signaling the approach of a catastrophic event.
In a chaotic laboratory, Thor stood face-to-face with a ferocious Iron-blooded alien. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth, and dark bone spurs had pierced his chest, staining his clothes a deep crimson. Behind him, Jane Foster stood in shock, covering her mouth in despair. Dr. Erik Selvig lay lifeless on the ground, his heart pierced, while Darcy Lewis, covered in blood, looked on in horror at the three vampire aliens that surrounded her.
During the day, the aliens had hidden in the rooms scattered around the town, specifically choosing the astronomy laboratory—Jane Foster's experimental workspace—as their refuge.
"Rumble!!!" The sky exploded with thunder, and a massive bolt of lightning suddenly struck Thor.
"Bang!" The energy erupted from Thor's body, sending the surrounding aliens flying away.
"Zzzz..."
"Thor!" Jane cried out, worriedly watching as Thor was enveloped in thunder. The vampire aliens sensed the change in Thor, and they growled uneasily, shifting their positions.
As the white light from the lightning dissipated, Jane's eyes widened in astonishment. "Oh my god, everything he said is true. He really is a god!"
Thor now stood, surrounded by lightning, his red cape flowing in the wind. A suit of silver-scaled armor had materialized around him.
"Buzz!" A silver phantom burst through the wall and flew into Thor's hand—his hammer, Mjolnir. With Mjolnir in hand, Thor's aura reached its peak, as if the God of Thunder had descended upon the world.
"Roar~~~" Sensing the immense power Thor now wielded, the vampire aliens screeched in fear and began to flee in all directions.
"You won't escape!" Thor shouted, feeling the divine power surging through him. Understanding his father's wisdom, he knew his purpose.
With a swift motion, Thor hurled Mjolnir.
"Boom!"
"Bang, bang, bang!!!" The hammer whizzed through the air, striking the fleeing aliens with deadly precision, knocking them down. But, as Mjolnir returned to Thor's hand, the vampire aliens began to regenerate, their injuries healing almost instantly.
Thor smirked, knowing his attack was merely a diversion.
"Boom!" Thor leaped into the air, bringing Mjolnir down on one alien with all his might. The impact shattered the creature's dark, slender bones.
"Bang!" The alien, now reduced to a broken heap, was kicked out of the laboratory and into the sunlight.
"Roar~~~" The alien shrieked in agony as its body was seared by the sun's rays. Within seconds, it disintegrated into black smoke and vanished.
Thor, gripping Mjolnir tightly, turned his sharp gaze toward the remaining aliens.
"Roar!!!" The remaining three aliens cowered in the shadows, roaring defiantly, but too afraid to step into the sunlight.
"Bang, bang, bang!" Thor swung his hammer upwards, delivering a crushing blow to the chin of one vampire alien.
"Crack!" The sound of bones breaking echoed through the room as the alien's jaw twisted grotesquely. It was sent flying through the ceiling and into the daylight. Before it could fall back, the sunlight scorched it, turning it into black smoke that drifted away into the air.
The two remaining aliens, already burned by the sunlight pouring through the damaged roof, recoiled into the shadows. But Thor wouldn't let them go. With one swift motion, he grabbed the head of an alien with his bare hand.
"Crack!" The creature's skull shattered under Thor's immense strength, and he hurled it into the sunlight. The alien followed the fate of the others, disintegrating into smoke.
Thor, now standing victorious, glared at the last alien, who shrunk back, trying to avoid its inevitable doom.
The entire town was in chaos. Coulson and the other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents took cover behind a vehicle, their eyes fixed on the street, where a towering silver metal figure was chasing four people dressed like Central European warriors from the medieval period.
"Who are these people? What play are they from?" Coulson muttered, perplexed by the strange attire of Sif and her companions.
Suddenly, the armor of the towering figure, known as the Destroyer, glowed like an oven, and in an instant, a blazing atomic beam erupted from its face. The bearded warrior, Volstagg, who was holding a shield, was blasted several meters away, crashing heavily onto a car. However, to the surprise of Coulson and his team, Volstagg quickly struggled to his feet. For an ordinary human, such a hit would have caused fatal internal injuries.
"Volstagg, are you okay?" Sif asked anxiously, supporting him with her spear.
"I'm fine, but we can't waste time fighting this thing here. We need to find Thor as soon as possible," Volstagg replied, covering his chest. Despite his shield buffering some of the blow, he was still hurt. The group had secretly descended to Midgard via the Rainbow Bridge to find Thor and expose Loki's conspiracy, but they hadn't expected Loki to send the Destroyer to hunt them down.
"Watch out!" Fandral, wielding his long sword, shouted as the Destroyer's face glowed again. Another atomic beam shot out, heading straight for Sif and Volstagg.
With Volstagg still injured, he couldn't dodge in time. Gritting her teeth, Sif discarded her spear and crossed her arms in front of her to block the attack. Hogan and the others looked on in horror.
"Sif!!!" they shouted.
Just as Sif and Volstagg were about to be overwhelmed by the energy beam, a long sword suddenly whooshed through the air. The thick mechanical sword sliced through the beam, cutting it in two and sending the halves flying past Sif and Volstagg.
"Boom!!" Explosions erupted on both sides of them. Miraculously, the expected pain never came. Sif opened her eyes slowly and saw the silver mechanical sword embedded in the ground in front of her, splitting the beam in half. She glanced around, confused.
Before she could speak, a black and white figure descended from the air next to the sword.
"Thank you! Who are you?" Sif asked the armored figure, breathing a sigh of relief.
"Merlin. We'll talk later!" Merlin, clad in black and white armor, responded quickly. As he spoke, another atomic beam shot out from the Destroyer's oven-like core. Merlin raised his hand, and the sword flew back to him, splitting into three separate blades. Using electromagnetic force, he formed a stance barrier, attempting to hold off the energy beam.
However, the cold fusion energy powering his suit dropped by ten percent as the Destroyer continued to pour atomic energy into the beam. The energy quickly exceeded the barrier's capacity, and it shattered under the pressure, forcing the swords back.
"Bang!" The three blades were sent flying, but Merlin managed to catch them as he stumbled back a few steps, struggling to maintain his balance. He grimaced, thankful the swords were made of adamantium, or the situation might have been much worse.
"Hiss..." The engines on Merlin's back roared to life, jets firing as he tried to resist the force of the atomic energy beam. But his arm armor began to groan under the stress.
Realizing he couldn't hold on much longer, Merlin shifted his stance, allowing the splashing beams of energy to refract off to the sides. Using the opening, he dashed forward, catching the three blades in his hands, and charged toward the towering Destroyer.
The Destroyer responded by swatting away the first sword thrust and raising its other arm to punch Merlin.
The soles of Merlin's armor ignited, ejecting energy. Using the powerful thrust, he flipped through the air, passing over the Destroyer's head and landing behind it. As he moved, his long sword sliced across the top of the Destroyer's head, leaving a trail of sparks and a deep mark on its silver metal surface.
The Destroyer spun around and swung a punch, but Merlin had already moved back more than ten meters, evading the attack.
"Alright, now we're getting somewhere," Merlin muttered, tilting his head slightly. His mechanical sword floated above him, humming with energy. The cold nuclear fusion reactor in his armor began working overtime, amplifying the power output. Energy drained rapidly, visible as the suit's power levels dropped. Violent electromagnetic energy gathered around the sword, causing the air around it to crackle.
Merlin prepared for his next move, eyes locked on the Destroyer, as the electromagnetic charge intensified on the blade.
