The doorbell rang, Maria was just finished getting "ready," so she yelled out that she would get it and so Lucan could continue cooking. Maria finished pulling her hair up into a ponytail before she opened the door.
Sarina showed up to the house with a few bottles of chilled wine, Maria greeted her with a smile and a hug.
"It's one of my favorites," Sarina said. "It doesn't taste like alcohol or fermented grapes, so it's more like white grape juice. It's still pretty strong, but you can't taste it."
Lucan had been busy all day, getting ready for the evening's meal for the three of them. He had already mixed a homemade salad, marinated chicken breasts, and prepped some veggies. The veggies were already grilled, and the chicken was almost finished. While Sarina and Maria watched Lucan grill from the kitchen, they talked.
They decided to play some games.
