The air was thick with the scent of flowers and the rustling of unseen creatures in the dense undergrowth. The Verdant Labyrinth stood before them, an endless expanse of towering trees, twisting vines, and flowering plants that seemed to hum with life. Aurelia had dropped them off at the entrance, telling them to have fun while she went off to "gather some personal supplies" or whatever she called it.
"Alright, everyone!" Aurelia had shouted, waving as she marched off. "This is it! The great Verdant Labyrinth! Be careful, don't eat anything weird, and don't trust any talking trees! I'll meet you on the other side—whenever that is."
And with that, she vanished into the wilderness, leaving Maris, Lucan, Virnda, Nyx, and Bing standing at the entrance, staring at the thick, leafy expanse in front of them.
"I'm not even sure I want to go in there…" Bing muttered, glancing nervously at the dense foliage. "Are there, uh… snacks in there? I hope there's food."
