Chereads / The Dauntless Son-in-Law Herculean Knight: Ethan Knight / Chapter 150 - Hold It Against The Carrols

Chapter 150 - Hold It Against The Carrols

Bobby walked up with a frown on his face. He had already learned about what had occurred while on his way here. As soon as he came, he noticed Brendan placing a white napkin on his wounded head. He then looked at the composed Ethan, seated in a chair and drinking tea leisurely. A man with a calm demeanor.

Bobby narrowed his eyes at the two persons before him, especially the unhurt Ethan. He added, "It's my son's baby shower today, and I believe all the guests are here to wish him well and join us in this celebration. The Carrolls have previously told you all that no matter what feuds you have with one another, you must lay them aside and avoid causing problems on our turf! Even if you need to resolve it, you must wait till you have left."

"This is our place!" He glared.

Bobby glared at Ethan and asked, "Don't you understand? Is that hard to comprehend, or must I spell it out for you?"

Bobby, the Carrolls' next successor, was immensely arrogant. By saying these remarks, he seemed to have already given no civility to anyone, including Ethan.

Ethan glanced up at Bobby in front of him. He sighed slightly and inquired calmly, the "Is Alan Carroll your younger brother?"

Bobby raised his eyebrows and responded matter-of-factly, "Of course. Anyone who knows him understands that he is my younger brother. If you want to tell me you're Alan's friend, you can. He has shady friends throughout the county. Even if you know him, you are just one of them."

Hearing this, Ethan flashed a deadly smirk at Bobby. Finally, the person he is looking for has come.

Ethan said softly, "Since you've acknowledged that he's your younger brother, that makes things easier."

Bobby immediately frowned. "What do you mean by that?"

Ethan sat comfortably in his chair and remarked, "The Carrolls owe me an explanation. "I'll get it from you."

All of the guests that heard this exclaimed in surprise!

Bobby blinked and snorted as if he'd just heard the best joke ever. What a proud scumbag.

Only then did he realize that Ethan was not asking him about Alan's relationship with him to demonstrate that he knew Alan but rather to seek an explanation.

He suspected that Alan had provoked Ethan for some reason, and Ethan had come to demand an explanation.

He thought that was completely crazy! Was this guy doesn't know me, Carroll?

The Carrolls were one of Emerald Coast County's four great families, and Alan, his younger brother, had been spoiled from a young age. He frequently made trouble and bullied people. However, due to the Carrolls' family prestige, individuals who were bullied were afraid to criticize or stand up to them. Of course, they paid hefty sums of money to those they needed to shut the mouth.

Few people were as brave as Ethan, who went immediately to their house and demanded an explanation.

Bobby laughed and shook his head. "No matter what kind of feud you have with my brother, you're not fit to ask us for an explanation. You can go back other time and settled this."

At this point, the folks around them began talking amongst themselves, believing Ethan was overestimating himself by being arrogant. They assumed he was just a powerless live-in son-in-law who was inviting death by causing a commotion at the Carrolls'!

Ethan raised his head, looked at Bobby calmly, and said, "Is that so?"

When he finished speaking, he jumped up abruptly, extended his hand, and grabbed Bobby's hair with one hand!

Before Bobby could respond, his face was forced into a big white porcelain dish filled with sea cucumber soup. His head was immediately submerged in the boiling hot soup.

"Argh!" Bobby was so astonished that he opened his lips and inadvertently poured several mouthfuls of thick broth into his mouth and nostrils, causing him to choke and cough severely. He struggled frantically, flailing his arms and knocking numerous plates and bowls off the table, causing them to tumble and break.

"How dare you!" Hurry and let go of Mr. Carroll!" The guards had tried to help Bobby.

After Bobby choked and coughed numerous times, the Carrolls who were around them recovered from their shock and responded to what was going on. They yelled at Ethan and grabbed out to try to stop him so they could rescue Bobby, whose head was crushed into the bowl of soup.

If this continued, Bobby would undoubtedly become the first member of a wealthy family in Emerald Coast County to drown in a bowl of boiling soup!

Fortunately, Ethan does not want to murder Bobby directly, so he drags his head out of the soup using his hair. He then shoved him toward the Carrolls, who jumped over.

"Mr. Carroll!"

"Mr. Carroll, are you alright?"

"Mr. Carroll, are you OK?"

The Carrolls rushed to catch Bobby and urgently grabbed clean napkins to wipe his soup-soaked head and face covered in veggies. Everyone stopped paying attention to Ethan.

Ethan sat down in his seat again, smiling, and asked, "Now, do I have the right to hold it against the Carrolls?"

Everyone else was astounded as they observed what transpired. They were in complete amazement and surprise, thinking Ethan was exceedingly brave to force Bobby's head into the bowl of soup in front of so many people at the Carrolls' banquet! What a fearless human being he is!

Meanwhile, standing close to Ethan, Ferry inhaled sharply! This is what Ethan had said a few moments ago!

Although he had suspected Ethan had a nefarious motive for attending the baby shower, he never expected Ethan to be so ruthless as to do such a thing to Bobby! He was dumbfounded.

This amounted to openly disagreeing with the Carrolls and disparaging Bobby and his family.

Bobby had already washed the soup from his face and head with the help of his family members.

However, his hair remained greasy, burn marks appeared on his scalded cheeks, and the soup had soiled his pricey tailored suit. He appeared disheveled.

Bobby opened his bloodshot eyes and looked at Ethan, angry and frightened. "No one has ever dared to treat me this way! Remember this day and the day you were born to be against the Carrolls! I'll kill you!"

Bobby had grown up as the focus of attention and flattery, and he was frequently lauded and revered, whether in Emerald Coast County or elsewhere. He had a bright future now that he was named the Carroll family's next heir. Nonetheless, he got his head shoved into a cup of soup by nobody. By nobody!

He was determined to assassinate Ethan, who he regarded as useless! He doesn't know the complete background of this guy in front of him but he doesn't care!

The few Carrolls and bodyguards around him rushed forward and engulfed Ethan.

Amid Bobby's unrestrained wrath, the surrounding individuals remained hushed, lowering their heads and refusing to make a single sound for fear of inciting Bobby and becoming entangled. They made no movement.

However, Ethan, who was directly confronted with Bobby's rage, was unfazed. In reality, he smiled contemptuously.

Amidst the stress, an older man with relatively white hair rushed over and muttered a few words into Bobby's ear.

Bobby frowned and quickly scowled at Ethan, saying, "I'll spare you for now. "You will get it from me later!"

Then Bobby directed the other Carrolls to turn around and go! There is a right time for this.

Brendan did, however, have a big cut on his head, and blood was streaming down his face. It would be an ugly and terrifying sight if he stayed at the baby shower banquet. It was understandable that the Carrolls wanted them to depart. The Reeds are no longer welcomed to the banquet.
