Chapter 105 - Mom, That’s Enough!

With a disappointed expression, Charlotte stared at Claudia, who sheltered behind Anastasia and Sophia.

"Anastasia, Ethan and I discovered today what kind of person my mother is." "I'm very disappointed."

Anastasia frowned and stared at Charlotte, puzzled.

Nero abruptly pushed Patricia and yelled, "Hurry up and apologize to his mother-in-law."

Patricia Fabian's nose was swollen, her hair was messy, and blood was around the corners of her mouth. She appeared unhappy. She's a mess to begin with.

Anastasia was perplexed, while Claudia was surprised and puzzled. Patricia pulled off the superior-grade bracelet and returned it to Claudia. "I apologize. I was at fault just now, and I struggled because I liked your jewelry. I apologize. I will return the bracelet to you. I hope you can forgive me. And I won't do it again in the future either."

Claudia glanced at the scene in front of her in surprise, almost as if she was dreaming. Is the esteemed and noble wife of Nero Wilcon apologizing to me and even returning the bracelet?

Claudia blinked several times, staring at Patricia and the bracelet before her, unable to comprehend the scenario.

Anastasia was stunned, and her expression became sad.

She was intelligent and had just now noticed something amiss with her mother's expression. She reasoned that something must have happened, and the appearance of the two strangers only confirmed her suspicions.

Charlotte's remarks had also captured her attention.

Claudia came out of her daze, snatched her bracelet from Patricia's hand, and reattached it to her wrist just as Anastasia was about to inquire.

Patricia, the overweight woman, had bent and apologized to her, even though she had no idea what had happened!

Claudia wanted to scoff but kept her mouth quiet when considering Patricia Fabian and Nero Wilcon's identities.

"Okay, it's over now. You two should get going. I don't want to see your face." Ethan observed indifferently to Wilcon and Patricia after Patricia returned the bracelet.

Wilcon was thrilled to learn that Ethan had opted not to pursue the matter further, and he quickly thanked Ethan before taking Patricia away. "Thank you,Mr. Knight"

When they left the hotel, Patricia covered her face with a furious grimace and barked, "I must kill those bitches!"

Smack!

Wilcon quickly slapped Patricia again!

The loud slap completely stunned her.

"Hubby, why did you hit me?" Patricia was displeased.

Wilcon gazed at her with a scary and malicious look in his eyes. "Have you been hit? I wish I could murder you! Bitch, you are a wastrel. You spend the entire day causing me grief! "I would have kicked you out if you weren't my child's mother! Listen up! This is the last time I will tolerate anything like this! If I discover that you've caused trouble again and triggered another big shot, I'll kill you! You hear that?"

Patricia shuddered in fear at Wilcon's terrible threat.

She assumed he was merely performing before Ethan and would respond accordingly.

But, to her amazement, Wilcon saw Ethan as a big shot he couldn't afford to provoke and must avoid!

"Alright, Hubby." I know I was mistaken! Patricia hurriedly pledged, "From now on, I'll be obedient and not cause any trouble for you!" She was not an idiot either. Otherwise, she would not have married Wilcon.

She didn't comprehend, though. In her eyes, Ethan was an unskilled man who would never be able to defeat a group of men on his own, even if he was skilled in martial arts. She couldn't comprehend Wilcon's fear of him—something she missed in the process.

Wilcon stared at Patricia after she asked the question. "Are you a fool?" Why would I be concerned if he was simply adept at kicking hard? Couldn't you tell? He held back today and the previous day at kindergarten. Maybe because of the presence of his family, that's why he held back. "How can we afford to provoke such a terrifying person? He could easily kill us if he wanted to!" Anyway, I have previously warned you. If you have a dying desire, please do not implicate me." Wilcon warned Patricia with a sinister expression.

His heart froze when he thought about how powerful Ethan's kick was and how easily he executed it.

Wilcon was also concerned about something else, which he did not tell Patricia.

Wilcon and his underlings suffered a significant loss under Ethan and Dylan at kindergarten and failed to retaliate against Ethan in Spark Enterprises the next day. Wilcon had dispatched some personnel to explore Ethan's past.

He was only able to find a small amount of information. He only found out that Ethan was a recent graduate who had worked as a chauffeur for Spark Enterprises before marrying Anastasia. His history was ordinary, except that he had been absent for six years. However, little was known about his activities during that period.

Ethan has changed dramatically over the last six years—something he doesn't understand for the time being.

For example, he possessed scary martial arts abilities that even Wilcon was terrified of.

This indicated that Ethan needed to be more straightforward than he appeared on the surface!

After Wilcon and Patricia left, the private room had a strange atmosphere. Everyone has something in their mind.

They were no longer in the mood to eat. After settling the bill, Ethan drove them back to Reed's home.

The tone was dismal throughout.

Sophia had just finished a heavy supper and was feeling drowsy, so she leaned against Anastasia and fell asleep.

Charlotte hung her head low, thoughtfully pondering something.

Claudia leaned backward, phone in hand, and appeared to be texting someone. She would occasionally burst out laughing and utter things like 'fat woman' and 'apologize.

Anastasia grimaced, but she refrained from asking any questions. She doesn't have the full detail of what transpired but she is not a fool to understand the heavy feeling her sister had.

When they returned home, Ethan carried the fast-asleep. Sophia returned upstairs as Anastasia asked Claudia, "Mom, tell me the truth." What happened in the restaurant? Why did Nero Wilcon and his wife visit our room to return your bracelet and apologize to you?

Claudia replied carelessly, "Well, that woman wanted my bracelet. But her husband taught her a lesson, and she returned it to me! That's all I can say."

Anastasia did not believe it. "When they arrived, you stated that it was Ethan's responsibility and asked them to hold him accountable. "What happened?"

Claudia asked in disgust, "What do you want to ask? Your lousy spouse made trouble by striking the woman!

Then that woman contacted her husband, and he almost got me in trouble. We would have died if Mr. Wilcon had not been so generous."

"Mom, that's enough!" After hearing her mother's gibberish, Charlotte couldn't help but lose her temper. She cannot tolerate her own mother's defective reasoning! What happened today enlighten her from what kind of person her mother is.
