Chereads / The Dauntless Son-in-Law Herculean Knight: Ethan Knight / Chapter 59 - The Two People Who Came Yesterday, Have Returned!

Chapter 59 - The Two People Who Came Yesterday, Have Returned!

Ethan realized right once that this was not an accident but instead that someone had purposefully attempted to smash into them to kill them! This is an attempted murder in disguise!

Given the Pajero's size and speed, they would have been pushed to the edge of the bridge or toppled over and thrown into the river below if Ethan hadn't moved fast and maneuvered!

Even if he were alone, he could avoid the danger. However, there were two vulnerable girls in the car!

They were also the two individuals he adored most!

They were his vulnerability, and no one was supposed to touch them!

A figure dived discreetly into the river beneath the bridge and swam to the Pajero, slowly sinking into the water. He then punched the window, breaking it and pulling the driver out.

After swimming hundreds of meters into shallow waters, the figure hauled the driver, who was going to drown and suffocate, to the shore.

Dylan was Ethan's right-hand man!

Dylan trod on the driver's stomach after turning his face up. Immediately after, a massive volume of river water combined with dirt and sand poured from the driver's lips and nostrils.

The driver awoke and coughed forcefully, expelling the water in his stomach.

After the driver was nearly finished, Dylan stepped firmly on his stomach and asked, "Speak. "Who put you to it?"

The motorist recently had a near-death encounter. His face became even paler as he peered at Dylan, who towered above him. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"You still don't want to come clean, huh?" Dylan quickly grabbed the driver's collar and forced his head against the water. "If you don't say anything, you can stay inside!"

As the icy-cold river water got closer to him, the driver, who had just drowned, screamed in terror and began struggling.

On the other hand, Dylan was squeezing his hand hard against the driver's neck, making it impossible for him to struggle. When the driver realized his head was about to be forced into the water again, he stopped caring about anything else. He broke down and began yelling loudly. "Ah! I will speak up! Please, spare my life..." The driver, teary-eyed, begged for mercy.

Dylan lifted his head slightly with one hand and said, "Speak!"

"It was Mr. Voss. Alaric Voss was the one who told me to hit the car!"

 --

Ethan sent Anastasia and Sophia home and watched as they entered the house, but he did not stay behind.

"Ethan." Just as Ethan was ready to drive away, Anastasia shouted to stop him.

"Do you have something to do now?" Anastasia questioned hesitantly.

Ethan nodded. "Yes, I have some trivial matters to handle."

"You were the one who did those things to the Reeds recently, right?" Anastasia inquired; her jaw pinched.

Ethan had no intention of hiding it from Anastasia after she had asked. He nodded. "Yes, but they deserve it."

Anastasia paused momentarily before asking, "Can you let them off? "They must have learned their lesson from what happened recently."

Anastasia was not a saint; she had grown up with the Reeds, and those folks were once her kin. She cared about their kinship and did not want to push things too far.

Ethan gave Anastasia a warm smile and nod. "Okay."

Dylan called while Ethan was driving around halfway through his route. "Ethan, the culprit is that bastard Alaric Voss!"

"Hmph, as expected!" Ethan snorted coldly. He sped up to the Pegasus like a lunatic. Alaric Voss still seems to need to learn his lesson!

Ethan was unconcerned by Voss's status as a member of a first-tier family with significant gang power in Emerald Coast County.

Anyone who attempted to damage the two people he cared most about and put them at risk deserved to die!

Voss sat in the Pegasus with a threatening face.

What happened last night made him quite uncomfortable and caused him significant pain, particularly in his private area. He couldn't sit comfortably without being in anguish.

"Mr. Voss, the bastard must be dead by now. Even if he didn't die in the crash, he most likely drowned. Our staff also purposefully placed obstructions on the route so rescue vehicles could not arrive in time," alleged an underling.

"Hah! It was too simple for him! I heard his lovely wife, Anastasia Reed, was also in the car. It's a shame she died with him. Otherwise, I'd like to play with Emerald Coast County's former finest beauty!" Voss chuckled as he puffed out a mouthful of cigars.

"Haha, Mr. Voss, you can have whatever kind of woman you want. The one from yesterday is Anastasia's sister. She's also quite attractive. If you like, I'll grab her right away!" A handful of his subordinates were hastily attempting to curry favor with him.

"Haha! Good! That jerk fouled things up for me yesterday, earning my fury! I need to get that woman over here again to complain! Let's see who tries to get in my path again!"

Voss began laughing uncontrollably as everyone around him encouraged him.

Before this point, the black Jaguar stopped before the Pegasus' door.

Ethan climbed out of the car, and Dylan, waiting at the side, met him immediately. "Ethan, tell me what to do!"

Pegasus glanced up at the opulent Pegasus clubhouse with ice-cold eyes. "Smash it!"

When Dylan received the order, he charged forward without hesitation and smashed the exquisite door and the stone monument with the name 'Pegasus' etched on it!

The flying stone debris smacked into the massive tempered glass door with a loud thud, scattering glass shards all over the floor.

The abrupt noise terrified several club members, who began screaming.

Several security personnel and henchmen instantly approached. "Who are you people?" "How dare you cause trouble at the club?!"

"Get lost!"

All they got in response was a sequence of noises of things breaking.

Dylan broke a stool leg with his hand and smashed everything in sight.

He destroyed the opulent bar countertop!

He destroyed the wine cabinet full of famous and expensive alcohol!

He shattered the sparkling chandelier!

He smashed the tables, windows, chairs, and other furnishings!

Everyone in the club scurried out, yelling.

"Damn it!" These two are here to make mischief! Simply beat them to death!" A henchman as large as a tower suddenly yelled. More than ten of his subordinates hurried over from various directions.

Ethan snorted coldly. Alaric Voss's twenty-odd henchman broke their wrists yesterday and will undoubtedly be unable to work today. He most likely hired these backup goons from somewhere. They genuinely don't know better.

Dylan charged forward and moved through the crowd like a phantom. Ten people's wrists were snapped in little than a moment, precisely like those yesterday!

One of the henchmen rushed into Voss's private room and yelled, "Bad news, Mr. Voss! The two people who came here yesterday have returned!"
