You know, being an Adventurer from another world really sucks, right?
Let me tell you another story, a while ago, an archer class like me happens to take a battle event quest in the Vera Kingdom. I didn't expect that place could hold ten day nonstop festival where everyone is very joyful to celebrate.
It wasn't strange, in fact, the rewards in this quest is quite amazing. As a matter of that, I enjoy their foods and games that I wanted to spend time and enjoy this place... If only there were no Hallow Monsters outside.
Speaking of that, Adventurers have red eyes to trigger the system's call, making us alert or informed some news behind this kingdom. It appears that this battle event can also double rewards like participating free foods and banquets in the guild.
"And most of their treats are free?! I like it!"
So, I changed my disguised into a dwarf Adventurer form and sneaked inside, getting all the lovely treats alone. The food and drinks are really great, I don't need to spend money on buying night's dinner worth for two days.

Everything was doing great. The Adventurers enjoy their banquet, they smile, they laugh, they sing funny songs and drink alcohols. Observing their joyful habit is relaxing until-
"Rosall, you need to leave! Leave this Guild NOW!" A voice called deep in my head.
It was an urgent tone that felt like important message. I couldn't ignore it since that voice kept repeating itself. So, I picked the leftovers, putting in my Inventory system and left the Guild quietly. Just as I start heading out, there was an ominous presence nearby but I couldn't watch over when I heard some townsfolk who are talking about the parades happening in town.
Funny, there was another event in this Joyful kingdom? Very impressive. Since I left the guild, the voice calling from my mind hasn't spoken back. Oh well, might as well head out to the parade and see what's in there.
Just as I went to the town's square, I noticed there was an orange light over there. It was like a fire spreading around the town. I checked it out and find out more people are going in opposite direction.
And maybe if I wasn't a curiosity cat, I wouldn't find out about this. In my eyes, I just saw the parade they mention, was not about a joyful festivity activities they do, it's a whole chaotic mess the town being dangered.
Some fire spreading on town's building and the castle's balcony, the Expedition gang holding their spears and attacking the Royal guards. Worse of all, I saw some black Hallow Monsters trying to attack nearby townsfolks and weakling Nadventurers.
"Just how in the world did those Hallow Monsters invade inside this kingdom? Did the Quest failed? "
The Adventurer system never mentioned about this event being failed to their quest. I was there and happened to see high rank adventurers being those monsters but now, what's going on?! I saw an innocent person getting slashed by Hallow monster and turned into one.
This could make sense, what happened if those innocent bystanders who accidentally got involved in the battle event were attacked and turned into those monsters. Maybe this was their reason for this chaotic mess.
Knowing the Vera Kingdom in danger, a voice calls out from her head once again, "Rosall, you need to help them! The people are terrified! Please!"
So the voice wants me to be the hero, huh? I'm sorry to say but-
I turned around and ran away from the chaotic square. I don't want to deal with the trouble I'm not supposed to protect with. This is not my hometown in the first place. Why should I risk my life to protect random people? I know my ideals is not good but this is my survival for goodness sake!
Just as I passed over the safety area, I heard someone approaching in the Adventurer's guild. I took a peek and saw a familiar face, who rose his head and watch that building. It was a man with a big hat, wearing noble clothes. I remembered he was one of the rivals I fought against in that merchant's mini shooting games four hours ago. What is he doing?
The moment the hat guy rose his hand and snapped his finger, the Adventurer's guild suddenly lighten up until they got blown up by explosives inside. I was horrified to see a certain building with so many Adventurers holding a celebration banquet inside were getting blown up.
The buildings nearby got destroyed, there was no one who could survive from that explosion when they happen to involve inside. The fact I was so lucky to listen to the voice calling and went outside the guild got the bonus treatment but still, I'm sorry to witness a tragedy of those poor Adventurers getting destroyed one minute in their good times.
I knew the fact that one explosion could leave a burning mess around the town but I couldn't believe the man in front, is still survive and watch the whole impact. Just what is going on again?! I had so many questions like-
What happened to this place that turned into chaos?!
Why is the Adventurer's Guild getting blown up?
Why did that man killed those Adventurers?!
Why is the Vera Kingdom on fire?
What's going to happen to me now that the Noble man suddenly notice my presence?

= The Midnight Realm =
* NO POV *
The people gather around under the beautiful sunset, watching the royal guards giving space on the street. Crossing the festival booths, the Expedition team marched forward to the center square in front of the Royal castle.
Everyone got their eyes on the knights coming on their way, some received their greetings while others focused on getting to their position. Once the Expedition group of royal knights and important people stopped at the center, a certain man with a crown and royal robe appeared out of the royal castle.
The Vera people called him, the King Vera, their majesty. He showed up in the balcony and the people bowed down as their ways to greet the royals. The outsiders and Adventurers followed as well, not getting left out and receiving cold eyes from the townsfolk.
Once the King nods back, raising his hand to allow them to stand up, he turns his eyes on the Expedition group below and congratulates them.
The gathering crowd cheered and clapped the Expeditions for their achievements. The plaza square has also turned into joyful festivities that everyone agrees to call for celebration.
The Silver Knight joins the clap and chuckles a bit but not long after, everyone noticed he started to smirk and whisper with silent words. The Silver man stepped in front, getting closer to the castle where the King watched them and then, he raised his hand and pointed his finger at the royal man.
The King thought his Silver Knight was acting weird all of a sudden. Once he saw the knight eyeing at him, their behavior came to realize but it was too late. The Silver Knight smirked and shouted, "Gotcha!"
Before the King stepped back, an invisible bullet with strong force aimed at his forehead and shot him successfully.
"Hyper Shot."
The Silver Knight thought his "Hyper shot" skill is working well as he and everyone watches the King get hit by something unbelievable. The people nearby tried to get to the King and marched inside the Royal Castle. The townsfolk got confused while the royal guards went to the Silver Knight and surrounded the Expedition team.
"My fellow guards, why thou you point your lance at me?" The Silver Knight rose hus hands and said in a sly tone. "Drop your weapons, I'm not your enemy."
"Enemy you say?! You killed the King, bastard! What have you done?!" One of the royal guards said, demanding an answer. They were so furious to see this inspired knight becoming suspicious and a traitor to the nobles.
"What have I done, you say?" The Silver Knight smirked back along with his expedition team. "To save us from the Invasion."
Then, his team gathered in a circle and stomped their lance weapon, staring at their leader. The Suspicious Silver Knight summons a magic circle on the ground and raises his hand, pointing at the center of the invisible barrier.
"Midnight Realm."
As he snapped his finger, a dark shooting light came out of his hand and went to the top. Everyone would think it's a black firework but the black beam suddenly splits up and creates a huge barrier that covers the sky. It turns from blue to crimson sky with black clouds as the sunset loses its colour, making this kingdom look like the end of the world.
The moment the crimson sky was formed, everyone panicked and tried to run away in fear. Out of nowhere, the ground suddenly shapeshifts from black pool to a Hallow monster form as if they teleported inside the square. The people who got encountered by those monsters got easily slashed and fell down. Some warriors like Royal guards, Nadventurers and Adventurers were trying to defend those people but the Hallow monsters were multiplied.
On the other side, three buildings have suddenly blown up, forcing people to turn back and find a place to evacuate. The Silver Knight watches the chaos unfold inside the Kingdom, thinking their festivity days and night will come to an end.
Meanwhile, the two Nadventurers ran as far away as possible. At the back alley where they encounter some bandits and escape from them, Joxley gripped Wings hands ans panted while trying to lead them the right way out. The purple Nadventurer rose his left ear and heard something unpleasant.
Once they reached the plaza square, the boys found out about the fires going out on buildings and roofs, Hallow monsters spreading and attacking people and the Expedition group of people fighting against the royal guards. In their eyes, a burning fire breaks the peaceful kingdom. Wings's right ear from his covered hair twitched as he heard a sharp blade coming towards them.
Wings picks his Blue Tues dagger and parries against the Invisible Lance behind Joxley's back. He glared at the guy, who clicked his tongue after knowing he missed. "How dare you interrupt our plan, Mongrel!"
Wings spins with his dagger and steps back, grabbing Joxley for safety. Before they confront each other, a nearby house suddenly explodes and debris falls under their battle. A certain Nadventurer beside the assassin guy saw the commotion and pointed his blade at them.
"Hallow Knights! Get those Brats!" The monsters followed his order as they charged at the young Nadventurers.
"Joxley, we need to get out of here!" Wings held Joxley's hand and turned back.
"But-" The Claymore wielder hesitates until he sees more Hallow Monsters coming towards them, blocking the Plaza square.
"Let's go!" Wings forced Joxley to turn back and follow him. When they're at the Back alley, Joxley runs in front, guiding Wings a safest way to escape from the enemy.
He stopped near the dead end walla and tried to press those blocky bricks and then, one of the walls started to crumble and separate itself. Wings was surprised to see Joxley unlock a secret passage through the walls. They escape to the secret door ways where the young boy only knows the passage ways.
Wings took one last look behind using his sharp eyes and he saw the mysterious knight in rage, raising his sword to command the Expeditions and Hallow monsters to chase them. The Silver Knight attempted to hit them with his dark magic but his prey closed the walls and they were already out of the plaza.
There's no way his magic could reach them. The Silver Knight sighed back in defeat, looking back to see the town on fire and surrounded by his Hallow monsters.
After he was alone, the knight called out his power and a dark magic surrounded his body, changing his appearance from a righteous knight to a new form with a demonic presence.
A Dark knight with one horn on the right head, black cape to cover his back and his clothes belong to the Demon faction. His enchanted sword glows darker to charge things up for the battle but he doesn't seem to worry who's the strongest foe since his plans for invading this kingdom is working well.

The Dark Knight was once a friend of the Silver Knight, a member of the royal guard and a Vera Citizen. He was a good man with a strong sense of justice and a close friend of the Silver Knight, Salus.
They treat each other as fellow brothers, comrade in hands and warrior candidates to earn the Vera blessing powers. However, those who obsess more powers can lead to the wrong path.
Before he became corrupted, Zamox the Bronze Knight has a secret obsession of punishing evil acts and torturing those who don't follow the rules. Being a knight with too much sense of justice, he violated the chivalry code and fought enemies brutally. Seeing his wicked ways of dealing prisoners and even innocent bystanders by using violence cannot stand by. So, the royal people removed his knight class and cast him out of the kingdom, vanishing him forever.
Zamox was upset about the royal's decision but he was going along with it instead of getting executed. His best friend, Salus did his best for his forgiveness but he was out of power. The only thing he could help his castaway friend was giving him shelter at a place on the far left called Frolia Kingdom.
Ten days after staying in that kingdom, his new life to becoming a citizen is too boring for him. Those days won't last long as he suddenly finds a meteor shower, destroying walls, borders and someone attempting to trespass.
They call it the "Grimms". Seeing them going rampage on the Frolia Kingdom, burning buildings and killing people is something a villain would do. As a former knight, watching them will make him a coward, he tries to stand up and fight like never before but, in one blink, the invasion was a villain's win.
The Grimms find Zamox as the last prey and they attempt to kill him but the mortal knight gives up and begs them to be spared in exchange of telling the secret treasure in the next kingdom. They thought he was lying to save himself but their leader stopped them out of nowhere, giving him a choice to join the Grimms or getting killed.
Zamox chose the survival option and joined the Grimms immediately without hesitation. Once he shook their leader's hand, Zamox eyes can finally see the true form of them, all of them are True Demons with horns and sharp predator eyes, desiring for the suffering of others lives. Their leader, Beyonce, gave him fifty percent demonic power that corrupted and changed his form.
Zamox did everything in his mental energy to stay himself, thinking he's the victim and lies a lot. Thanks to that, he was able to master those powers but lost happy memories and compassion. The price for controlling Dark powers changed him as if he had the grudge to his hometown Vera Kingdom and an obsession to follow the Grimms.
As a former Knight, he still remembers those chivalry skills and he understands that he's still weaker than Silver Knight. So, Beyonce borrowed Dark Magic and merged their spells to his swordsman skills to evolve his status. He can also summon Hallow Monsters, increasing his status and unlocking new skills to change forms and illusions.
The Former knight using Dark Magics by dealing with the Devil, has manifested his energy to be capable of becoming a Dark Knight himself. Out of all Seven humans, Beyonce was glad he chose Zamox as the next pawn to be Disguiser of the Grimms. He prefers himself as
