Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: "Confronting the Wolves: Test of Strength and Inner Challenge"

The wolf stood before this sudden and destructive explosion, trying to resist the immense pressure of energy. As he bowed before Sevirath's overwhelming power, the latter felt an inner relief. He had succeeded in using his abilities for the first time in a real confrontation, and now realized the immense power of his new skill and how to use it effectively to defend himself and overcome his enemies.

...

Sevirath looked at the wolf kneeling on the ground, then looked at the other wolves and decided to kill them quickly. He flapped his wings and rose slightly off the ground, moving swiftly among the wolves, slashing their throats with his claws one by one before killing them all.

Then he approached the wolf, and the wolf looked into Sevirath's eyes and saw two golden eyes filled with ferocity and an unwavering intent to fight. The wolf felt a sensation he had never felt before: "fear" and he no longer dared to move, lowering his head to the ground. Sevirath looked at the wolf after seeing that he had lost the will to resist and felt bored. He wanted to fight to train his skills, but he didn't realize that he loved the thrill of battle and the excitement that accompanied it, and the addiction to gaining strength after each fight, believing he was fighting for training or survival.

He decided not to prolong the matter and quickly killed the leader wolf because there were many corpses waiting for him. He killed him with his claw and looked at him for a moment, then used "Gluttony" and went to the other bodies to use "Gluttony" on them as well. He felt rejuvenated and strong, then looked around and saw the destruction he had caused, the scattered blood everywhere, and the broken trees. He made sure no other monster was approaching, then decided to return to his cave.

As Sevirath was returning to his cave, he saw the path leading to it and the vibrant green trees. Although it was nighttime, it did not diminish the beauty of the forest. He looked up at the black sky filled with stars and felt peace filling his soul. The stars twinkled like scattered jewels in the sky, giving him a sense of hope and determination.

He paused for a moment, inhaled the fresh air, and closed his eyes to enjoy the surrounding tranquility. This place was his sanctuary, far from the noise and chaos of the world. Here, amidst the enchanting nature, Sevirath found strength and deep contemplation. He said to himself, "This life is not just about fighting, killing, and gaining strength. I must enjoy the process, and if I die, I will die peacefully knowing I gave it my all."

In that moment, Sevirath felt as if a shackle had broken in his mind, as if chains had been binding him. He felt relief and relaxation, something he had never felt before, as his body and mind were tense from everything: transitioning to another world, battles, killing, and training. He said, "I must rest and contemplate the nature around me from time to time. Well, I should go to the cave."

He continued on his way, and after some time of walking and contemplating the nature around him, he finally reached his home. He entered his cave and went to the pond to wash off the battle's effects. After some time of washing and swimming in the pond, Sevirath got out and went to his favorite corner in the cave and sat there. He said, "This battle, although not as tough as the boar fight, showed me the extent of my progress and that my training is not in vain. The 'Blood Burst' skill is incredibly powerful. This skill changes the game, and the side effects are not significant on me because I'm a dragon. If it were a human, although he wouldn't die, he would suffer serious injuries. But enough about the skill, sleeping on the floor is tough. Well, I should build my nest later, but for now, I'll sleep because I'm tired."

Sevirath went to sleep after being exhausted. He woke up in the morning, stretched, and saw it was morning, then decided to do warm-up exercises as he used to when he was human. After the warm-up exercises, he decided to check his status for any changes, and he said, "[Status]"

Sevirath looked at his status and said, "This is a good progression, and I got a new core skill. What's its effect?"

Skill: "Dragon's Sense"

Description: This skill enables Sevirath to develop his senses to a superhuman level, allowing him to perceive the presence of enemies and surrounding creatures even in pitch darkness. It also grants him the ability to sense hostile intentions and predict enemy movements before they happen.

Effects:

• Sharp Vision: Sevirath can see things clearly in complete darkness as if it were broad daylight, easily distinguishing hidden enemies.

Enhanced Hearing: He can hear faint sounds and whispers from far distances, making him capable of detecting enemies from a great distance.

Sensory Perception: He can sense subtle changes in the surrounding environment, such as temperature changes or ground vibrations, helping him detect nearby creatures.

Movement Prediction: He can read enemy movements and predict their next steps, giving him a significant advantage in battles.

Intent Detection: He can feel hostile intentions from surrounding creatures, helping him prepare and defend himself before being attacked.

Sevirath looked at his new skill with admiration, thinking about how to make the most of it. He decided to try it out, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath, sensing all the details around him. He said, "Dragon's Sense."

Suddenly, his senses began to amplify, and he started to feel the presence of multiple creatures moving in the nearby forest. The dim light was no obstacle, as he saw everything clearly within a radius of about 3 kilometers. There were groups of small animals moving among the trees, but he noticed a group of wolves moving cautiously towards his location.

He could hear their light footsteps and the sound of leaves crunching beneath their paws. Even their heavy breaths were clear to him as if they were close by. But most intriguing was that he sensed their hostile intentions, as those wolves were preparing to attack.

He looked at them with confusion as they headed towards his cave, suddenly remembering the pack of wolves from yesterday. He said, "It seems they are here for revenge. I should go to them first before they come to the cave, as I don't want fights and bloodshed anywhere near the place I live."

Sevirath then left the cave and looked at the sky, remembering that although he had wings, he had not tried flying high, only on the ground and dodging in battles. He decided to fly to them instead of walking.

He spread his large wings and saw them white with golden edges. After admiring them, he flapped his wings a few times before taking off from the ground. He looked at the vast sky and scattered clouds and flew high above the ground. When he was far from the ground, he looked at the forest below and saw the beautiful scenery beneath him.

The forest looked like an endless green carpet, glistening under the sun's rays that filtered through the dense tree branches. The trees were varied, some towering high with bright green leaves, and others with drooping leaves providing shade to the small creatures living underneath. There were small rivers winding between the trees, reflecting the sunlight like silver ribbons shimmering in the daylight.

Wildflowers of various colors were scattered here and there, adding a touch of bright colors to the green scene. He could see small animals moving among the trees and bushes, some playing and others searching for food. The birds were singing their melodious tunes, filling the air with notes of happiness and freedom.

In this magnificent scene, Sevirath felt inner peace and the beauty of the natural world he lived in. The view was enchanting and majestic at the same time, combining the beauty of nature with its immense power.
