William leaned forward, his hands clasped tightly on the desk as he processed the information. "And Vania's mother is certain about this? She saw it herself?"
"She was there," Brandon confirmed. "Not in the operating room, of course, but she overheard the commotion outside and saw the aftermath. She said Tim looked like a man possessed, shouting at the doctors for failing to save Lydia and ignoring the fact that the baby was alive."
William ran a hand over his face, feeling the gravity of what he'd just learned. "So the baby... it survived?"
