Rain's eyes flickered to the drink, then back to Michael's face. His twisted grin betrayed his eagerness, setting her nerves on high alert. He's up to something. Masking her unease, she forced a faint smile.
"Thank you," she said softly, taking the glass in hand. But just as she lifted it, she let it slip deliberately. The glass shattered on the floor, the juice spreading across the tiles.
"Ahhh!" she gasped, clutching her head and wincing in exaggerated pain. "It hurts!" she cried, her voice trembling.
Michael's expression shifted to alarm as he jumped from his chair. "Get the medic right now!" he barked, his usual smug demeanour replaced with panic.
Rain escalated her performance, clutching her head and pretending to tremble as if in a seizure. Her body shook violently, her breaths shallow and erratic. Michael cursed under his breath and rushed out of the room, shouting orders to his staff.
