Rain and Sanya exchanged meaningful glances during dinner. Aunt Vernice had been staying with them in the mansion for the past few days, and both of them had quickly warmed to her.
She was easy to get along with bubbly, friendly, and surprisingly the only person who could match their father-in-law's straightforwardness without hesitation.
After dinner, Sanya suddenly suggested, "How about we have a family game night out on the balcony by the fire?" But she quickly turned to Rain and asked with a chuckle, "Or do you need to work?"
Rain smiled. "It's fine. I could use a break, so let's do that!"
Vernice, overhearing the conversation, grinned widely. "Oh yes! Finally! I thought I'd be the only one up late tonight. It's Saturday tomorrow, so let's stay up all night!" she beamed.
