Rodriguez
The sun hung low as Rodriguez drove through the South, its heat a reminder that trouble was brewing. His shipment had vanished without a trace, and the whispers all pointed to the DeLucas. They'd been itching to take him down for years, but this was a new low.
He parked outside a tall building, the kind that oozed secrets and bad decisions. He could feel the tension in the air, thick and sticky like the humidity. The locals gave him side-eyes, their curiosity piqued by the outsider in a suit.
Stepping inside, Rodriguez scanned the room. On first floor A couple of people hunched over their drinks, and in the back, he spotted three DeLucas goons, he strode over, keeping his posture loose but his mind sharp.
"Hey, boys," he said, a smirk creeping onto his face. "Heard you've been busy."
Their heads snapped up, surprise morphing into a forced bravado. "Rodriguez! Didn't expect to see you here," one of them said, trying hard to sound casual.
Rodriguez leaned on the table, locking eyes with the one he knew was the right hand man of Delucas "I'm here about my shipment. Funny how it goes missing right around the time you lot start poking around my territory."
The laughter faded, replaced by silence. "We don't know anything about that," he said, sounding too nonchalant.
"Is that true?" Rodriguez pushed, his voice dropping an octave. "Because I've got a good mind to believe otherwise. You see, in my line of work, respect isn't given; it's earned. And stealing from me? That's a fast track to losing your teeth."
The tension thickened like smoke in the air, and Rodriguez could see them calculating their options. The right hand man finally spoke up, his voice shaky. "Maybe we just had a little misunderstanding, Rodriguez. You know how things can get in this business?"
Rodriguez chuckled darkly, straightening up. "A misunderstanding? That's rich. Let me make myself clear: I don't take kindly to games. So if you want to keep your teeth intact, you'll tell me where my shipment is."
The other two exchanged their glances, and he could see the right hand man of DeLucas smiling as if he didn't care. "Listen Rodriguez," DeLucas right hand man spoke finally said, his bravado building. "We heard some chatter, but we don't have anything concrete. Just some whispers about a new player in town."
"New player?" Rodrguez repeated, curiosity piqued. "You better start talking before I decide to make this personal."
Right hand man, Sebastian, leaned in closer slightly, his voice barely a whisper. "They say a guy from out of state is trying to move in. We thought it might be you, but it's not. I swear."
Rodriguez narrowed his eyes, weighing his next move. "You better hope you're telling the truth, or I'll come back here and make you regret it."
"You sure about that?" Sebastian said his voice threatening with cold look in his eyes, and it hit the Rodriguez, she was so sway by his anger that he forgot who he is messing with, Rodriguez starts shifting in his place uncomfortably, scared because he knows how dangerous and powerful these Delucas are, they could finish him if they want. But he will find the truth behind this, if it's anyone.
With that, Rodriguez turned on his heel and walked out, the heat of the day mixing with the the fire in his gut. He'd find that shipment, and whoever was pulling the strings wouldn't see him coming.
As he drove away, he knew he had a target now-not just the DeLucas, but this new player too. In this game, loyalty was scarce, but vengeance? That was his specialty. And he wasn't going to let anyone mess with Rodriguez.
Herbert Medical And Technology
Meeting Room
The conference room buzzed with energy as the board members of Herbert Medical gathered around the long table. Blaze sat at the head, listening intently to the discussion about their new Al mechanism. It was a pivotal moment for the company, and he felt the weight of the future resting on their shoulders.
Everyone was eager to talk about how this technology could revolutionize patient care- improving outcomes and streamlining processes. Blaze leaned back in his chair, surveying the room, but his gaze kept drifting to Savannah. She sat across from him, her brow furrowed in thought. He admired her passion and intelligence, and the way she always brought a fresh perspective to the table.
"Imagine cutting recovery times in half," one board member exclaimed. The enthusiasm was contagious throughout the other members too, but Blaze sensed a note of unease lingering just beneath the surface.
He decided it was time to hear from Savannah. "What do you think, Savannah?" Blaze asked, looking directly at her. Blaze was genuinely curious; He valued her opinion and knew she wouldn't hold back.
She took a breath, and Blaze could see the conflict in her eyes. "Mr. Baldwin, while I see the potential benefits, I'm concerned about the cost. This Al mechanism will be significantly more expensive than standard surgeries. Many of our patients won't be able to afford it."
Her words hung in the air, and the room fell silent. Blaze could feel the tension building as board members exchanged glances. He appreciated her honesty, but he also felt a knot tighten in his stomach. He wanted to defend the innovation they were pursuing, but he knew she was raising an important issue.
"Savannah, I understand your concerns," one of the boards member replied, trying to keep ttheir tone measured. "But think about the long-term benefits. This could ultimately lower overall costs by reducing complications and hospital stays."
She shook her head, her passion evident. "That may be true, but if we're pricing out those who need care the most, we're failing in our mission. We need to ensure that this technology is accessible to everyone, not just the wealthy."
Her conviction struck a chord with Blaze. She was right; their mission had always been about providing equitable healthcare. As he listened, he could see the weight of responsibility on her shoulders. He felt a surge of respect for her. Here was someone who truly cared about their patients, and that was a quality he admired deeply.
"Let's explore ways to make this technology more accessible," Blaze said, his voice steady. "Perhaps we can look into tiered pricing or partnerships with organizations that can help subsidize the costs. We have to find a way to innovate while keeping our core values intact."
The board members nodded, "And if we don't find a way, this project will be canceled" the boards memebrs were so shocked to hear this, cancel this important project which could possibly get their company high rocket end "But-" Arthur the intreruppted "Meeting is over" meaning its his final decision no one dare to say go against him, and the people dispersed. Savannah's bravery had opened a door for a more meaningful conversation.
Blaze admired Savannah not just for her intellect, but for her unwavering commitment to their mission. Together, they could steer Herbert Medical into a future where technology and compassion worked hand in hand, ensuring that every patient had access to the care they deserved.
"Savannah" When Blaze called her name, her stomach flipped. "Can I have a moment with you?" His voice was warm, inviting. She hesitated, caught off guard. The other board members trickled out, their chatter diminishing, leaving just the two of them in the spacious conference room.
She nodded, feeling her cheeks heat as she settled back into her seat. It was just him and her now, the air charged with possibility. She tried to keep her expression neutral, but inside, a nerves brewed.
"What did you think of the presentation?" he asked, his gaze steady and curious.
She took a deep breath, forcing herself to focus. "I thought it was insightful. The strategies you outlined could really make a difference."
He smiled, a slight grin that made her heart race. "I appreciate that. You have a unique perspective; I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on it." he added "But over a lunch" he said, his eyes brightening with genuine interest. Savannah blinked, momentarily stunned. Lunch? With him? She agreed, and they both stood up, heading toward somewhere Savannah didn't know.
As they walked through the sleek halls, she stole glances at him, admiring the way he carried himself-confident, yet approachable. And when his secretary hit the floor 21st, Savannah was dumbfounded. It's his office there. Why are they going there? she thought.
As they entered, she was instantly shocked by what she saw. The table in the corner was laden with an array of delicious food-sushi, fresh salads, and vibrant fruit. It was an unexpected feast, and she couldn't help but blink in surprise.
"Wow, this looks amazing!" she exclaimed, glancing at him in disbelief. "Did you arrange all this?"
He chuckled lightly, a hint of mischief in his eyes. "Only for you," he said simply. Savannah's heart fluttered at his words. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and she felt a warmth spread through her at the idea that he had taken the time to make this special.

As they sat down to eat, she couldn't shake the feeling of being cared for. Each dish was carefully selected, and as they began to talk, she again felt a deepening connection. Blaze shared insights about the company, and she contributed her thoughts, feeling more at ease with every passing moment.
His attention was unwavering, and Savannah was struck by how he made her feel valued. She admired that he was taking care of her meals but something tells her to keep her distance as there are nothing more else can happen between them. Blaze doesn't say but Savannnah knew the silence was his answer and these things that he is doing? She doesn't know either but hopes she finds a clear path. It felt less like a formal meeting and more like an intimate conversation between....what we call this?
HealZone Hospital
As Savannnah left Blaze's office, her heart was in turmoil. The conversation had flowed effortlessly, but something doesn't fit right. She returned to her desk, and a smile plastered on her face, not genuine.
Just as she settled in, her colleague Bella burst through the door, her energy palpable. "You won't believe what just happened!" she exclaimed, practically bouncing on her heels.
"What's going on?" Savannah asked, intrigued by her excitement.
"I just heard back about the volunteer opportunity at the Island! You've been selected!" Her eyes sparkled, and Savannah's heart skipped a beat.
"Really? Me?" She could hardly process the news. Volunteering to treat people in need on the Island was something she'd dreamed about. It felt surreal, like a distant fantasy suddenly within reach.
"Yes! They were impressed with your application and your experience. This is such an amazing opportunity!" Bella beamed, and Savannah couldn't help but smile back, a mix of excitement and disbelief swirling within her.
"Wow, I can't believe it. What about you?" Savannah asked her, Bella shook her head "I'm not the choosen one" she rolled her eyes but smiled at me "I wished we could go together" Savannnah said feeling little sad for her "It's fine, I can always call you" she winked at her and Savannnah laughed at that.
When do I start?" Savannah asked, the prospect of making a difference fueling her enthusiasm.
"You leave in two weeks! They'll provide all the details soon," she replied, still practically vibrating with excitement.
As the reality sank in, a wave of emotions washed over Savannah-happiness, nervousness, and a sense of purpose. This was a chance to do something meaningful, to contribute in a way she had always wanted.
"I have to prepare," Savannah said, already mentally sorting through what she would need. Bella's excitement was contagious, and as they chatted about the logistics, she felt a sense of clarity forming.
Today had been transformative, and now Savannah was on the cusp of something new and incredible. As she glanced out of her office window, the future felt bright, full of promise. She couldn't wait to embrace this opportunity, to make a difference, and to share her journey.
