His eyes darkened, "You are in love with Ravenna."

That was not a question, "That would be right, yes."

"I knew true friendly loyalty didn't exist," he mocked. "You're this loyal to her because you are in love with her, it's not unchangeable."

I doubt anyone can make me un-love myself or some shit. "It is."

"No, it isn't, because you are not mates," he exclaimed. "As long as you are not mates, it's not unchangeable, and I can find a way to turn off that so-called loyalty of yours, and find a way to make you tell me all about her, and where she is hiding."

And he called me bold? Funny. That got a genuine laugh out of me.

"You are in for a fool's deal, you bold bastard. Nothing can make me stop loving her, not even if Ravenna were to mate anyone, which I doubt she will, I would stop loving her," because I am her, and I'll never stop loving myself. "No matter what you try, it will be useless."

But then his eyes widened softly as if he had an idea, "Not if I make you fall in love with me instead," he exclaimed as if that was an amazing idea. "If I make you love me, and love me more than you love Ravenna, it will make you loyal to me instead. That way you would prioritize me and not her, because your love for me will be bigger."

What? No. "That's a mistake from your part," I mocked.

"No, it ain't, it's actually brilliant."

Oh, he's out of his mind, "You know what will happen? You with that stupid idea, will end up falling in love with me instead, and I'll remain in love with Ravenna. Making so you will be in love with a fae, which will be funny, given how racist you are, and you will be in love with someone who hates your lovely God. And I'll remain, loyal to her, loving her. As she is my type, and not you."

"Never heard of anyone who liked blondes over brunettes."

"Blonde?" I blinked, but then I instantly remembered that the last time they saw me, I was still blonde, my hair had not changed yet. "Her hair is more strawberry blonde than blonde, it leans towards light orange and not golden or yellow. It's different. She nearly a ginger."

"If the name is strawberry blonde, she's a blonde, not a ginger."

"So what? Blondes have a charm you wouldn't understand," ugh, no, they don't, and I know that, but I'm not going to admit that.

"Charm? Where?" He groaned as if I had wronged him. "Blondes are tasteless, they don't have any sauce, they look sick, sick they lack the extra spice one needs to be attractive. Blondes are nearly always white or pale skinned, which makes it even worse. They are straight up ridiculous."

I used to be a blonde, so, I'm kind of offended. "You're ridiculous.'

"No, I am not, because I have the extra sauce."

"It ain't showing," I scoffed.

"Look at my hair," he exclaimed, taking this too seriously.

I stared at his damned beautiful hair, as black as the feathers of a raven, so black in the light they have an almost dark blue glow to them, all wavy at the ends but silky straight on the crown of his head, looking so dam soft to the touch it's painfully tempting to touch. "Was I supposed to find anything appealing in it? Because I'm searching and I still can find nothing at all," I mocked, lying, of course.

"You're lying," he scoffed.

"No, I'm not," I exclaimed, firmly.

"You find me attractive."

"Are you trying reverse psychology or something?" I blinked. "If that is the case, you should stop because it's not working. I don't find you or any part of you beautiful, attractive, appealing, even less tempting in a level that would make me be stupid enough to fall for your lies. You clearly don't like me either, and you've made it clear that I'm not my type, hence why you trying to make me fall for you, will not work, because whatever you try, I will know beforehand that it'll be fake."

"What if I lied?" He crossed his big arms over his chest.

"Lied about?"

"About not finding you attractive?" He suggested.

And that made me laugh, "Not even you believe that, come on. I'm not the fool you're taking me for, bastard. In fact, it's offensive the fact that you genuinely think I would even fall for you, or that my loyalty is so easily bought by someone who serves a God I hate with such devotion. It offends me that you take my loyalty for granted like this, that you think I would not be loyal to Ravenna just because I would fall for someone like you, that all I feel for her resumes to wanting to be a love interest and some shit, when there are many kinds of ways one could love another.

"Besides, the disgust in your face when you said I was unattractive and not your type, was very much genuine, you couldn't have faked that. I know you look down on me because I'm a fae, but you should know that I am not one to let myself be influenced nor manipulated by anyone, not even if it's a male with a seemingly appealing appearance to most. Again, I am not into those who aren't fae, I'm more into females than males, I like the blonde and the ginger ones, with all due respect I like lighter skins, I also prefer the ones who are just slightly or at maximum a head taller than me when I'm barefoot, I'm not into cracking my neck to kiss somebody.

"You are not a fae, you are a male, you are a brunette, your skin is so tanned it looks golden under the light, you are insanely taller than me barefoot and with heels, in fact, I doubt there's any way at all of me facing you in any way that I wouldn't have to crack my neck to do it. I'm not very into that kind of long distance relationship. I also don't like people who act all dominant, arrogant, egocentric, with superiority complexes, or that make other people scared just by being near them. Oh, and I also don't like people with a tainted soul for murder. Your eyes are also unsettling."

"Ain't Ravenna planning a mass murder?" He clenched his jaw.

"It's different, because I am planning the same, we have the same targets, and they deserve it."
