Chapter 4: "Something's Off" -

Beatrice notices Alex's evasiveness about his health

Day by day love is beautiful, until one day,

Alex receive a secretive phone call that lead to something off, raising an eye brow to Beatrice.

Beatrice's mind was racing with questions. Why was Alex being so secretive? What was he hiding? Who called you on phone? She didn't know what to believe anymore.

"Alex, I need to know what's going on," she asked. "You're starting to scare me. If you're not who you say you are, then who are you?"

Alex's response was immediate. "Beatrice, I'm telling you the truth," he said. "I'm just a guy who love you. I don't know what's going on with these strange questions. Maybe someone's playing a prank on us."

But Beatrice wasn't convinced. She had a feeling that Alex was hiding something big. And she was determined to find out what it was.

"Alex, I need to see your ID," she said again. "If you're not who you say you are, then I need to know. I can't keep going on like this."

Alex's response was hesitant. "Beatrice, I...I don't know if I can do that," he said . "Can't we just trust each other?"

Beatrice's heart sank. She knew that she had to make a decision. She could either trust Alex and continue their marriage life, or she could end it and move on.

But something inside of her was screaming to be cautious. Something was off about Alex, and she needed to find out what it was.

"Alex, I'm sorry," she said. "But I need to know the truth. If you're not who you say you are, then I need to know. I deserve to know."

And with that, Beatrice ended their conversation. She didn't know what would happen next, but she knew that she had to protect herself. Something was off about Alex, and she needed to find out what it was.

Beatrice was determined to get to the bottom of things. She started by doing some research on Alex's name and any possible aliases he may have used. She also tried to look up his social media profiles, but they were all private.

As she dug deeper, Beatrice began to feel a sense of unease. She couldn't shake the feeling that Alex was hiding something from her.

Just as she was about to give up, Beatrice received a message from an unknown number. "Meet me at the coffee shop on Main St at 5pm if you want to know the truth about Alex," the message read.

Beatrice's heart raced as she read the message. Who was this mysterious person, and what did they know about Alex?

Despite her reservations, Beatrice decided to go to the meeting. She had to know the truth.

As she arrived at the coffee shop, Beatrice saw a figure waiting for her in the corner. It was a woman with long, curly hair and a kind smile.

"Hi, Beatrice," the woman said. "My name is Sarah. I've been trying to reach you for weeks."

Beatrice's mind was racing. Who was this woman, and what did she know about Alex?

"What do you know about Alex?" Beatrice asked, her voice shaking slightly.

Sarah took a deep breath before speaking. "Alex is not who he says he is," she said. "He's been using a fake name and profile to talk to you."

Beatrice's heart sank. She had been suspicious of Alex, but she had never thought that he would be using a fake name and profile.

"Why would he do that?" Beatrice asked, feeling a sense of betrayal.

Sarah hesitated before speaking. "I think he's been trying to hide his past from you," she said. "He's been using fake profiles to talk to women online for years."

Beatrice was stunned. She had never suspected that Alex was capable of something like this.

"What can I do?" Beatrice asked, feeling a sense of helplessness.

Sarah smiled kindly. "You deserve to know the truth," she said. "Confront Alex and ask him about his past. If he's honest with you, then maybe you can work through this together. But if he's not, then you need to be careful."

Beatrice nodded, feeling a sense of determination. She was going to get to the bottom of things, no matter what it took.

Beatrice took a deep breath and decided to confront Alex. She sent him a message, asking him to meet her at the park where they had first met.

As she waited for Alex to arrive, Beatrice couldn't help but feel a sense of nervousness. What would he say when she asked him about his past? Would he be honest with her, or would he try to deny everything?

When Alex arrived, Beatrice could see the look of concern on his face. "What's wrong?" he asked, noticing the serious expression on her face.

"I know about your fake profile," Beatrice said, her voice firm but shaking slightly. "I know you've been using a fake name and profile to talk to me."

Alex's expression changed from concern to shock. "How did you find out?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"That doesn't matter," Beatrice said. "What matters is why you did it. Why did you feel the need to hide your past from me?"

Alex sighed and looked down at the ground. "I was afraid of losing you," he said. "I knew I had made mistakes in the past, and I didn't want you to judge me for them."

Beatrice felt a pang of sadness. She had been so caught up in her own feelings that she hadn't stopped to think about Alex's perspective.

"What mistakes?" she asked, her voice softer now.

Alex hesitated before speaking. "I've been in trouble with the law before," he said. "I've done some things I'm not proud of. But I've changed, Beatrice. I promise I've changed."

Beatrice took a deep breath and looked at Alex. She could see the sincerity in his eyes, and she knew that he was telling the truth.

"Okay," she said. "I forgive you. But you have to promise me one thing."

"What's that?" Alex asked.

"You have to be honest with me from now on," Beatrice said. "No more secrets, no more lies. Can you do that?"

Alex nodded eagerly. "I promise," he said. "I'll always be honest with you, Beatrice."

Beatrice smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. "Good," she said. "Because I want to be with you, Alex. I want to explore this marriage with our unborn kids and see where it goes. But I need you to be honest with me, always."

Alex nodded again, his eyes shining with happiness. "I will," he said. "I promise. No more secrets, no more lies. Just us, together."

Beatrice leaned in and kissed him, feeling a sense of joy and excitement for their future together.

As they pulled back, Alex smiled and took her hand. "Let's start fresh," he said. "Let's leave the past behind and focus on our future together."

Beatrice nodded, feeling a sense of hope and new beginnings. "Yes," she said. "Let's do it."

And with that, they sealed their promise to each other, ready to face whatever came next in their journey together.

But little did they know, their happiness was short-lived. A new challenge was just around the corner, one that would test their love and commitment to each other.

What will happen next? Will they be able to overcome the new challenge and continue their journey together? The story continues...
