Exteriors - In front of the inn of the royal city of Aeternum - Day
Lemone returns to the inn after exploring the city and discovering the existence of a child trafficking ring. He is determined to get more information about this network and stop them.
As he enters the inn, he passes the innkeeper, the portly, bald man with a suspicious look.
Innkeeper: (In a jovial tone) "Ah, Mr. Bard! Back with us? What can I do for you?"
Lemone smiled a mischievous smile. He knows that the innkeeper is hiding secrets, and he is determined to extract them from him.
Lemone: (In an affable tone) "I just need a glass of your best wine, my friend. And maybe we could talk a little?"
The innkeeper nods eagerly and rushes to pour Lemone a glass of wine. They sit at a table in the corner of the inn, and Lemone begins to strike up a conversation.
Lemone: (In a curious tone) "Tell me, my friend, what do you think of the city? There's a lot going on there, isn't there?"
The innkeeper launches into a long diatribe on the gossip and scandals of the royal city. It tells of the corrupt nobles, greedy merchants, and criminals who roam the streets at night.
Lemone listens attentively, feigning interest. But in reality, he uses his "Instant Memorization" ability to absorb whatever information the innkeeper says.
During the conversation, Lemone discreetly touches the innkeeper's back. This triggers the "Instant Remember" ability and allows it to instantly download all information stored in the innkeeper's brain.
In seconds, Lemone has access to a wealth of information about the child trafficking network. He discovers the names of the network's leaders, their secret meeting places and their motivations.
Information on the child trafficking network:
* Leaders: Madame Volpe, a depraved noblewoman, and Grock, a ruthless gang leader.
* Secret meeting places: An abandoned tunnel under the city and a secluded house in the forest.
* Motivations: Profit and power. Traffickers sell children to wealthy families and nobles to serve as slaves or objects of pleasure.
Lemone smiled inwardly. He got the information he needed. He thanks the innkeeper for his wine and his conversation, then he leaves the inn.
Lemone sits at his desk, thinking about his plan of action. He has all the information he needs to stop the child trafficking ring, but he wants revenge on those responsible for this atrocity.
Lemone: (In her head) "I won't just stop them. I'll make them pay for their crimes. I'll make them suffer like they made those children suffer."
A sadistic smile appears on his lips. He has already made an evil plan in his mind.
Step one, Lemone knows that Madame Volpe is the leader of the child trafficking network. He begins by searching for her, using his contacts and skills to find her.
Step Two, Once he finds Madame Volpe, Lemone threatens to report her to the authorities if she does not give him a large sum of money. He uses his "Lying Mastery" ability to convince her that he is capable of carrying out his threats.
Step three, Madame Volpe, terrified by Lemone's threats, gives him a large amount of money. Lemone uses this money to finance his plan and to help children who have been victims of the trafficking ring.
Step four, Lemone then goes to the traffickers' secret meeting place, where he finds Grock and his men. He reveals their identity to the authorities and provides them with evidence of their crimes.
Step five, Grock and Madame Volpe are arrested and brought to justice. They are sentenced to heavy prison sentences for their crimes. Children who have been victims of the trafficking network are cared for by charitable organizations and receive the help they need.
Lemone is determined to find Madame Volpe, the head of the child trafficking network. He knows it won't be an easy task, but he's willing to use any means at his disposal to find her.
Lemone begins by questioning his contacts in the royal city. He first goes to the inn and talks to the waitress who served him the day before.
Lemone: (In a polite tone) "Hello, miss. You don't happen to know where Madame Volpe is?"
The waitress looks at him with a worried look.
Waitress: (Hesitantly) "I don't know, sir. I don't know this person."
Lemone knows she's lying. He uses his "Mind Reading" ability to probe her mind.
Lemone: (In her head) "She's scared. She knows something about Madame Volpe, but she's afraid to tell me."
He decides to change tactics.
Lemone: (Reassuringly) "Don't worry, miss. I won't harm her. I just need to find her to talk to her about an important matter."
The waitress is still hesitant, but she ends up giving him valuable information: Madame Volpe often frequents a certain merchant who owns a shop on the market square.
Lemone: (In a grateful tone) "Thank you very much, miss. I am very grateful."
He then goes to the shop of one of the merchants and asks him the same question. The merchant is more talkative than the waitress and gives her more detailed information about Madame Volpe's habits.
Marchand: "Madame Volpe, a very haughty woman for my taste, she often comes here. She lives in a fairly modern mansion near the park of the royal city."
Lemone: (In her head) "Great, I finally have a concrete lead. I'll be able to find this woman."
Lemone stands in front of the door of Madame Volpe's sumptuous home, her heart racing. He has finally tracked down the head of the child trafficking network, and he is determined to make her pay for her crimes.
Lemone: (In her head) "This is the moment of truth. It's time to put my plan into action."
He knocks at the door, and a servant comes to open it.
Servant: (In a haughty tone) "What do you want?"
Lemone: (in a firm tone) "I want to see Madame Volpe."
The servant hesitates, but ends up leading him to a luxurious salon where Madame Volpe is waiting for him.
Madame Volpe: (In an arrogant tone) "Who are you and what do you want?"
Lemone stares into her eyes, using her Lie Mastery ability to manipulate her.
Lemone: (In a hypnotic tone) "I know who you are, Madame Volpe. I know what you are doing. And I know how to stop you."
Mrs. Volpe is visibly troubled. She feels that Lemone is different, that he has a power that she doesn't understand.
Madame Volpe: (in a trembling tone) "What do you want from me?"
Lemone: (In a threatening tone) "I want money. A lot of money. And I want you to stop your child trafficking immediately."
Madame Volpe is trapped. She knows that Lemone is capable of revealing her secrets to the whole world. She has no choice but to give in to his demands.
Madame Volpe: (In a resigned tone) "How much do you want?"
Lemone: (In a determined tone) "A million gold coins. And I warn you: if you try to deceive me, I will report you to the authorities immediately."
Madame Volpe nods her head, defeated. She orders her servants to bring her the money, then she promises Lemone to put an end to her child trafficking.
Madame Volpe: "Here's the money! And one more thing, child trafficking is located in a secret tunnel in the back of the trading market."
Lemone: (In his head) "A victory, but it's not over yet. There's still Grock to eliminate."
He leaves Madame Volpe's house with the money, satisfied that he has gotten what he wanted.
