As they fought amongst each other, with a silent swoosh, one of his father's men fell from a sniper's shot, then another, and another, until all five of them were struck down.
Thomas, who was in the car, gawked at the man beside him as he leaned on the car door, terrified that he might be the next target. He knew that was definitely not Giovanni.
"Giovanni?" he called out.
The man fumbled through the car.
"Where are my spare gloves?" he said as he glared at Thomas, his gaze cold and menacing.
"It's good to have you back, Xavier."
Xavier just held onto his head as he got out of the car. His vision was blurry, but he had to be sure of Alessia's safety.
As he neared, he saw Alessia struggling to stand straight, looking dazed and confused.
"Are you okay, Alessia?"
"Yes... I don't know," she breathed.
