EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In the third quarter of 2024, the OA Initiative focused on two key projects: the BOUESTI Blood Donation Drive and Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) Awareness Campaign and the Research and Advocacy Project on Genotype Knowledge and
Despite some challenges, the overall outcomes were successful, contributing to a broader awareness of health issues within student populations and setting a foundation for future initiatives. There were no activity in some teams such as the legal team.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Engagement: 1,800 students engaged through the physical rally, and 1,500–2,000 people reached online.
Donations: 22 pints of blood collected, falling short of the 30-pint goal.
Advocacy Sessions: Two schools out of eight confirmed for advocacy and testing sessions, with outreach set to begin in October ending.
