The members of the little party played games and drank champagne till it was midnight when Chloe nudged them to get on their way.
Eden helped Henry into her car because he couldn't drive anymore, and Colliete's driver came for her.
With the three gone, Julien, Chloe, and Lisa were left in the living room.
"You should be on your way too," Julien told the girls.
"It'll be rude of me to leave your home this way," she said, pointing around at the mess. Since she had started to live alone, she had grudgingly learned to clean after herself, even though it wasn't second nature to her yet.
Chloe gave a smile, like a mother whose shrewd antic had just clicked.
"Well, I have to go now," she said, giving Julien a wink before closing the door behind her.
Now, Julien and Lisa were the only ones left in the room.
Lisa spoke first, breaking the brief silence.
