You only knew what I let you see. Xavier was just a mask, a lie I created to survive. The man you loved never existed."
Alessia's heart broke at his words, but she refused to back down. "That's not true. You're more than just the lies you told to stay alive. I know there's still good in you, Giovanni."
He scoffed, shaking his head. "You're wasting your time. I can feel the mutation taking over my senses. It's getting worse, and every second I spend here, I'm losing more of myself."
