Prologue 

I was a nineteen-year-old boy named Bolt, known for my unique orange hair, which made me quite popular in my town.

I was a high school second-year student at a school a bit far from town; it took me 25 minutes and two trains to get there. 

I usually go to the library to get new books after finishing the old ones.

"Since it's holiday tomorrow I need to get another book" 

I went to the library one day and returned the book I got and searched for a new book, and I picked up one it said 'The mysteries of the world' it sounded amazing that I took that book and before I realized it.

It was time for the last train, and I checked the book and ran with all my might. As you can guess I missed the train. 

"Uhhhh. Why is this happening to me", I groaned. 

I stayed in an internet cafe and spent the whole night reading the book.

It was boring, yet for some reason, I felt compelled to finish it, and so I did.

It was approximately 4 a.m. The first train should arrive at 6 a.m. I went out and it was cold and went back to the cafe. One hour passed. 

"Oh, it's 5 a.m. I should go to the library and get another book and go back home." 

I went to the library and returned the book. 

"Woah, you finished the book you brought yesterday", the librarian said. 

"Yeah, I missed the last train. So, I stayed at an Internet cafe and finished it" 

"Okay then go home and take some rest" 

"Okay, I will pick a book and go home" 

That was Billy, the librarian here. You could say he's a friend of mine.

I went and searched for some books and found one it looked very old and covered with dust.

I decided to take that and went to check in but strangely there was no record of this book. 

"Hey Bolt. Where did you find this book", Billy asked. 

"It was on the fourth shelf fifth row" 

"There are no records of this one so you can take it" 

"Okay then see you next time bye" 

"Bye be careful" 

I went to the railway station and there was 20 minutes' free time for the train.

Twenty minutes later, the train arrived, and I boarded it.

I live in an apartment not too big or small but enough for two people and yes, I live all by myself.

Then after a few minutes I returned to my house. I kept the book on my table and took a shower. I came back and cleaned the book and sat at the table to read it. 

I opened the book it was empty and full of blank pages. I was pissed off and went to sleep. 

Chapter 1: In Another World 

I opened my eyes and saw two people talking in some weird language I couldn't understand them.

I tried to get up, but I couldn't. And the place was made of wood and looked old. I thought I was dreaming and fell back asleep.

Then I woke up and saw the same place, but it was dark. And I raised my arm, it was very small. Then I realized that I was reincarnated. 

Three years passed. Now I can speak and understand the language of this world.

I can understand that this is a world which hasn't developed.

And there are three people in our house which are my mother her name is Lila she had a long and beautiful orange hair like me in my past life and my father his name is Yoshin he had a muscular body and had black hair and the last but not least, me I have black hair like my father but my eyes look different my right eye is in aqua blue colour and blood red on the left my name was Kazuma in this world. 

I learned to read while my mom tells stories from a book. It was about a hero who saved the world from someone/something I don't know their name because my mom said that no one should call his name if they did the calamity which was saved will start again and destroy the world and that hero was a swordsman. 

In the book they mentioned about magic, so I tried to do some magic. 

I stretched my arms and said fire ball and then nothing came out. 

Then two years went by. I turned 5 and my mom and dad took me to a place it looked like some kind of ritual place. There was priest standing and we went there my father said that I turned 5 to the priest. 

The priest said to me, "Kneel down kid". 

I kneeled and he said some kind spell and I saw a window open in front of my face and it said Status and another widow open and said "Received skill. Skill name 'addon'" Then the window disappeared, and another window opened and said, "Tell status to see the status window". 

The priest then asked, "what skill did you get." 

"I guess it said 'addon'" I replied. 

"That's new I have never heard of a skill with that name before" my mother said. 

I was shocked to know that magic exists in this world. 

"For now, let it be let him discover what that skill is," said the priest. 

After we returned home, and my mother said that I have a big sister and she is coming tomorrow.

She was studying at the royal capital of this continent. 

Oh, I forgot to talk about the world structure and about magic and this system. 

First let me talk about the system.

First in this world the magic is called "Essence of Aether" it is a raw power of magic which can't be used unless you train and there is a decent percentage of you getting hurt or even worse die. After all this the people who are able to use the "Essence of Aether" are called "Mater of Aether" or we can show the batch they provide in the guilds as a proof. 

But now in my case the system shows everything about me and that I have one skill which is "addon" and shows that I have Aether which is currently full. I don't know how to use it though. And that's all I know about this system for now. 

Now let me talk more about the magic as much as my mom told me till now. The Aether in this world is more than air and also the thing is everyone has Aether in them and can use it if they had trained if not the Aether in them will decrease their life span by a maximum of a year. The life span can be seen if you had a skill, which is "seelife" it has a worst side effect, that is if you tell someone about their life span their life will be sucked out and they will die. Good thing I didn't end up with it. 

Now let me talk about the world structure. Unlike Earth, this world has only one continent. That continent is called "Continent of Elaria" and it has a weird shape the world is small compared to earth and it takes only 12 minutes extra for a full rotation and also the weird part is this world has no land in east and west. In the past someone went to the space using the flight skill and some kind of chain.

At first, they formed straight line and flew by on carrying 8 of them on shoulder and he let them go once he hit his limit and the other took place and by repeating it, they reached space that's how we got the world map in this world. 

Then this continent is split by three regions. 

Kalthar in the north. 

Eldoria in the center. 

Ashkar in the south. 

The top of Kalthar is snowy region and the other half is in normal condition and all the creatures co-exists in that place and equally populated. 

Then the most parts of Eldoria is forest and the region of where elves have the larger population and the place where I live. 

Then that leaves Ashkar it is a tough place with mostly deserts and has only few demi-humans like lizardmen, orcs and other tough creatures and they are friendly creatures. 

And there is a big mountain called "Crystal Mountains" which is the home to ancient dragons and a place where we can rare minerals.

Then we have "Sapphire Sea" which is a sea that heals dead with a time limit of 1 hour.

Then we have "Whispering Woods" A forest where trees are said to communicate with each other and the spirits. And the funny part is the location of these places are a Mistry. 

Then "Great River Anora" they say this river flows from the "Crystal Mountains" to the "Sapphire Sea". So, if we find it, we can go to the "Sapphire Sea" and the "Crystal Mountains".

But none of these connect with the "Whispering Woods". 

The royal capital is located in the middle of Kalthar and Eldoria. 

There is sacred place in Eldoria which is maintained by elves in the forest the place is "Temple of the Stars" it is said to the gate way to the gods. 

Then if there was a sacred place there must be a forbidden place it is located in Kalthar and that place is known as the "Vault of Shadows" it is a place where all the dark secrets and ancient evils are sealed inside. 

Now back to the story. I went to sleep early I didn't think I would get this tired. This body was too weak that my previous body. 

Then I woke up the next morning and went out I saw someone sitting on the table and eating food. My vision was blurry I was not fully awake and then after few minutes I came back to my senses and saw my sister her name was "Yuri" she had a short red hair and blue eyes a bit shorter than dad and taller than mom. 

She was excited to see me and talked to me for over an hour about her adventures, which I found hard to follow. Then she showed me her picture book, which I looked at. She said it was a spell book. 

"Can I touch it. Sis" I asked. 

"Here you go" 

She gave me her book and it was heavy then she took it back since I can't lift it and kept it on the ground so I can see it. I touched a page which said "boost" and my system asked do you want to add the skill "boost". I touched the "yes" option and it said "skill added successfully". 

"To use the skill, get ready to run and say boost," said the system. 

I can't do it now and it says it's still level one which means I can level up my skills. 

And now I get it this skill is used to add any skills I want unless I see or touch it. 

Then I added all the skills from my sister's book except "seelife" I almost got that skill by misclicking but just by the skin of the teeth I escaped. 

Then for the day we went around and returned home and ate dinner and went to sleep. The next morning, I woke up earlier and went to test all my skills. I totally got 18 skills. 

"First let me try... boost." 

I sat in a running position and said "boost" 

Then in a moment I was in the royal capital I used up all of my Aether so my skill turned off. 

"Now let's try this skill" 

I took a deep breath and said "recollect" I restored the Aether I lost. It will collect all the Aether I in the air I took in. 

When I tried to return home few peoples called me for help in a small street. They looked like thugs, so I went with them, prepared to attack if necessary, convinced they were up to no good. They came to attack me I used "Tempest".

It's was a large-scale attack I held back a lot and attacked them they flew in the air and once I released them, they fell I used the time to recover my Aether and returned home using a spell "Teleport". 

Then the next day I sneaked out of the house and used a skill "Time Freeze" to stop time in a specific are I can extend it upto 3 meters in Lv.1. 

I tried a spell which was a bit complicated to do but it was simple in terms of use "Extract". It extracts the mineral we need from the ore or a place with that specific mineral. I extracted iron dust with that and tried to shape it using a skill "Remodel". 

I tried hundreds of times to make a sword but I didn't succeed. I can also manipulate all basic elements like Earth, Fire, Water, Air. And there is one more which is using the raw power of Aether. The spells for these are 

"Manipulate Earth" for Earth. 

"Manipulate Fire" for Fire. 

"Manipulate Water" for Water. 

"Manipulate Air" for Air. 

"Manipulate Aether" for Aether. 

I can use all elements I can lift that element move it and crush it. But When I tried for Aether, nothing happened, I don't even know if it worked in the first place. Whenever I try to use it, nothing happens. And I tried to copy the spells form those thugs. I got a message. "You can't use the skill addon until the cooldown." And the cooldown was for one whole month since the day I copied the skill from my sister's book. 

I checked my sister's book about the spell but it said "This spell can compress the Aether and make it in a solid state for us to use the "recover" spell." 

I tried to compressing it and ended up making a small mistake of leaving a hole while I was compressing it. And its exploded. Good thing I was using the "Time Freeze" spell. 

I mentioned I had 18 skills but I mentioned only 12 skills. 

The rest are "Shadow darts, Shadow blast, Identify, Flight, Telekinesis, Heal." 

The "Shadow darts" spell allows me to fire bullets made by Aether on air not the Aether in our body. 

The "Shadow blast" spell allows me to fire a big bullet made by the Aether inside my body it drains all Aether and fires it at once. 

Then "Identify" shows the status window of other who I am trying to see. 

Then comes "Flight" I can fly using this skill now it has a limit. I can fly for 3 hours and height up to 1500 meters. 

And we have "Telekinesis" It helps me move object without touching it. I can currently move a tree from its root. 

And I got the most useful skill "Heal" It can heal any wounds. I tried it on myself it can heal me but up a certain degree. It can also heal plants I tried a tree branch which I accidentally broke while using "Telekinesis". 

That's all the skill I got from that book. 

Few days passed by. 

One day I was trying to use the "Extract" skill to extract iron and "Remodel" skill to make an iron plate to make an underground base. I got caught by my sister Yuri. 

"Hey, Kazu did you do this all by yourself" she asked. 

"Umm... Yes" 

"Wow you did this all by yourself. How many months did it take to complete it" 

"I just started it yesterday and finished it now" 

The base was about the size of my house and double the height of the house as its depth. 

"Wow are you for real you can use "Extract" and "Remodel" simultaneously and also you can use it a lot of times????" she asked loudly. 

I can't reveal that I possess 18 spells like this; having two spells is already considered rare.

"Hey sis what is the maximum number of spells a person can have?" I asked. 

"Do you remember the hero? Which mom reads to you before bed" 

"Yes!!!" 

"He had 7 skills and 4 skills were super rare" 

I was shocked he only had 7 skills. Then we heard a voice calling us. 

"Hey Kazuma, Yuri Time for dinner" called mom. 

"Ok we will be right there" Yuri said. 

Then we had dinner and went to bed. 

Few days passed and it was time for the journey toward the royal capital. The academy is located in the southern Kalthar. There are a lot of races like Elves, Dark Elves and more. 

Then we began the journey to Kalthar.
