When Anthony was done conversing with Mr. Ellison and his wife he went back to Claire. He noticed she looked flustered and disturbed.
"Are you good?" He asked in a low tone. Claire knew he must have noticed her perturbed expression, she wasn't sure if she should tell Anthony about of the conversation with Mr. Harrison. She knew he wouldn't react well to it, so she decided to keep it to herself to avoid causing a scene between Anthony and George.
"I'm okay." Claire responded hoping he wouldn't probe further. Anthony wasn't convinced, but he let the matter drop, leading Claire to the dance floor as the band began to play a slow, romantic tune. As they swayed to the music, Claire felt a sense of security in Anthony's arms, despite the lingering doubts planted by George Harrison's words.
The rest of the evening passed without incident, but Claire couldn't shake the feeling that their encounter with George was just the beginning of a larger conflict.
