Anthony ended his call with Joe and leaned back in his chair, staring at the ceiling. Megan Brown. Her name conjured up memories of a different time in his life.
She had been his girlfriend in college and they had been very happy together. They had thought they'd get marries to each other, but eventually they pulled apart. After college, Megan wanted to pursue a career that would see her leave the city, they tried to make things work from a distance, but it didn't work out. They mutually agreed to end the relationship.
Anthony was still fond of her, he had never loved any other girl after Megan, well..until Claire came along. Anthony wondered why Megan was coming back to the city. Was it for a temporary stay or had she come back permanently? How would he feel when he saw her? Why did she call Joe and not him?
A series of questions ran through Anthony's mind and he was lost in thought.
"Who was that?" Claire asked, snapping Anthony out of his thoughts.
