Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 : The Round of 16

The tournament has reached its most intense stage yet, with only 16 warriors remaining. Paul, Kael, Kaira, and Lyrien have all emerged victorious in the rounds of 64 and 32, their skills and teamwork proving to be a formidable combination.

As they gather in the arena, the crowd erupts in cheers, acknowledging their impressive achievements. The nobles watch with keen interest, their eyes fixed on the four friends with a mix of admiration and calculation.

The host announces the next matches, and the friends learn that they will be facing new challenges.

"Kael vs Kaira!" the host declares, "Sibling rivalry takes center stage!"

Kael and Kaira nod at each other, their faces set with determination.

The nobles in the audience whisper among themselves, their eyes fixed on Kael and Kaira as they prepare to face off in the arena.

"Look at them, the pink-haired twins," one noble says, her voice filled with curiosity. "The girl can use mana but the guy is kinda okay."

The host's voice booms through the arena, interrupting their conversation. "And now, the match between Kael and Kaira begins! Let's see which twin will emerge victorious!"

Kael and Kaira face off in the arena, their swords locked in a fierce battle. But Kaira, with her 1st circle water and earth magic, gains the upper hand. She unleashes a torrent of water, striking Kael with a powerful blast. He stumbles back, struggling to defend himself against the onslaught.

Kaira seizes the opportunity, summoning a pillar of earth to immobilize Kael. He tries to dodge, but the earth pillar is too quick, trapping him in its grasp. Kaira raises her hand, ready to deliver the final blow.

But Kael, refusing to yield, uses his sword to channel his aura, shattering the earth pillar and freeing himself. He counterattacks, his sword slicing through the water blasts and striking Kaira with a precise blow.

Kaira stumbles back, impressed by Kael's determination and skill. The twins continue their intense battle, their magic and swords clashing in a spectacular display of skill and sibling rivalry.

The crowd gasps in astonishment as Kael, an 11-year-old boy, demonstrates his ability to use aura. "Impossible!" someone exclaims. "He's too young to wield aura!"

As the audience buzzes with shock and excitement, a flashback unfolds:

Paul, a few days ago, standing in a secluded clearing with a Kael. Paul's eyes shine with determination as he teaches Kael the art of activating aura.

"Focus your energy, Kael. Feel the power within you," Paul instructs.

Kael's eyes widen as he concentrates, his small hands trembling with effort. Suddenly, a faint glow envelops his body, and his eyes sparkle with excitement.

"I did it, Paul!" Kael exclaims.

Paul smiles, pride and joy radiating from his face. "You're a natural, Kael. Remember, aura is a gift, but it's also a responsibility. Use it wisely."

The flashback fades, and the present moment returns. Kael, now in the arena, continues his intense battle with Kaira, their magic and swords clashing in a spectacular display. The crowd watches in awe, realizing that Kael's abilities are not just a fluke, but the result of dedication, hard work, and Paul's guidance.

The battle between Kael and Kaira reaches its climax. Kaira, with a fierce determination, unleashes a powerful multi-shot spell, striking Kael with a barrage of magical projectiles. Kael tries to defend himself, but the sheer number of shots overwhelms him, and he falls to the ground, defeated.

The crowd erupts in cheers as Kaira stands victorious, her magic proving too strong for her brother. Kael, despite his impressive display of aura, is eliminated from the tournament.

Next, Lyrien faces off against a 14 year old swordsman. The two warriors engage in a fierce duel, their blades clashing in a flurry of strikes and parries. Lyrien's superior skill and strategy ultimately win out, as he emerges victorious, advancing to the round of 8.

Finally, Paul takes on a powerful mage. The two opponents exchange blows. Paul's quick reflexes and clever tactics allow him to outmaneuver the mage, securing a hard-won victory and a spot in the round of 8 alongside Lyrien and Kaira.

The crowd roars with excitement as the three friends advance to the next stage of the tournament, their bond and determination driving them forward.

As Kael sits alone, receiving healing for his injuries, Sir Valoric approaches him, his eyes shining with admiration.

"Kael, your skills and bravery in the tournament have caught our attention. I am Sir Valoric, a knight of the Duke Modrig family. We would like to offer you a place as a trainee at our estate."

"Kael, I must say, I'm impressed. Your ability to wield aura at such a young age is remarkable. You have great potential," the knight says, his voice filled with sincerity.

Kael looks up, his eyes still gleaming with determination. "Thank you, Sir Valoric. But I need time to think, to understand my abilities better. Can I have some time to myself?"

Sir Valoric nods, understanding. "Of course, Kael. Take all the time you need. But know that our offer stands. When you're ready, come to the Duke Modrig estate. We'll be waiting for you."

Kael nods, grateful for the knight's understanding. "Thank you, Sir Valoric. I won't forget your offer."
