Anita stood in the study, arms crossed, her gaze fixed on her brother, her eyes narrowing with disapproval.
"So, you knew he was with Lu Hanbing and did nothing? Don't you know he is a lunatic?" Anita demanded, a sharp edge to her voice.
Elian, busying himself with organizing the scattered papers on his desk, glanced up briefly. He let out a sigh, clearly weary of the conversation, but Anita's presence kept him from brushing it off.
"Of course, I objected," he replied defensively.
"I advised him to distance himself from Lu Hanbing. You know that's why he went abroad in the first place. But despite everything, he still wants to be with them. What else can I do? Lu Hanbing has not given me an excuse to strike. Otherwise, I would have dealt with him long ago."
Anita sighed and crossed the room to stand beside his desk. Then she put her hands on the desk and looked at her brother with a worried expression on her face.
