Fu Yan and Lu Hanbing were filled with sadness by the sight of Hirvan's tears. This was the first time they had seen him like this. The shock on their faces was apparent, but they also felt something deeper, a sense of helplessness and uncertainty about the cause.
Fu Yan looked at Hirvan, who was covering his face and hesitating before asking.
" Did you have a close relationship with them?"
But What he truly wanted to ask was:
'Were you in love with one of them? Is that why you're crying like this? Were you more than just friends? Had he broken your heart? Or was it an unrequited love? Are you happy one of them is still alive and has come back?'
But he held back in fear of receiving an answer he dreaded.
What if Hirvan answered yes to any of those questions? If Hirvan confirmed it, if he admitted to having been in love with one of them, how could Fu Yan handle that?
