As Hirvan left the resort, surrounded by tall pines and spruces on a hillside, the chill of late winter was still present in the air.
Hirvan inhaled deeply, the air crisp and tinged with the earthy scent of pine and damp soil. The freshness of the mountains filled his lungs.
As he stretched his arms above his head, feeling the tension ease from his shoulders, his breath formed small clouds in the cold air. The stark contrast between the warmth of the sun and the coolness of the mountain breeze played across his skin, reminding him of the transition between seasons. He exhaled slowly, a satisfied sigh escaping his lips.
"Finally out!"
Hirvan declared, a hint of relief in his voice as he glanced back at the towering structure of the resort. Although the white stone walls and balconies were beautiful, they were beginning to feel like the bars of a cage than the luxury escape they were supposed to be.
