Hirvan stared at the back of the unconscious boy sprawled on the floor, exhaustion lining his face. With a half-hearted chuckle, he muttered to himself, "Should I just drop him somewhere?"
"If you do that, Rosaline will be so sad."
A hoarse voice suddenly answered his question.
"What the fuck!"
Hirvan yelped, leaping back as though electrocuted. His wide eyes locked onto Drake, who rose slowly from the floor and leaned on the small bed frame.
"What do you mean by that?" Hirvan realized Drake's words were strange. How did he know he had a relationship with Rosaline?
"Aren't you her brother?" Drake raised his eyebrows, inquiring about it.
"What? How do you know?"
He had never visited her in the past five years; not even a call had been made. Just one-way letters that Rosaline had left him, addressed to the orphanage.
Drake offered a faint, almost smug smile, though it didn't reach his eyes.
