Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: "The Fracture of Reality"

[In the bustling classroom, amidst the chaos of voices and the incessant tapping of pencils, Damien sat quietly at his desk, his fingers tracing dark patterns across the page. The other students whispered and snickered, their gazes flicking toward him like sparks in the dark.

As the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, a classmate approached Damien, a smirk plastered across his face.]

"What's with all the scribbling, freak?" the classmate sneered, reaching out to snatch the paper from Damien's grasp.

In one swift motion, Damien's hand shot out, seizing the classmate's wrist in a vice-like grip. With a low growl, he pulled the startled boy close, his eyes burning with an intensity that sent shivers down the classmate's spine.

"What are you looking at?" Damien snarled, his voice a dangerous whisper. "You want to see what happens when you mess with me?"

Before the classmate could react, Damien released him, sending him stumbling backward with a look of terror etched upon his face. With a satisfied smirk, Damien gathered his belongings and strode out of the classroom.

[Damien, is a slender and frail-looking young man with a thin body type. He stands at an average height, but his gaunt frame and sunken eyes make him appear almost fragile. His dark hair is unkempt, and his pale skin seems to cling to his bones, giving him a haunted and exhausted appearance. His eyes, though piercing and intense, are sunken and surrounded by dark circles, adding to his overall weak and vulnerable demeanor. Despite his fragile appearance, however, Damien's eyes burn with a fierce intensity, a testament to the inner strength and determination that drives him forward. ]

As Damien strode out of the classroom, the sky suddenly darkened, transforming the bright day into an ominous night. The sun's warmth vanished, replaced by an eerie gloom that seemed to suffocate the world. Damien's gaze, like that of the others, was drawn to the sky, where a strange, pulsating energy seemed to build in intensity. Then, a deafening sound shook the air, like the very fabric of reality was tearing apart. The ground trembled beneath their feet, and the air was filled with the scent of ozone. The sound was so intense that it seemed to pierce through their minds, causing everyone, including Damien, to clutch their heads in agony and collapse to the ground.

As Damien regained consciousness, he found himself in the midst of chaos. The once-clear street was now a scene of utter destruction, with cars and vehicles crashed and strewn about, their metal bodies twisted and smoldering. People lay on the ground, some writhing in agony, others stumbling to their feet, dazed and disoriented. The sky, which had just moments before been a deep, foreboding black, had returned to its natural state, as if the bizarre event had never occurred. But the evidence of its impact was all too real, and Damien's instincts screamed at him to flee. He grabbed his bag, which had been lying nearby, and sprinted towards the safety of his home, his heart racing with a growing sense of unease. Something was off, something was very wrong, and Damien's mind raced to comprehend the magnitude of what had just transpired.

Exhausted from his ordeal, Damien finally reached his small apartment, his legs aching from the long walk home. The recent event had thrown the city into chaos, and he was grateful to have made it back safely. As he searched for his keys in his bag, he couldn't shake off the worry that he might have lost them during the commotion. But after some shuffling, his fingers finally closed around the familiar shape. He breathed a sigh of relief as he unlocked the door and stepped inside.

Damien's apartment was modest, a single room with a kitchen and bathroom attached. It was a humble abode, but it was home. He had lived here since he was a child, after his mother's passing and his father's subsequent departure from his life. The government had provided him with this apartment as part of their support program, which had helped him until he finished fifth grade. Since then, he had been on his own, managing to scrape by with the bare minimum.

Despite living alone, Damien took pride in keeping his home clean and organized. He hung up his shoes and placed them under the table by the door, a habit he had developed over the years. After a quick bath, he collapsed onto his bed, his body screaming for rest. He didn't bother with dinner, his exhaustion overriding his hunger. As soon as his head hit the pillow, he was fast asleep, the events of the day replaying in his mind like a distant dream.
