Chapter 27 - Revel Manifestation

The fight between Eron Walker and Adira continued in its intensity. Though the latter had the upper hand at the start, who had the advantage now was no longer cut and dry. Eron had shifted from a back stance into a kick stance, using the range of his legs to put a suitable amount of distance between him and Adira. Whenever his kicks made contact, his Revel neutralised the Revel that surrounded Adira. Unfortunately, Void Style's neutralising effect was only effective on Revel being emitted by the target.

Eron began to gather Revel into his feet causing a dark aura to surround them. He quickly launched a kick at Adira's head but the black-haired man evaded the attack and struck Eron in the chest. Eron kissed his teeth with his tongue again. He needed the chance to gather enough Revel for a Manifestation, but at this rate, his Revel Flow was being disrupted, he would be out of it before he could land a decisive hit.

"You can't even imagine the number of times I've heard people talk about the superiority of Void Style to every other Revel Art," Adira said. "Yet here it is in the flesh, nothing more than a reinforcement Art that can't do anything that can target its weakness,"

Adira swung at Eron again but his attack was dodged this time. The white-haired man began to gather Revel in his feet once more as he struggled to maintain his distance from his attacker.

"I will always be the first to admit Alteration Fist can exploit an inherent weakness in all Revel Arts and Revel Users, even me," Eron stated.

"Then you realise that this fight is already set in stone," Adira smirked.

"It is," The Walker agreed. "But not in the favour of whom you think,"

"And why is that?"

"One of is uses an Anti Revel Art, and one of us is an Anti Revel User,"

As the Revel continued to gather in Eron's feet, the energy of the universe began to manifest as dark tendrils that were visible to all. Witnessing this, Adira could not help but remember what his master had told him about certain Revel Users who could truly considered masters of their Art. He had called this distinction of skill a Revel Manifestation.

Aziel knew a great deal about Revel Manifestations, though Adira was unsure if the old man had a Manifestation himself. According to what he told him, a Revel Manifestation was the ultimate summirisation of a Revel User's Art, personality and ingenuity. By bringing forth the energy of the universe in the form of something that symbolises who that User is. How the Manifestation looked and what it did varied from person to person, regardless of whether or not they shared the same Revel Art.

If Eron was indeed about to do a Revel Manifestation, Adira had to stop him from gathering enough Revel. He launched another barrage of Revel disrupting attacks but none of them seemed to land. The white haired man had once again become a phantom, weaving through punches and kicks as if they were passing through him.

The Revel at his feet began to take form. Slowly, the dark tendrils twisted into a serpentine form as it wrapped around his feet and crawled up his body. The serpent like spectre grew larger and larger as it moved further, it's body and face being more defined, with thousands of scales sprouting from it and slitted eyes glaring at Adira.

Once it the Manifestation had wrapped itself around Eron, it was clear it was not a serpent. The dragon bared its fangs at the black haired man as its clutched its creator's shoulders. Adira could not help but be in awe of what he was witnessing. It was as if Eron had made life from Revel. It was not something unheard of but that did not mean doing it would be an easy feat to achieve.

"So what if you can make a dragon ghost?" He mocked. "I'll beat the scales of that thing while I beat you!"

The bearded man launched at his white haired opponent, body and fists surging with Revel. The dragon wrapped around Eron immediately unfurled and gathered itself at his foot as he raised his leg to launch an attack.

"Void Style, Eron Original," The Walker said. "Black Hole Dragon,"

Eron let loose a kick that sent the dragon flying. As it tore through the air, the Manifestation began to increase in size at a drastic rate. By the time it was in front of Adira, it was four times his size. The black haired man tried to disrupt the Revel Flow of the beast, but his hands simply passed through the spectre. As his head went through it, he could feel his Revel being neutralised by the Manifestation, rendering his Revel Art unusable.

The dragon continued its flight as it took Adira into its fangs. The other Ebon Shroud members got out of its path as quickly as they could. The Manifestation continued on its path, getting larger and larger until it crashed into the window of the room. The crash did nothing to halt or weaken the spectre as it simply broke through the reinforced glass and flew on outside.

The dragon let loose a deafening roar as it flew out the window before dissipating into the air. Adira was left barely conscious as he laid on the edge of the broken window, his back filled with shards of glass. He tried to focus his fading vision on Eron as the white haired man made his way to finish him off.

With his last bit of strength, Adira got back on his feet and took on a fighting stance once more.

"I'm not dead yet," He managed to say.

The members of the Ebon Shroud felt their hearts bleed for the man fighting for their cause. Though they knew Adira could not care less about their desires and was only fighting for himself, they also knew that he carried more on his shoulders than he was willing to admit, including them.

Eron stood a few feet apart from Adira, his grey eyes staring blankly at the injured man.

"Well fought," The Walker said. "You've done well to force me to use my Manifestation and survive it, but you cannot die here,"

Adira scoffed at Eron before passing out on the ground. The white haired man turned his attention to the other Ebon Shroud members. Even though Adira had been defeated, they could not give up just yet. They all to up arms once more and charged at the Anti Revel User, one last time.
