In a universe governed by divine will, myriad races reside, each subject to the governance of gods. Collectively known as mortals or Manushyas, they inhabit Earth, aspiring towards transcendence despite their earthly limitations. From the age of 18, they embark on a journey of spiritual cultivation, faced with a pivotal choice between the paths of Sur and Asur. Their resilience and adaptability lead them to seek guidance and protection from the gods they worship.
At the dawn of existence, a grand event known as "Samudra Manthan" unfolded by decree of the supreme gods. All transcendents were summoned to participate; some embraced this cosmic upheaval and were henceforth known as Surs—Devas who reside in celestial realms, embodying light, order, and benevolence. They played a vital role in maintaining balance and harmony in the universe. Others opposed it but were compelled to participate nonetheless, earning the title of Asurs—beings of formidable power and complex nature, associated with chaos and ambition, challenging the established cosmic order.
In this universe where gods reign supreme, all beings offer prayers to Shiva and Vishnu, the ultimate deities. Shiva embodies the consciousness of the universe, while Vishnu represents its physical form—the vessel of existence itself.
Amidst this divine hierarchy existed a being of unparalleled nature. Neither Sur nor Asur. Enigmatic and feared, coveted and admired, this being is the subject of envy among the transcendents and fear among the mortals. Even Shiva and Vishnu regard him with a mixture of awe and wariness.
His origins and appearance remain veiled in mystery. Feared by some, revered by others, his very name is whispered in hushed tones—if spoken at all. Known only as the Angel of Death.
