Here is Chapter 6:The Confrontation;
Sarah's heart raced as she watched John and Emily kiss. She felt like she had been punched in the gut, like all the air had been sucked out of her lungs. She couldn't move, couldn't speak, couldn't breathe.
Finally, she found her voice. "John!" she screamed, her anger and hurt boiling over. "What is going on here?"
John and Emily sprang apart, their faces guilty and ashamed. "Sarah, I..." John began, but Sarah cut him off.
"Don't lie to me!" she spat. "I saw you, I saw you kissing her. You're cheating on me, aren't you?"
John looked at Emily, then back at Sarah. "I...I don't know what to say," he stammered.
Sarah's eyes narrowed. "You don't know what to say? You don't know what to say? You're destroying our marriage, our family, and you don't know what to say?"
Emily stepped forward, her eyes flashing. "Sarah, please understand..."
But Sarah cut her off too. "No, I don't want to hear it. I don't want to hear your excuses, your justifications. You're a homewrecker, Emily. You're a predator. And John, you're a cheat, a liar, a fraud."
The confrontation ended with Sarah storming out of the room, leaving John and Emily looking at each other in shame and fear. They knew that their affair had been exposed, and that their lives would never be the same again.
