Chapter 4 - Desperate Measures

"Hehehe, Soul Devouring Ghosts!" The ghostly Daoist cackled, unleashing three bloodthirsty spirits from a pitch-black gourd, which he then directed towards Mo Qianqian.

Caught off guard, Mo Qianqian was momentarily flustered but quickly regained her composure. She let out a low shout and, with a flick of her jade finger, summoned a pearl wrapped in a purple mist from her storage bag.

The moment the pearl appeared, the three malicious spirits halted, too terrified to continue their assault.

"Hmph, vile demons, if you don't retreat, you'll be dead meat once my fellow disciples arrive!" Mo Qianqian threatened, stepping back. Unfortunately, she triggered a binding spell set by the ghostly Daoist, causing a dark light to flash, trapping her within its confines. Despite her rising panic, she forced herself to stay calm.

"The Misty Smoke Pearl, hehehe, it might repel evil, but it can't handle my Soul Devouring Ghosts!" The ghostly Daoist sneered, flicking three drops of blood into the malicious spirits. They seemed to be invigorated, ignoring the pearl's presence and lunging at Mo Qianqian again.

You cowardly scoundrel, you show up when you're not needed and vanish when you are! Mo Qianqian cursed inwardly, forming hand seals and summoning her Ice Sword. Infusing it with her spiritual energy, the sword emitted a chilling mist and began to vibrate.

"Ice Sword Technique, slay the demons!" With a swift motion, Mo Qianqian sent the sword flying. It pierced through one of the ghosts and swung back to attack the other two.

"Ghost Blade!" The ghostly Daoist shouted, sending a dark beam towards Mo Qianqian's Ice Sword.

With a clang, the dark beam fell, revealing a black dagger. However, Mo Qianqian's Ice Sword dimmed, its power greatly reduced by the ghostly energy.

As the two remaining spirits closed in, eager to consume her soul, Mo Qianqian gritted her teeth and threw out two talismans: one to repel and one to explode.

The repelling talisman pushed the spirits back, and the exploding talisman followed, engulfing them in flames. They howled in agony, struggling to maintain their form.

"Pink Fairy, what are you waiting for?" The ghostly Daoist shouted, distressed by the damage to his precious ghosts.

"Relax, I was just letting you shine," the seductive woman giggled, her white arms waving as a pink rope shot towards Mo Qianqian like a snake.

"With the Enchanted Rope binding you, struggling will only make the enchantment spread faster. Hahaha, there aren't any other men here, or do you wish to have a romantic encounter with the ghostly Daoist?" The Pink Fairy's laugh was lascivious, and her eyes sparkled with excitement at the thought.

Mo Qianqian was furious. This was just her luck, first dealing with that lecher, and now these two creeps.

"Hehehe, I wouldn't mind having a taste," the ghostly Daoist leered, his desire evident as he approached the stunning Mo Qianqian.

"Ghostly Daoist, do you really want to stay here longer? If the other disciples arrive, we'll be in big trouble. Let's take her and go," the Pink Fairy advised.

The ghostly Daoist nodded, stepping towards Mo Qianqian with his skeletal hands ready to grab her.

With a soft thud, the ghostly Daoist suddenly froze, as if turned to stone.

"What are you doing, Ghostly Daoist? Hurry..." The Pink Fairy sensed something was wrong and retreated quickly.

But before she could get far, a spiritual light struck her, scattering her energy.

"You little minx, running away from Grandpa Ye? Not a chance," Ye Hao's teasing voice rang out.

Before he finished speaking, his body turned into a blur and caught up with the Pink Fairy.

Terrified, she tried to cast a spell, but his expert hands quickly immobilized her, leaving her powerless on the ground.

It was then that Mo Qianqian noticed the ghostly Daoist still standing, a small hole in his forehead, blood trickling out. His eyes were wide open, devoid of life.

Ye Hao's silhouette gave Mo Qianqian an unexpected sense of relief.

"Oh, darling, you're scaring me! Let me go, and I'll do anything you want," cooed the Pink Fairy. Despite being immobilized, she noticed her captor was just a young man, and her fear subsided. She had plenty of experience seducing men in the world of cultivation; even the elders of prestigious sects had fallen for her charms. A young, hot-blooded guy like this should be easy to handle.

"Ye Hao, kill her!" Mo Qianqian cried out. She couldn't believe the audacity of the Pink Fairy to seduce Ye Hao, knowing full well his reputation as a womanizer. She feared he might actually fall for the act and let the witch go.

But Ye Hao ignored Mo Qianqian. Instead, he looked entirely captivated, his gaze roaming over the Pink Fairy's ample chest. "Really? But just letting you go doesn't seem like a fair trade," he leered.

The Pink Fairy's eyes sparkled with mischief. "How about adding that Misty Smoke disciple too? I can see she's got an inner charm that just needs the right... guidance. I'll make her as obedient as a kitten. The three of us together? You'll feel like a god."

Mo Qianqian shook with rage, but before she could speak, she felt a wave of heat spreading through her body, awakening a primal desire. She quickly closed her eyes, focusing her mind to resist.

"That sounds fantastic! But, I've got one more question, my dear. Why were you daring enough to kidnap a disciple from the Misty Smoke Sect?" Ye Hao laughed, then abruptly changed his tone, his voice sharp.

"Well... no harm in telling you. An outer sect officer from Misty Smoke coveted my beauty. I wanted to get a token from the Misty Smoke Sect to sneak in and teach him a lesson," the Pink Fairy explained.

Ye Hao's face lit up with a knowing smile. He leaned in close to her ear and whispered, "Well, it looks like you're of no real use to me now. Even at my lowest, I wouldn't touch someone as common as you. And as for 'training,' I prefer hands-on experience."

"You..." The Pink Fairy tried to protest, but before she could finish, Ye Hao tapped her forehead, and everything went black.

Ye Hao shook his head with a wry smile. Did she really think she could deceive him with such a lie? Still, he suspected she might have been in cahoots with a Misty Smoke Sect officer.
