Chapter 86 - From Encounter To Alienation (Part 6)

Jogrin, for the third time, repeated everything that took place from his point of view. The difference between this time and the previous two times was that, he was given a microphone and have whatever he said broadcast to all members of the First Order of the Royal Knights.

Leaving aside how ridiculous this was, Jogrin wished that this would be the last time he had to talk about the incident involving the bullies and Kron. Every Knight in the Second Order were also "cordially invited" by Captain Honjok to listen in as well, despite them having heard the gist of it from Captain Ryov.

As Jogrin spoke on, all the Knights present were all having discussion with each other, some were even writing down their notes. It appeared that Captain Honjok really was trying to beat them into shape, intellectual-wise.

After describing the events with much detail, Jogrin was to move on to his analysis and deductions. Sensing that he was about to get to that, Captain Honjok, who was next to him, held out her arm in front of Jogrin, signaling for him to halt.

"Alright alright!!! That's the end of the story! And now it's Q&A session!! Ask away!"

She stole the microphone from Jogrin and commanded, before returning it back to Jogrin. The latter gave her a blank look, since he wasn't anticipating a Q&A session.

Immediately, someone raised their hand.

"Go ahead!!"

However, the Knight who raised his hand was so far away, that his words were inaudible. Captain Honjok scowled and folded her arms and stepped forward.

""LOUDER!!! CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!"

With that, instead of repeating his question with a louder voice, the Knight muttered something to another Knights some distance away from him, the latter repeated that action with another, until the one right before Captain Honjok asked the question directly.

"Hahaha!! Good thinking!!! I like that!"

Captain Honjok exclaimed with elation, and a satisfied look on her face, even though Jogrin hadn't even answered the question. It looked like she was giving them challenges in some unexpected ways. Jogrin was impressed by that.

Anyway, the question from that Knight was: whether there were any connections between Jogrin and Kron. A simple question, yet a very critical one. Hence, Jogrin informed them about the invasion and destruction of his home planet, and how Kron was involved.

This was quickly followed up by another query: the whereabouts of Venrya. This one wasn't as critical as the last one, but Jogrin replied by saying that he didn't know.

Another one came up, asking about Jogrin's capabilities, and his powers inflicted nausea, followed by more focusing on the details regarding "mind tampering" and "emotional perception." Albeit the barrage of questions, Jogrin was able to give responses without giving much thought, since he was basically repeating what he told Kapel and Proxer in the past.

Nevertheless, no one among the Knights had asked the most critical question. Jogrin perceived alight disappointment from Captain Honjok, as well as Kapel who was at the back, standing with Proxer, Naytia, Captain Ryov, and the others who were in the tent. Even Proxer and Captain Ryov were being expectant towards those Knights, as they were waiting for the question from those Knights.

"Stop~ stop stop!!!"

Any and all discussions among the Knights came to a halt as soon as Captain Honjok stole the microphone once again yelled into it. They all had their eyes concentrated on her.

"You guys are missing something real important, you know that?"

The Knights gave her curious gazes. Even though they all had their helmets on, she could tell that they were profusely confounded.

"Last chance, before I ask it myself!! You all have 50 brains altogether!! Come on!!!"

The Knights were all racking their brains, combining their thoughts, hoping to complete the puzzle given by Captain Honjok, but to no avail. More and more of them were becoming disheartened by the fact that they were at the end of their wits.

"No one???" Captain Honjok urged them, but no voices were raised among them.

She turned to look at Jogrin, the microphone being practically stuck to her lips.

"What is your real identity, Jogrin?"

She waited for his answer after shoving the microphone in his face. Having no other choice, he received it once again and spoke.

"Darkian."

Upon the mention of that word, the Knights were... even more perplexed.

"This is why you need to study history, people. Let me put it simply for you birdbrains! The Darkians former identity was Hikarans, which was one of Zuta's trading planets, until around 1500 years ago when they cut all connection with other planets. And now, someone that hails from that mysterious planet is here!!"

Even though the Knights didn't exactly know what Darkians or Hikarans were, "1500 years ago" was enough to leave them in awe.

"We're not done yet! Who can think of what I want to ask next! Hint: try to remember what Jogrin answered your questions with!"

No voice again... Or that was the case for ten seconds.

"Um! Why did you come to Zuta?"

"Bingo!! 100 points! Now, Jogrin!"

"... I crash landed here by chance. I thought I came from inside a shuttle, but it's more likely I got separated from it and crashed here, just me."

"We didn't ask about the second half, but there you have it!"

"I have something I want to know too! Do you know why this Kron guy came to Zuta, disguised himself as a Knight, and attacked you? Is he here to pursue you?"

"He abducted one of my brethren, instead of killing her, so I don't think he was the one who initiated the invasion, or is he here to pursue me. As for his real goal by coming here, I don't know."

"I don't believe-"

"We'll leave all the doubts for later! Only questions that haven't been addressed for now!!"

"What?"

"What indeed! Anyone else??"

Jogrin was a little irritated to find out that the barrage of questions wasn't the end, but he'll be bombarded by questions of doubt later on.

"If you feel the need to, you can even ask for more details of the invasion!!"

"I've already said that that's all I remember."

"Then, those questions will be moved to the next part!!"

Now Jogrin understood what Captain Ryov meant when he told Jogrin that Captain Honjok was a forceful person. She was like Zanphia, but in a different way, and much worse.

Captain Honjok glanced around at her fellow Knights and waited a little more, when she noticed no one had any more questions in mind, she addressed Jogrin again.

"Then, Jogrin! A last question from me! Your ability to fly at crazy speed is genuine, attested by Mr. Kapel himself. If that's the case, why didn't you just escape from all the supervision, and be purposely restrained by something that couldn't restrain you whatsoever if you actually tried? Heck, even right now is no exception, right?"

"Is this a trap?"

"No no no no! A genuine question!!"

"Please allow me..."

Proxer stepped up and spoke to both Captain Honjok and Jogrin.

"Hm... I guess I'll hear the both of you out then. Mr. Maladin, if you would."

Captain Honjok decided that Proxer's chiming in was a great opportunity to learn more about why Jogrin didn't flee and seized it. To her, learning from various people's perspective could allow her to make a more objective conclusion.

Proxer took a deep breath, and spoke his piece.
