Chapter 3 - III | The Rosenfield Household

I find myself in the Duke's study room and in my wedding dress.

"Honey, what were you thinking? Why did you run away?"

'What do I do? I wanted to stop that marriage because its a deathflag, but what if that itself is a deathflag? What if the Emperor decided to arrest me for humiliating His son and... Ahh! What do I do?!'

"Sir Zeke..." The Duke went to his table and wait for Zeke's update.

"The Aristocratic Faction is in chaos. "

Aristocratic Faction, or the Court, represents the apex of political power within the kingdom, composed of both the royal family and influential noble houses. Serves as a pivotal force, blending political, serving as the Legislative and Judiciary, maneuvering with cultural tradition to govern the kingdom and shape its future amidst intricate alliances, rivalries, and the pursuit of power.

The Duke sighs, "Celeste, Honey, you do not need to worry. I'll handle everything."

"I—" I was about to ask for forgiveness for the chaos I have bring him, but when I look at Sir Zeke who is just beside me, he shake his head and assure me that everything is going to be fine.

'Huh, this is sooo stressful. I haven't even lived a one whole day and I...' I finally notice the high ceiling and grand intricate detail of the hallway. "Wow..."

'How can something so lavish be called a home?'

[The household of Rosenfield is a bastion of old-world aristocracy and refined elegance, reflecting centuries of noble heritage and influence within the kingdom. Situated on sprawling grounds amidst lush gardens and manicured lawns, the Rosenfield estate exudes grandeur and tradition. It epitomizes the pinnacle of aristocratic life, blending historical prestige with modern sophistication. It serves not only as a residence but as a symbol of power, tradition, and enduring legacy within the kingdom's aristocratic hierarchy.]

When I arrive at my chambers, I stare at the ceiling as I lay my back at the bed. "Did I really transmigrated as the Villainess?"

My thoughts hasn't even settled in yet, when three knocks ended my thoughts.

When the door open, three maidens in fair dresses all bowing their head entered.

"My Lady, we have brought some refreshments to ease you." The Gingerhead said, and the two light brown head prepared the tea and cookies on the table.

[Lady Rose Belshaka, aged 25, is the head lady-in-waiting of Lady Celeste. Born the daughter of Count Belshaka, she entered society with hopes of securing a match, but after three years without success, she embraced her status as a spinster. With ginger hair and a smattering of freckles adorning her face, she wears round glasses that accentuate her scholarly air. Lady Belshaka's path led her to Lady Celeste's side through tea parties and persistent attendance at balls, where she demonstrated her commitment and capability. Eventually, she earned the esteemed position of Lady Celeste's head lady-in-waiting, a role she fulfills with dedication and pride.]

In the novel, Celeste has been fond of Rose. Even when she enters the Palace as the Crown Princess when she married Alexander, Rose has been by herside.

'But on the last few scenes of Celeste in the novel, Rose has gone MIA. I think she was also punished because she is the servant of the Villainess.'

"Loyalty."

"My Lady?" Lady Rose asked. "Oh, ah, nothing. I was just. Ah..."

"Were you uncomfortable with your dress? I should've known, apologies. Miss Tan and Miss Louise, help Her Lady to change her clothes..."

While Miss Tan and Miss Louise helps me with my wedding gown, Lady Rose untangle my elaborate updo.

'How do I make a statement? How do I get away from these redflags? Just because I ended the wedding, doesn't mean it won't happen again. Alexander is a persistent son of a b*tch, even in the novel, Stella refuses her more than a gazillion times! That man is as twisted as he can be, and he needs Celeste to be his bride, because, he must appease the Aristocratic Faction in order for him to be able to take Stella as a consort, and to do that, he must compromise to the court's desire, for the Rosenfield to be tainted with royalty.'

Rosenfield has been known to be diplomatic and neutral. In the battle of power, Rosenfield has positioned itself as powerful enough as a dukedom without clinging to the royal's power, the military power of the dukedom that fuels the kingdom's warfare, is enough for it to not be bothered by political affairs.

The only reason for Rosenfield to be tied to the kingdom is through pursuing Lady Celeste, the brat and naive daughter of the duke.

'Celeste is really lucky, to have the Duke as a loving father, he compromised, and give in to the power of the royals in order to make his daughter marry his daughter's love of her life, Alexander.'

'That's it! I have to believe in the power of the Rosenfield. If I cut ties with the royalty and offically end this marriage, then, its going to be easier to avoid the deathflags!'

"Burn it." That's what I decided to do.

"My Lady?" The three ladies were in shock, and it is only natural, to burn the wedding dress that the palace has bestowed to her can be considered treacherous, and also, Celeste has always been in love with the Crown Prince, some thinks its just wedding jitters, pressured by the ton, that she'll be back at the aisle once again to finish the ceremony. So when she says, burn it, its more than just to burn.

"But my Lady."

"I don't want to wear that hideous dress anymore. Burn it! Do I have to repeat my words?" That's more like it, maybe they are not used for Celeste being meek and timid. Maybe acting more "villainous" would do the job.

'Treachery? No way, what's treachery is killing Stella, who bears the Crown Prince's son who supposedly next in throne just like the original plot, this? This is just a tantrum of a Villainess!'
