It was sometime in the morning, maybe afternoon, who knows. But the birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming. On days like this, you should be napping.
But something was bugging Eunsoo, poking away at her face like water droplets in water torture.
Waving her hand around, Eunsoo halfheartedly tried to deter whatever was bothering her. Returning a muffled giggle, with the poking continuing after a brief grace period.
Unable to stand the torture any longer, she swings in the direction of the insistent pokes.
"CAN'T A GIRL GET HER BEAUTY SLEEP?!!"
Contrary to Eunsoo's expectations, her hand connected with the thing or person that had been bothering her.
SMACK
Two shrieks of pain echoed in the room. One being Eunsoo, grasping her hand in agony. Another from a kid, clenching his face now with a red mark vividly imprinted.
The painful buzzing from her hand had woken Eunsoo up if she wasn't already awake. It was then she noticed, 'Wait…where am I?!'
Taking in her surroundings, Eunsoo was no longer in her homey apartment but in a large room with beds lined up side by side reminiscent of a hospital room. The room was filled with beds yet felt empty, with a uniformed pillow and blanket all being neatly folded as if not a single soul had entered the room. The walls decrepit with the wood peeling away all add to the image of a haunted room.
Eunsoo backs away in panic, noticing that not only has her environment changed, but so has her appearance. Her hands have gotten small and chubby, not only that but the best of her body has gotten smaller.
She had become a child.
As Eunsoo is dazed by her new body, the little boy who she smacked announces, "I'm telling Sister Ann that you hit me!"
He quickly scurries out of the room right after, still holding back tears.
Eunsoo's heartbeat starts to pick up at the thought of the little boy bringing someone back, but also the fact that she's completely lost on where she is.
Just like a child in the face of an impending punishment, there is only one thing to do. Hide.
Crawling into the tight-fitting space below the bed, Eunsoo desperately tries to gather her thoughts.
'This has to be a dream right?' Nervously muttering to herself, she pinches her wrist only to feel a sharp pain.
'Nope, not a dream.'
Scratching her head in frustration, Eunsoo tried to recall everything she could remember when an idea came to mind.
'Maybe…maybe I died and reincarnated into another world! Only one way to test this out.'
"System", Eunsoo calls out.
And absolutely nothing happened.
'Maybe that's not the right command' she thought to herself, proceeding to spew a bunch of commands.
"Open sesame."
"Menu."
"Turn on."
Even her horrible attempt at a Windows startup sound didn't strike a response.
'Alright, not a fantasy world I guess, what if—'
Just as Eunsoo is about to continue entertaining her idiotic theories, the bed sheet is lifted. Eunsoo's eyes meet that of a lady dressed in the attire of a nun.
"Bianca, what did I tell you about hitting others? But first, get out from under the bed, the floor isn't clean."
The nun, sister Ann, lectures Eunsoo before pulling her up and dusting off her nightgown.
"Come now child, everyone else is already having breakfast. Let's go get you washed up, we'll speak of your punishment later."
The nun holds out her hand to Eunsoo, which Eunsoo takes after a quick contemplating whether to or not.
Walking through the worn-out halls of the building, Eunsoo takes in more of her surroundings. Anything for a clue for where she may be, so far it very much fits the bill of a medieval-esque world.
Then Eunsoo arrives at the doorway to a bathroom decked out with a toilet, sink, and all.
'Cross that, this is not medieval.'
Sister Ann places a stepping chair for Eunsoo, "Be quick, you know how fast the children finish everything".
Patting Eunsoo's head, Sister Ann then leaves the room.
Left to her own devices, Eunsoo turns her attention to the mirror in front of her. A girl, around 7 years old, looked like they have never been in the sun even before they were born returns her gaze. Dark locks resting on her shoulder while there's an odd streak of white on the side.
Leaning closer to the mirror, Eunsoo tries to get a better look at this new body. It seemed like her eyes were a grayish-purplish color.
'This can't be healthy.'
