Chapter 37 - loki reaction

(Asgard)

Loki paced back and forth, his fingers twitching with growing irritation. Sitting on the throne of Asgard, he couldn't help but feel smug about his newfound power. Odin was in the Odinsleep, and Thor was, for the time being, out of the picture—stripped of his hammer and exiled. Everything was going according to plan.

But then Heimdall's voice echoed in his head, disrupting his moment of triumph.

"Thor is with strange company, He is accompanied by mortals, but also... divine beings." Heimdall informed him, his tone calm as usual. "Among them... a Valkyrie. A powerful one."

Loki froze mid-step. *A Valkyrie?* His mind raced.

"Which one? I thought they were all dead," Loki said, curiosity getting the better of him, though his words were laced with suspicion.

"This one is... Brynhildr, She proclaimed that she is Odin daughter." Heimdall responded.

Loki's brow furrowed, and his mind instantly jumped to the most dramatic conclusion. "*Brynhildr? Sister?*" He practically spat the name, his eyes flashing with the fire of new fury. "Father! You cheating, two-faced hypocrite!" he cursed, pacing around the throne again, his thoughts spiraling. "All this time... did he hide a Valkyrie daughter from the rest of us? Is that why Mother was always so suspicious of him? How many secret children do you have, Father?! How many! Shameless Old man!!!"

He hissed, rubbing his temples in frustration. "Odin cheated on Mother with... a Valkyrie? Valkyries, no less! Is nothing sacred to you, Odin? First, you saddle me with my birth identity, and now *this*!"

Meanwhile, Heimdall, though usually neutral, couldn't help but let his gaze linger on Brynhildr. It had been many centuries since he last saw her kind in Asgard. As she moved with her usual grace among Thor's mortal friends, her strength and warrior spirit were unmistakable. She bore a proud, regal presence, far more disciplined than Thor, yet... she couldn't lift Mjolnir. Heimdall's eyes narrowed at that thought.

*She may be a Valkyrie, but is she truly worthy?* he mused silently. *She carries the divine blood of Odin, yet the hammer does not recognize her... But still, she is powerful, perhaps even stronger than her brother.* Heimdall's contemplative expression didn't escape Loki's notice.

"Show me what's going on and i want to see my secret sister" Hearing this heimdall then create a screen to show them.

Loki saw his sister trying to lift the hammer.

Heimdall had clearly considered bringing Brynhildr to the throne as Odin's true heir, yet dismissed the idea. Loki scoffed."Couldn't even lift Mjolnir," he whispered with a smirk. "Poor sister, even Father's favorite weapon wouldn't choose her. Typical." (like it choose you lol)

"Tell me, Heimdall," Loki said, now sitting on the throne and lounging as if the entire situation was beneath him, "What do you *really* think of this Valkyrie? My sister, I assume?" He rolled his eyes with exaggerated annoyance, already imagining the inevitable family drama.

"Brynhildr carries herself with dignity and strength," Heimdall said. "She bears a resemblance to the warriors of old, a true daughter of Asgard. She may not have been able to lift Mjolnir, but she is formidable."

Loki scoffed. "Oh, please. Formidable? Can't lift the hammer. Sounds like she's just as much of a disappointment as Thor." He leaned back, rubbing his hands together. "

Next he saw her husband too can't lift the hammer. To which Loki laughed at him.

"Hahaha, Father said only worthy people can lift the hammer. Hahha you fools are not worthy"

Then, his eyes landed on another set of figures—Rama and Sita. Their divinity glowed so brightly that even Loki, with all his skepticism, couldn't ignore it. He saw Artoria, he could feel powerful divine power from her. He could feel their presence pressing against the fabric of reality. And then there was Ritsuka, radiating power yet mixed with something… entirely different.

"Who are they? Tell me about that fool who is close to my sister." Loki asked, feigning disinterest.

"They are not like the others of Midgard," Heimdall replied carefully. "I sense divine power from them—Rama, Sita, and Sigurd... they hail from different lands. Powerful avatars and warriors, all standing by Thor's side." He paused. "And this... Ritsuka, though he may appear mortal, there is something about him. He calls himself a priest of Gaia, but the magic he wields is... unique."

Loki's eyes narrowed. "Of course, more gods. Just what we need—*more* meddling gods." He threw up his hands. "And here I thought this Midgardian nonsense would be simple! But no, now we have a family reunion *and* a parade of divine wannabes."

His mood soured even further as Heimdall continued.

"Brynhildr is married," Heimdall said, his tone steady. "Her husband, Sigurd, wields great strength and a dragon-slaying blade."

Loki's eyes practically bulged out of his head. "*Married?* Father has been hiding this from us for how long, and now we find out she's been gallivanting around with some sword-wielding brute?" He scoffed. "I bet he's *another* one of Father's pet projects. Odin really can't help himself."

The storm of emotions raged inside Loki's chest. His pride and anger wrestled as he imagined confronting Odin about this ridiculous situation.

"Curse you, Father!" Loki muttered to himself again, louder this time. "First you destroyed my life, and now you burden me with this! What else are you hiding? A cousin? A second wife? A third daughter? A pet?"

Next he saw Sita stepping forward. With effortless grace, she lifted Mjolnir, causing everyone around to fall silent.

Loki's eyes widened in disbelief. "What in the Nine Realms... She lifted it?" His voice cracked in shock.

"A mortal—no, wait, not a mortal, but a goddess avater—still! How is this possible?!" Loki's disbelief was palpable. He leaned closer, staring at the scene through Heimdall's screen.

As Sita put the hammer down, embarrassed by the attention, Rama was next. He approached the hammer and lifted it with the same ease. Loki clenched his jaw, his fingers tightening on the throne's armrests.

"Rama too? What is this? A parade of hammer-lifting deities? Thor barely knows how to wield that thing, and now these gods from... wherever are just tossing it around like it's some toy? Didn't father said only worthy people can lift that hammer?"

Loki's agitation only grew worse when Artoria Lancer calmly approached Mjolnir. She, too, lifted it without hesitation, her expression serene as she held it high. Loki's mouth fell open, speechless.

He pointed wildly at the screen. "Her too?! What is this, Heimdall?!" Loki sputtered, unable to comprehend what was happening. "Who are these people? And why is it suddenly so easy for them to lift Thor's hammer?"

Heimdall, ever calm, replied, " It's simple. They are powerful WORTHY beings from different worlds. The Lady Artoria, in particular, has a bond with Ritsuka, one of deep understanding and love."

Loki stared at Heimdall for a moment, utterly dumbfounded, before exhaling sharply and rolling his eyes. "Oh, of course! It's about love, isn't it?" he mocked, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "How touching Bullshit!"

Then, as if the universe had heard his frustration, Ritsuka himself approached Mjolnir. Loki's eyes narrowed, watching intently.

"Go on, low mortal," he muttered, folding his arms. "Let's see you fail infront of them."

But to Loki's utter disbelief, Ritsuka, after a moment of contemplation, gripped the hammer and, with a slow but steady motion, lifted it into the air. The hammer shone brightly as if in approval, and Loki's entire expression froze, his face turning pale.

"No... no, no, no!" Loki spluttered, standing up, almost knocking over the throne in the process. "This is ridiculous! Absolutely absurd! That mortal—how? HOW does he do it?"

He began pacing furiously, ranting aloud. "Thor can barely string two sentences together, and yet here comes this... Ritsuka and his group, lifting the hammer as if they are the rightful Ruler's of Asgard? What nonsense!!"Loki stopped abruptly, running his fingers through his hair. His face twisted into a mix of frustration and envy.

"By the Norns, Thor's company just keeps getting worse. First a Valkyrie who's apparently my sister," he spat the word as though it were poison, "and now mortals and foreign gods just casually lifting Mjolnir like it's a toy. Is there no end to this madness?"

He threw himself dramatically back onto the throne, drumming his fingers on the armrest as he stared into the distance, eyes seething. "I knew Thor was reckless, but this... this is beyond anything I could've imagined."

Loki shook his head, entirely lost. His sharp mind usually allowed him to piece together riddles, but this was beyond his comprehension.

Loki's eyes widened as Artoria Lancer, the powerful woman next to Ritsuka, suddenly looked directly at him. Her sharp gaze sent a chill down his spine. He straightened up."She felt me watching."

Heimdall, sensing the moment, wisely stopped his surveillance, breaking Loki's link to the scene. Loki cursed once again, but more quietly this time, his mind racing. "She could see me from Midgard? That woman… and that group."

He felt fear but he remembered he had a Trump card. He could use it to eliminate all of them.

But his thoughts soon turned more devious. If this Brynhildr was truly as formidable as Heimdall said, then perhaps she could be used to his advantage. And Thor—his idiot brother—was clearly too emotionally attached to see through any manipulation.

After a few moments, Loki's wicked grin returned. He would descend to Earth himself soon, see this new sister, manipulate Thor, and learn how he could use these new players to his own ends.
