Deep within the Caverns, over the stretching arches of sand, tunnels, and luminant crystals, lying on the ground, was a young boy.
His spirals of strands distorted, his pink lips cracked and smeared by blood, his smooth sun-tanned skin filtied by dirt.
As he slowly opened his eyelids, the rays of Eos plunged down on his lips, blurring his vision even more. Lying on the ground, he looked to the air expecting the bright blue skies but was disappointed. With a frown on his face, he sighed, Right, I was in the Sworning Caverns, wasn't I.
As he focused his gaze upwards, something obscured his vision, long luscious jetblack fell onto his face, even obscuring his eyes, as a proportionate face with feminine yet masculine facial features was revealed. His pale skin smooth and as pure as snow, without flaw, his lips, a drop of blood onto a handkerchief.
"Huweyn?"
Moving his head away upon the release of Kairi's voice was Huweyn.
Crossing his arms, his brows furrowed, and an unpleasant frown rested upon his face, he sulked,"This whole situation is your fault, you know."
"What do you mean?" Kairi asked with a husky voice.
As he tried to pull himself up, a striking stabbing sensation enveloped deep within his ribs, immediately causing him to lower himself back to the ground.
"A-Ah!" He groaned, gasping for breath, as pain shot through his chest. He sighed,"Y-you're right… I think I went a little overboard– But I was getting there–"
The pain in his ribs wasn't the only bother, as he lied down, a head-splitting migraine ravaged him, and his body was burning hot; though because of the fever he felt cold. As he looked up to Huweyn, because of constant blackouts, he could hardly make out much of anything; his face was but a blur.
"W-What did I do now?"
Raising his voice,"Several broken ribs, Kairi! Do you know what that means or is the pain numbening your brain as well." With his hand on his face, he sighed,"Let your hair be a reminder for today."
"M-my hair?" Huweyn then looked out a small circular mirror out of his pocket, pushing straight into Kairi's face."Do you see now?"
As Kairi focused his eyes, the rays of Eos reflecting off the mirror, even with his vision blurred, he could see it. Amidst his spiraling lightly colored brown bouncy curls now lied gray strands resting all about.
"W-What happened to my hair?" Kairi panicked.
Huweyn then sighed,"You tell me, Kairi. I'd be delighted to hear your answer."
"W-Was it because of Soul Lapsing?" Kairi asked in panic.
"Yes, indeed." He then crossed his arms,"This is only your first time using Soul Lapsing, your body is not yet accustomed, I've seen this phenomenon many times before– You overdid it."
With a spiraling pain grasping his mind, and his limbs numb, with a palm on his forehead, Kairi retorted,"M-Maybe you're right." Breathing heavily,"I-I know you're angry, and I'll allow you to scold me later, but right now, I don't feel so good."
As Huweyn looked onto Kairi, seeing as to how badly depleted in both strength and mentally he was, the large dark swollen bags underneath his eyes, the sudden paleness of his skin, and his injured body he felt guilty. This is all my fault.
Reaching in his pockets, Huweyn then handed Kairi a pouch of water."Just don't drink all of it, we still have a long way to go."
In the moment that Huweyn's hand brushed against Kairi's, Huweyn immediately dropped the pouch of water, and raised his head to the ceiling instinctively. Someone's coming– I can feel them.
"W-What's wrong?"
In an instant, a big section of the rocky cavern ceilings came bustling down, rocks plunged down from the air and tumbled onto the ground.
"Boom!"
The heavy noise resounded throughout the entire Sworning Caverns, as the rays of Eos plunged down with majesty revealing the bright blue skies accompanied by sand falling down from atop the surface.
And in that moment, rapidly splitting through the rocks as they flew through the air, were an accumulation of sharp and thinly concentrated indigo-colored vibrant Soul Weaving threads. As the threads subsided, a figure gliding through the air, could be seen.
Huweyn, despite feeling alerted, couldn't help but watch in awe. They're good– Really good.
As they dangerously flew through the air, moments before hitting the ground, a bright luminous blue aura possessed their bodies, moments before they plunged into the sand.
Watching in shock, Kairi then turned to Huweyn,"Do you know who that might be?"
Reaching his hand out in an attempt to protect him, Huweyn retorted,"I don't– Stay back for now!"
With a dust-storm now covering the entire radius of the area from the fallen debris, Huweyn could now barely make out the indigo aura but amidst the dust, he saw a silhouette as even the littlest traces of aura slowly dissipated. As the dust slowly began to clear away, the silhouette of a human body became much more visible.
"Someone's here."
As the dust-storm slowly cleared up, a peculiar figure was revealed. Standing before them was a strange young fellow, he wore a long spiked-leather coat reaching far to his feet. He had long-ranging side gelled bangs that reached his chin, the right side of his hair shaved, with thick circular frames resting atop his nose bridge, with pink glossy lips, eyes that looked nearly black and a pale complexion, was the peculiar fellow.
As he looked onward to Kairi and Huweyn, he smirked, ear-to-ear."Hello."
His voice, like that of a child, resounded a deceptive tone.
"Who are you?"
"Me? I'm simply a typical housewife." Seeing the serenity resting upon both Kairi and Huweyn's faces, he sulked,"You were supposed to laugh, you know."
"Not quite a funny one, are we now?'' Huweyn retorted.
The peculiar figure then sighed,"Fine, you win, I'm a Transcender— Are you dense lot happy now?"
Voicing his suspicion, Huweyn then continued to question the figure,"Which guild?"
Upon the mention of a guild, the peculiar figure's unpleasant smile then turned to a stretching frown as he stared hauntingly into Huweyn's eyes, not blinking even once,"We're going straight there already… You're no fun, are you, Huweyn Whispering Ash?"
