Nneoma avoided Tunde for weeks, her heart still aching from the betrayal. She couldn't bear the thought of seeing him, of facing the pain he had caused her.
But eventually, she knew she had to confront him. She needed closure, needed to understand why he had done what he did.
So, she sought him out in the library, her heart racing with anxiety. As she approached him, she felt a mix of emotions: anger, hurt, and sadness.
"Tunde," she said, her voice firm but trembling. "We need to talk."
Tunde looked up, his eyes filled with regret. "Nneoma, I-"
But Nneoma cut him off, her words pouring out in a torrent. "Why, Tunde? Why did you kiss her? Why did you let her post those pictures? Didn't you think about how I would feel?"
Tunde sighed, his eyes cast down. "Nneoma, I was weak. I made a mistake. I wasn't thinking about anyone but myself."
Nneoma's eyes filled with tears. "That's the problem, Tunde. You never think about anyone but yourself. You only care about your feelings, your desires."
Tunde looked up, his eyes filled with tears. "That's not true, Nneoma. I care about you, I love you. I was just stupid and selfish."
Nneoma's expression softened slightly, her heart still aching. "I need time to think, Tunde. I don't know if I can forgive you."
Tunde nodded, understanding. "I don't expect you to forgive me right away. But please, don't give up on us. We can get through this, together."
Nneoma nodded, her eyes filled with tears. "I'll try, Tunde. But it won't be easy."ReplyForwardAdd reaction
