Ethan sat at his desk, scrutinizing the photos he took earlier on. Among them was pictures of strange markings. He couldn't shake the feeling that they were more than just random graffiti.
"Hey, Ethan, what's got you so engrossed?" The libarian, Sarah, asked, peering over his shoulder.
"These symbols. I think they might be connected to the strange occurrences in town," Ethan replied, his eyes still fixed on the images.
Sarah raised an eyebrow. "You mean the animal attacks? I thought that was just wild animals doing their thing."
Ethan leaned in, his voice lowering. "I've been talking to the locals, and they're whispering about supernatural stuff. I think there's more to it than just animals."
Sarah chuckled. "You're not serious, are you? Werewolves and vampires? Come on, Ethan."
Ethan's expression remained serious. "I'm telling you, Sarah, there's something strange going on in this town. And I aim to uncover it."
He turned back to his research, determined to find a connection between the markings and the ritual. Little did he know, Luna was watching him from across the street, her eyes narrowed in suspicion.
"Luna, what are you doing?" her pack member, Alex, asked, approaching her.
"Keeping an eye on the journalist," Luna replied, her gaze still fixed on Ethan. "He's digging deeper than he should."
Alex frowned. "You think he's a threat?"
Luna's expression turned thoughtful. "I'm not sure yet. But I intend to find out."
Ethan's research led him to a dusty old book in the town's archives. As he flipped through the yellowed pages, he stumbled upon a passage describing an ancient ritual that took place in Silverwood.
"'The Ritual of the Moonlight Transformation,'" Ethan read aloud, his heart racing with excitement. "It says here that the ritual was used to summon the power of the full moon and transform into...into creatures with enhanced strength and agility."
Ethan's mind raced with the implications. Could this be the explanation for the strange occurrences in town? He needed more evidence.
As he delved deeper into the book, he found a hand-drawn map, seemingly pointing to a location in the nearby forest. Ethan's curiosity got the better of him, and he decided to investigate further.
He grabbed his camera and notebook and headed into the forest, following the map to a clearing surrounded by ancient trees. In the center of the clearing stood a large stone, adorned with the same symbols he had seen earlier.
"Whoa, this is it," Ethan whispered, his eyes fixed on the stone. "This must be the site of the ritual."
Suddenly, he heard a rustling in the bushes. Ethan turned to face the sound, his heart pounding in anticipation.
