Chapter 19 - Chapter 18-testing

⚠️RANT ALERT!!!⚠️

Author-san: This is unrelated to the story, I just need to vent for a moment, so feel free to skip this if you'd like. This is about the people who come into a story and shit all over it just because of one or two things they don't like or just because they feel like it, and then immediately call it a "bad story." What gets to me is when they don't stop there; they just keep spamming hate, over and over. I've seen it happen with other authors, and I've been on the receiving end, just recently.

It's sad because this kind of harassment has driven so many talented authors to stop writing and uploading entirely, I almost did. It's everywhere—even on Wattpad. And before anyone jumps in with "you just can't take criticism blah blah blah," let me be clear: I can handle criticism. I appreciate when people offer genuine, constructive feedback, and I know many of you just want the story to stay strong, entertaining, and fun and don't want it to fall flat I get that and I'm trying to appeal to and fix some of my mistakes

And I know not everyone is toxic; a lot of you are amazing and supportive people, and I'm so grateful to each one of you who reads and encourages this story. Just a reminder to everyone that words carry weight and we don't know what the authors are going through in life, just give them space, support, and good luck.

Alright, rant over—let's get to the chapter!

And I apologize for the lackluster chapter I just did this while working and go check out my other books if you are interested

Shiba stood in his workshop in his mansion, eyeing the pile of paper and ink set out before him. The recent reward from the system had given him advanced sealing knowledge into his mind, but putting it to use was another story. He needed to get comfortable with the basics before diving into the complex stuff, like space-time seals or summing deities.

"Alright," Shiba muttered to himself, rolling up his sleeves. " basics come first-Paper bombs first. Let's not blow myself up on day one."

With a deep breath, he picked up a piece of chakra-infused paper and dipped his brush into the ink, concentrating as he wrote out the formula. The knowledge came naturally, like muscle memory, but he was still careful, checking his work twice. Finally, he finished the seal, let the ink dry, and attached it to a kunai.

"Here goes nothing," he said, chucking the kunai toward a training dummy.

The explosion was enormous, echoing through the village. Sand and dust billowed up, and the dummy was shredded to pieces. Shiba grinned as he looked at the destruction. But it wasn't long before he heard multiple hurried footsteps approaching his mansion.

Multiple Suna ninjas sprinted up, their faces a mix of concern and panic.

"Kazekage-sama! Are you alright?" one of them shouted, scanning the area for any threat.

Shiba waved them off. "Relax, everyone. Just trying out some new techniques. Got a little out of hand, but I'm fine."

The ninjas exchanged glances, relief washing over them. "Understood, Kazekage-sama," one said with a bow. "But, uh, maybe give us a warning next time, please?"

Shiba chuckled, nodding. "Yeah, fair enough. Thanks for checking on me, you may leave."

As they left, Shiba turned back to his workspace. "Alright, that worked," he muttered. "Let's take it up a notch."

He set up a fresh piece of paper, this time focusing on a basic defensive seal that could detect unwanted intruders. Pouring his chakra into the high-quality ink, he sketched out the formula. A bit trickier than the paper bomb, but after two attempts, he got the formula just right.

"Let's see if you work," he muttered, placing the seals around his property.

He grabbed a small animal—a desert lizard scurrying by—and let it cross the seal's perimeter. Instantly, he felt a pulse in his mind, like a quiet alarm ringing or ding.

"Nice," he whispered, excitement bubbling up. "If that worked, maybe… just maybe…"

His thoughts drifted to a more ambitious idea: creating his version of the Flying Raijin. Teleporting was already legendary enough, but he wanted to add his twist. What if he could mark an enemy with a seal, then use it to teleport an attack—like a Rasengan or fireball—straight to the marked person? A smirk spread across Shiba's face.

[a few hours later]

After a few hours of brainstorming, Shiba felt the familiar rush of creativity flowing through him. Ideas sparked like fireworks in his mind, but one concept stood out among the rest: a gravity seal. The potential of a seal that could increase the weight of his punches and be very helpful with his training, imagine making his punches feel as heavy as a full-grown adult or more, was exhilarating.

"Alright, let's do this," Shiba muttered to himself, gathering his materials. High-quality paper, chakra-infused ink, and a steady hand were all he needed. He spread the supplies across his desk, his mind racing with the possibilities. "If I can nail this, I'll be a goddamn powerhouse in no time."

Shiba took a deep breath to focus, grounding himself after all he didn't want to accidentally make a black hole if he made a mistake. He began with the foundational design, sketching out a simple pattern on the paper. "First, I'll need to create a base that can hold the weight," he said, channeling chakra into the ink, making it glow vibrantly.

As he drew, he muttered the kanji for "gravity" (重力) and"strength" (力), envisioning how the seal would operate. He envisioned an intricate web of lines and symbols that would amplify his strength, making his punches more powerful. (AN: I'm not Japanese or fluent in Japanese so I just got these from Google)

Once he had the basic structure, he focused on embedding the activation mechanism. "This is where the real magic happens," he said, adding more kanji: "Activate" (発動) and "Weight" (重さ). These characters would respond to his chakra, allowing him to control the intensity of gravity at will.

After several revisions and a bit of trial and error, Shiba finally had a design he was satisfied with. The paper shimmered under the light, the kanji glowing softly. "Now, to see if it works."

He placed the seal on his palm and concentrated his chakra on it. Almost instantly, a wave of pressure enveloped him. He staggered under the sudden force, but quickly regained his balance. "Holy shit!" he exclaimed, trying to stabilize himself. "This is intense!"

Shiba felt the weight pressing down on him, channeling the force into his punch. He swung at the air, the impact feeling solid and powerful. "Damn! This is gonna change everything," he grinned, excitement bubbling within him.

"Now, let's create some clones," he said, shaking off the effects of the gravity seal. "Time to spread these defensive seals across Suna."

Shiba began weaving the signs for the Shadow Clone Jutsu. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" he shouted, and in a burst of smoke, dozens of clones materialized around him, each one eager for direction.

"Alright, team! We've got work to do. I need you all to help me set up some advanced defensive seals around the village. We'll use detection and alarm seals," Shiba said with excitement in his voice.

The clones nodded in unison, their enthusiasm palpable. "split up! We'll cover more ground that way," Shiba instructed. "And make sure to use the gravity seal when you punch or kick—practice makes perfect!"

With that, the clones dispersed, dashing out of his office and into the streets of Suna. Shiba watched them go, a proud smile on his face. "I'll get started on the seals for my office," he said, turning back to his desk.

Shiba took out more high-quality paper and began sketching designs for the detection and alarm seals. He knew that for the seals to be effective, they needed to be intricate. "Let's see… a detection seal should sense chakra signatures nearby," he murmured, jotting down the necessary symbols.

He began the first seal, infusing it with chakra as he went along. As he wrote, he pictured the chakra flow, imagining how it would react to nearby energy. The kanji for "detect" (検出) and "danger" (危険) filled the paper as he carefully crafted the symbols.

Once he finished the detection seal, he moved on to the alarm seal. "This one needs to be loud," he muttered, adding the kanji for "alarm" (アラーム) to the design. The goal was to create a sound that could pierce through any commotion, alerting him to any intruders.

After several tries and some frustration with the intricacies of the seals, Shiba felt a sense of satisfaction wash over him as he finished both designs. "Alright! Time to test these out," he said, his energy renewed.

With his completed seals in hand, Shiba made more shadow clones to help him set the seals. "You'll go to the northern entrance, you'll take the east, and I'll cover the west and south," he instructed. The clones dispersed once again, each clutching the seals as they raced toward their assigned locations.

Shiba headed to the western gate, eager to set the detection seal. As he approached, he felt a buzz of anticipation. "This should make it harder for any spies or enemies to sneak up on us," he said, placing the detection seal on the ground and activating it.

The seal glowed with green light, illuminating the area. He could feel the energy pulsing, ready to alert him whenever something approached. "Hell yeah! This is going to work perfectly," he shouted, a grin spreading across his face.

Next, he moved to the southern entrance to place the alarm seal. "If anyone crosses this threshold, they'll wish they hadn't," he muttered, activating the seal. He imagined the blaring alarm that would sound if it was triggered, picturing the chaos it would unleash on any unsuspecting intruders.

With both seals placed, Shiba felt a wave of pride wash over him. He stood back to admire his handiwork, the seals glowing softly in the dim light. "Now, all we have to do is wait," he said, feeling a sense of satisfaction settle in his heart.

As he took a moment to relax, he noticed a small group of villagers approaching, their faces a mix of curiosity and concern.

" Kazekage-sama! We heard some loud noises. Is everything alright, are being attacked?" one of the women with her child called out.

Shiba waved them over, his smile widening. "Just practicing with some new seals! Nothing to worry about. I'm making sure we're all safe from any threats. You'll thank me later!"

As the villagers walked away, reassured and confused, Later that night, as Shiba settled down in his office, Shiba reviewed his progress. The seals were all in place, and he felt secure knowing he was taking the necessary precautions to protect his village. "Now, I just need to make sure everything runs smoothly," he said, leaning back in his chair.
