Shiba POV

The air was heavy with anticipation as the Chinoike clan prepared for their move. It had taken a few weeks, but after convincing the elders and organizing the migration, everything was finally in motion. Erza, Zoro, and I had been working alongside the clan, helping them pack up their lives from the Valley of Hell. It wasn't easy, and I knew that not everyone was thrilled about leaving their homeland, but the promise of a better future in Suna had won them over.

As we set off, the line of people stretched for miles. It was a massive migration, and we had to be careful. Even though we tried to keep things low-key, word had clearly gotten out. And that was when the real trouble started.

It wasn't long before we got word that the wife of the last Lightning Daimyo had heard about the move. Apparently, the Chinoike clan's escape from the Valley of Hell didn't sit well with her. She still held a grudge from the past, blaming them for her husband's death. Now, she had sent a group of her loyal ninjas to stop us.

We first noticed something was off when Erza spotted movement in the distance. Her eyes narrowed as she scanned the horizon. "We've got company."

Zoro and I exchanged a glance. "How many?" I asked.

"Too many to be friendly," she replied, gripping her sword. "Looks like they're coming in fast."

The Chinoike elders had warned me this might happen. The old vendetta between the clan and the Land of Lightning hadn't been forgotten. Even though they'd been banished to the Valley of Hell, the Daimyo's wife still had enough pull to send ninjas after us.

"We need to get the clan to safety," I said. "I'll take care of the ninjas."

Erza smirked, her hand on the hilt of her sword. "We're not letting you have all the fun. Zoro and I will help handle this."

I nodded, grateful to have them by my side. "Alright, let's go."

I turned to the Chinoike elders. "Keep moving toward Suna. We'll deal with the threat and catch up."

They hesitated but eventually nodded, urging the rest of the clan to continue. With the elders taking charge of the migration, the three of us set off toward the approaching group of ninjas.

As we got closer, I could see them—around twenty shinobi in dark armor, moving with purpose. They had a serious look in their eyes, and I could tell they weren't here to negotiate.

One of the ninjas stepped forward, clearly the leader. "You're not going anywhere with the Chinoike clan," he said, his voice cold. "Our orders are to bring them back or eliminate them."

I cracked my knuckles, stepping forward. "You'll have to go through us first."

The leader scoffed. "You really think you can stop all of us?"

Zoro unsheathed his three swords with a smirk. "We've faced worse."

Erza, with her usual confidence, stood ready beside us, her eyes sharp and focused. "Let's make this quick."

The leader raised his hand, signaling for his men to attack. In an instant, they rushed toward us, weapons drawn and jutsu ready.

I reacted quickly, forming hand seals. "Earth Style: Earth Wall!"

A thick wall of earth erupted from the ground, cutting off some of the attackers and giving us a bit of space. Zoro wasted no time, charging forward with his swords spinning. He clashed with the ninjas head-on, his blades flashing as he took them down one by one with ruthless efficiency.

Erza darted to the side, engaging another group with a graceful swing of her sword. She moved like lightning, her strikes precise and deadly, cutting through the enemy with ease. Her speed and strength were unmatched, and she left a trail of defeated foes in her wake.

I focused on the leader, who was watching us with a calculating look. He wasn't like the others—this one was smarter, more cautious. He formed a series of quick hand seals, and suddenly, the ground beneath me started to shake.

"Lightning Style: Thunder Trap!" he shouted, and I felt a surge of electricity pulse through the earth.

I jumped back just in time, avoiding the crackling lightning that shot up from the ground. The leader smirked, thinking he had the upper hand, but I wasn't done yet.

"Wind Style: Gale Palm!" I thrust my hand forward, sending a powerful gust of wind toward him. The force of the wind knocked him off balance, and I followed up with a well-placed punch to his gut, sending him crashing to the ground.

The leader groaned, struggling to get back up, but I planted my foot on his chest, pinning him down. "You're not stopping this migration," I said coldly. "If you and your men don't retreat now, none of you will make it out alive."

He glared at me, gritting his teeth. "You think you've won? The Daimyo's wife won't stop. She'll send more."

I pressed my foot harder against his chest, cutting off his breath for a moment. "Let her try."

With that, I knocked him out cold and looked around. Zoro and Erza had finished off the rest of the ninjas, leaving the battlefield quiet once more. We didn't have time to linger. The Chinoike clan was still moving, and we needed to catch up.

"Let's go," I said, turning back toward the migrating clan. "We still have a long way to go."

Erza nodded, wiping her blade clean, while Zoro sheathed his swords with a satisfied grunt. Together, we headed back to the clan, ready to continue the journey to Suna. The attack was a reminder that we weren't out of danger yet, but it didn't matter. We'd made it this far, and nothing was going to stop us now.
